  1. Yes, I know he began in the east, and then traveled to Arizona State, and then went to the South. But when you love football and THIS sport this much...
  2. If he stays healthy? Absolutely possible, especially with ILB Blitzes... Oregon Football: Now healthy, Justin Flowe set to ‘shock the world’ DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Oregon fans saw what he could do in a single game last year, and now the Ducks’ young LB has a chance to make a name for himself in 2022.
  3. Sounds like he really went over many times... Mykael Wright isn’t over the Pac-12 refs in Oregon’s loss to Stanford DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Do you remember the numerous crazy flags at the end of Stanford vs. Oregon that cost the Ducks the game? Mykael Wright does, and he isn’t over it.
  4. Stevie Hansen got the win over the Huskies of the east. Last game of the North Carolina tournament and the Ducks won five!
  5. I could not believe my eyes reading Dana's reaction in the Eugene paper to their loss at WSU. He felt that in order to win in the Pac-12 Tournament, "we need to play much harder." Wow. Have you ever heard that from him? We have heard many forms of that through this season, and he is basically saying at this point, "I know my coaching works, and if we are failing--it is on you, the players." Whew!
  6. Isaac Ayon went the full seven innings for his longest career outing. The second game will start at 5:00 with Andrew Mosiello on the mound.
  7. I cannot help but wonder if a little "Oregon-Payback" is going on after our glory years?
  8. It is so GREAT to see Ariel Carlson get her home-run groove going over the last two weeks. Oregon/Eugene grown, and fun to see!
  9. He was able to be with her these last two months, and perhaps this changes some of the narrative.
  10. The final box score sent to me last night from Oregon Athletics had Prince with only two fouls.
  11. The Ducks trailed 1-0, and 2-1 for eight innings and then tied it up in the 8th. The pride of Hillsboro, Kolby Somers, got out of a jam with runners at the corners with no outs...but mowed them down for the save. Then, one of the most unlikely hitters in Gavin Grant, (hitting .259 coming into the game) hit a walk-off home run to end it! A terrible shame the online streaming was not working, but perhaps they will get it going for tomorrow's double-header!
  12. Your posts are getting to me more-and-more, as I enjoy your humor. Great fun-thanks.
  13. The look on Dave's face above is one we all have at the TV so many times each game Bill does..."really?"
  14. Whoa! Don't spoil the narrative with facts mind you! Very cool you pulled that up, and I would have never known--thanks!
  15. Remember when we heard of a claim on Facebook that Thibs and Cristobal had a scream-out fight? Thibs called MC “a fraud,” and MC countered with telling him that “he is not working very hard. That he is getting beaten by guys who will selling insurance in a few months.” Stuff like that in front of the team builds bad-blood, and a dIscreet NFL interview could be payback? This is all hearsay and speculation on my part, but that is what we do in a forum!
  16. Not a surprise to me, as they were not deep threats at Oregon and had trouble gaining separation. The newbies in the Alamo Bowl made it look routine... How Oregon Ducks receivers Johnny Johnson III, Devon Williams performed at the NFL Combine WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM It wasn’t necessarily a surprise that the former Oregon wide outs ran two of the six slowest 40-year dash times among receivers on Thursday, at 4.60 seconds for Johnson and 4.65 for Williams
  17. The only way they are going to the NCAA tournament is by winning the Pac-12 Tournament next week. Unfortunately, that requires consistent performance and I don't see that happening. If they get an NIT bid...should they take it? I say no. They've embarrassed themselves enough; this is not the year, so no use fighting it. AND...now do you play Bittle and Soares extensively? Last night's game....
  18. Are the barbarians coming over the hill? "No, but I can hear them in the distance. Better leave Rome..." Feels that way with college sports, and I just gotta enjoy it while I can. A stretch, a yawn...and its GONE.
  19. (From Oregon Athletics Official Press Release) The University of Oregon announced today the creation of the Official NIL Marketplace of the Oregon Ducks, the first licensed school marketplace in college sports, which will support Oregon student-athletes in maximizing name, image, and likeness opportunities. Through a new relationship with Opendorse, which will power the Oregon Ducks platform, Oregon is the first school in the country to provide a single, branded marketplace containing a full directory of UO student-athletes. With this new platform, interested third parties can contact, book, pitch and pay any Oregon student-athlete for NIL activities in one compliant platform, built specifically for the student-athletes' needs. “Our new and innovative partnership with Opendorse allows University of Oregon student-athletes to continue to maximize opportunities related to their name, image, and likeness,” Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens said. “The Oregon Ducks Marketplace provides an efficient process to allow UO student-athletes to connect with those wishing to offer opportunities, benefitting them and continuing Oregon’s leadership role in all NIL-related endeavors.” Every Oregon student-athlete can choose to create their own Opendorse profile that can be customized and promoted to fans on their personal social media channels. “Today’s launch sets a new standard for student-athlete NIL support,” Opendorse CEO Blake Lawrence said. “Starting today, Oregon fans have a single place where they can directly support their favorite student-athletes with NIL opportunities. We’ve spent a decade building Opendorse to make athletes more accessible to the people who want to support them – and the Oregon NIL Marketplace accomplishes this for Oregon student-athletes.” In addition to the marketplace, Oregon receives full access to Opendorse's all-in-one NIL platform, providing best-in-class compliance, content and education tools to Duck student-athletes: Content: student-athletes are equipped with access to on-demand video and photo content through drag-and-drop media libraries, one-tap publishing technology, and real-time analytics. Education: student-athletes receive brand value assessments, live consultation sessions with industry leaders, and on-demand access to the NIL Masterclass, an education series featuring experts on brand building, monetization, and financial literacy from leading brands including Meta, Twitter, the Players’ Tribune, Overtime and more. Compliance: student-athletes can automatically disclose NIL activity details to their institution to ensure eligibility. Interested supporters can click here to view the Official NIL Marketplace of the Oregon Ducks.
