Oregon Mauls Maryland 13-3, & Wins Series
Game summary at the bottom of the thread later.... --------------------------------------------------------- 2-0 Terps after two innings. C'mon, Our Beloved Ducks! Very notable that Will Sanford is not the starting pitcher, but Jason Reitz is for the third game...

Mario Cristobal, ie, the Iamaleava Situation: ‘We’re Not Going to Do it at Miami’
Actually it is a quite a list...and yes, Mario always has a "humor" target on him, as does USC, Washington, and of course I cannot ever let up on Beavis!

Mario Cristobal, ie, the Iamaleava Situation: ‘We’re Not Going to Do it at Miami’
From an article by Griffin McVeigh of On3: “We’re not going to do that at Miami,” Cristobal said. “And I say that without any hesitation. If anyone is thinking that — They can be the best player in the world. If they wanna play holdout, they might as well play get out. Don’t want to do that, don’t want Miami to become that." Damn right. If anyone is going to mess this team up...it will be ME! Time Out!

Maryland Run-Rules Ducks 12-2
4-2 Maryland after five innings. Oregon did not replace Clarke when he was showing shakiness, who then got shelled. Then another pitcher was brought in who I have little confidence in, Ryan Featherston, did contain the damage. Whew! C'mon Ducks...we can still win this game!

Maryland Run-Rules Ducks 12-2
2-2 after four innings. Ducks strand bases-loaded....aaregg! But Colin Clarke suddenly got his pitches back, and went 1-2-3 with Maryland batters.

Maryland Run-Rules Ducks 12-2
A second game today will start at approximately 12:30 PST... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2-2 after three innings. It is great that our bats are better today, as it is a sunny day there, but Oregon starter Collin Clarke almost melted in the third inning. I would pull him as he does not have his confidence today, IMHO.

Diamond Ducks Win Nail-Biter Over Terps 5-4!
Smith Sparks Ducks Ninth-Inning Rally COLLEGE PARK, Md. — Making his first start since Feb. 22, Drew Smith homered and delivered two key ninth inning plays that helped No. 15 Oregon rally for a 5-4 come-from-behind win over Maryland at Bob “Turtle” Smith Stadium on Saturday in game one of the Big Ten Conference series. Smith, who suffered a lower-body injury in game one of a doubleheader on Feb. 22 against Rhode Island and missed the next 16 games, had an RBI single, stole a base and scored the go-ahead run in the top of the ninth. Anson Aroz led off the final inning with a walk and stole second to get into scoring position. Smith made the steal matter singling through the right side, scoring Aroz to tie the game. Smith, who advanced to second on the throw to the plate, swiped third to set up the winning run. That came when Ryan Cooney lifted a 1-2 pitch deep into left field allowing Smith to tag and score. Seth Maddox, who got the final out of the eighth inning after coming out of the bullpen, retired to Terrapins in order in the ninth to pick up his first career win at Oregon. Drew Smith How it Happened: Oregon (23-9, 11-5 Big Ten) took the lead by scoring a pair of runs in the second inning. Mason Neville worked a one-out walk and scored when Dominic Hellman ripped a double into the right-center field gap. Hellman moved to third on a passed ball and then scored on a Jacob Walsh RBI ground out. Maryland (15-20, 3-10 Big Ten) got one back in its half of the inning, but Oregon answered in the fourth when Smith homered just to the right side of the batter’s eye in center field. The Terrapins took a 4-3 lead, hitting solo home runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings to set up Oregon’s dramatic ninth inning. Box Score Notes: Oregon won game one of a series for the sixth straight week, while running the season total to game-one wins to seven in eight weeks … Walsh’s eighth-inning double extended his hitting streak to nine games and his reached base streak to 26 games … The double was the 56th of Walsh’s career, just two behind Gabe Matthews who ranks second in career doubles at Oregon …Grayson Grinsell battled through 5.2 innings allowing just two runs on three hits despite walking six (none came around to score) … Grinsell’s five Ks gave him 222 in his career, tying Jon Wheeler (1967-69) for fifth all-time at UO. On Deck: The Ducks and Terrapins will play a doubleheader on Sunday to wrap up the series. First pitch is at 9:02 a.m. (PT).

Ranking Dan Lanning's Best Football games at Oregon
A highly understated Oregon win was a complete domination of Illinois, 38-9, who turned out to be No. 16 in the nation.

Diamond Ducks Win Nail-Biter Over Terps 5-4!
Ducks win 5-4 with a comeback in the ninth! Maryland was tough as they hit their way back and took a 4-3 lead at the end of eight innings, but Oregon fought through with great at-bats to score two runs in the ninth, and then Oregon Reliever Seth Mattox came in to close out the Terps 1-2-3! Whew! My apologies for not posting the score at end of eight, but the whole thing got me rattled, and I had to take an extended restroom break. Talk about PUCKER-TIME! Drew Smith continues his hot hitting...

Diamond Ducks Win Nail-Biter Over Terps 5-4!
3-1 Ducks after five innings. Maryland has shown great plate discipline and getting walks out of Grinsell, but Oregon has left Terp runners stranded!

Diamond Ducks Win Nail-Biter Over Terps 5-4!
3-1 Ducks after four innings. Drew Smith was injured in the first part of this year, and in the past had played third base and second base. Today he is in Right Field, and hit his second home run in the past two games. Good to have some more muscle in the lineup!

Diamond Ducks Win Nail-Biter Over Terps 5-4!
2-1 Ducks after three innings. Dominic Hellman got an RBI on a double...when in a full-count! You GOT to see this sweet pick-off move at second base below by Grayson Grinsell and Ryan Cooney!

Diamond Ducks Win Nail-Biter Over Terps 5-4!
0-0 after two innings. One thing about TV versus live streaming is that you can really see the movement of the pitches better. Damn...Oregon's Grayson Grinsell has some of those pitches cooking...
