I don't think he will change at all, I mean why would he? He has been positively reinforced for what he did at Oregon to the tune of 8 million a year. He is smarter than everyone else, and he has the checks to prove it!

80 plays is not a “must” for me either, but with all the talk from the two coaches—I would hope high scoring returns again.

Placing USC ahead of Oregon just makes me ill. Didn't see that coming! Four opponents on our schedule is in his top 25...

I agree with you and would assert he did not trust his assistant coaches either. I do not believe we saw the "real" Joe Moorhead or Tim DeRuyter...not when their track records were so much better than what we saw.

OK, there is an assumption in your post that they WILL carry out the offense as we anticipate--due to what they have said. It is just that...there are lots of things they could say later as to "why" they did not carry it out, both real and imagined. I hope they stick to the impression they have given us...

Thanks! I always wonder if people notice some of the extra work I go through on an article, as I found myself saying over-and-over..."I want to believe," and realized it came from X-Files. Then it took a LONG time to find the right photo that was not copyrighted and available for an article. For the forum--we can bring in any photo, but for a published article--much more difficult.

He is very skillful at duping the alumni, and I should know. The phrase, "I Want to Believe" applies to 'Cane fans and to some Oregon fans....and more will be revealed in Friday's article on FishDuck written by you-know-who about what to believe from coaches. It might ruffle some Duck feathers, but the good news is I cannot be fired or "cancelled" by anyone who disagrees since I have my own sites. But it needs to be said...

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon head coach Dana Altman announced today the signing of transfer Keeshawn Barthelemy, a 6-2 guard from the University of Colorado. Barthelemy spent the last two years with Colorado and started 28 of 33 games for the Buffaloes last season, averaging 11.1 points (.420 FG%, .826 FT%), 2.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 25.8 minutes per game. His 82.6 percent free throw percentage ranked fifth in the Pac-12, making 76-of-92 attempts on the year. Barthelemy reached double figures in 18 games and notched 19 points, five assists and four rebounds in the Jan. 25 game at Oregon, his highest scoring outing in conference play. “Keeshawn will add valuable Pac-12 experience to our backcourt, and we are really excited to add him to the team,” said Altman. “He has shown tremendous improvement in his first two seasons, and we expect him have a real impact on the team.” From Montreal, Quebec, Barthelemy represented Team Canada in the U17 FIBA World Cup, helping the team to a fourth-place finish. A graduate of Thornlea Secondary School in Toronto, Barthelemy and new teammate Quincy Guerrier were AAU teammates at Brookwood Elite in Montreal.

My FishDuck Friends, I know this will not last forever, and yes--it is the off season, but our numbers of deleted posts in April was an All-Time new record... ...for the least amount, percentage wise among posts. I thought half of 1% was good, and in the first quarter we had only 1/4th of 1% posts deleted--but the month of April only had 1/8th of 1% posts deleted! One was a drive-by Troll, and the other three were regulars who just mess-up once in a while like we all do. We acknowledge the mistake, remind them of the rules and forget about it. (Unless it continues and it almost never does) What a community. I love this group! It is so different than anywhere else and I appreciate it. Different? Seems normal to us!

I have to admit that the “ingredients” that he lists are true, and are very impressive. But I get back to what I have been stating many times, and that is the more they are hyped, the bigger the victory when we beat them! There is no dishonor in losing to a great team, and there is extreme pride and deserved laurels when you beat a great team. That is my spin, and I am sticking to it!

Joshua, your explanation of the Bill Conerly stat about the success of teams winning more with explosion plays, is not something I have seen anywhere. It is a fantastic, concise, easy to understand explanation as to why we need explosion plays not just for entertainment, but for a higher winning percentage. I don’t know which is more relevant to me, how you found and explained that statistic that backs up my lust for high scoring, or the fact that our current offensive coordinator and head coach “get-it!” Another superb article with great observations. The term “critical analysis,” is a foreign term to USC writers these days. In fact, I do not think it is even in their vocabulary! I call it as I see it, on both the other teams and ours, and I love how everybody here embraced that as well. It gives us so much more objective discussions, and is so enjoyable! And when I am waving the pom-poms, I do make it quite apparent! (And Jester, I would not want to touch you right now, as you are hot!)

Now I am speculating...but he might be a "tweener" in the new defense? Not a speed pass-rusher, but not a big body at 285 pounds? Or it could be something completely different, but the coaches were working for a replacement.
