  1. You can listen to the 24 minutes right from this article. Rave reviews... Mighty Oregon Podcast: Dan Lanning - University of Oregon Athletics GODUCKS.COM Part one of Rob Moseley's conversation with Dan Lanning, who details his journey to becoming the next head coach of Oregon football.
  2. EUGENE, Ore. – Vallery Wong was named the national player of the week by D1Softball and Extra Inning Softball on Tuesday and was also honored as the Pac-12 player of the week. Wong led No. 11 Oregon’s home run barrage on its trip to North Carolina, belting five of the Ducks’ 17 round-trippers. The junior catcher from Sacramento, Calif., helped Oregon go 5-0 in games against UNC Greensboro, North Carolina, Penn State and UConn (twice). Wong went 9-for-17 at the plate (.529) with nine RBI. She slugged 1.412 for the weekend and only struck out once. Wong entered the weekend with one career home run in 101 career at-bats. That changed in a hurry Thursday night at UNC Greensboro when her eighth-inning homer gave the Ducks a temporary 4-3 lead in a contest they would eventually win 12-4 in 10 innings. She continued her torrid pace Friday versus Penn State with a two-run home run in the first inning. Saturday, she went yard twice versus Connecticut and again versus North Carolina, giving Wong a home run in four consecutive games. She also threw out a runner against the Tar Heels. Wong not only had at least one hit in all five games, but also knocked in at least one run in all five. Over the weekend, Wong raised her average 105 points (.259 to .364). Wong shared Extra inning Softball’s national honors with South Florida pitcher Georgina Corrick. The Ducks (16-3) are preparing for their 2022 home opener Friday at 4 p.m. versus Portland State.
  3. Yes, the media has times before or after practice depending upon the day. We will post the reports here in the forum!
  4. Oregon had 17 hits, and four home runs! Five pitchers got more experience and did well for OBD... Jacob Hughes got his first start and in three innings had three hits and no runs allowed. Dylan Sabian only gave up one hit in a scoreless two innings. Logan Mercado gave up a two-run homer and that's it in two innings. Scott Ellis had one hit and no runs given up in his inning pitched. RJ Gordon had one hit and no runs in his inning to wrap it up!
  5. Oh boy....so much speculation about so many questions! So much to learn about the new coaching staff and their plans...and with the way Basketball is going....it is a nice wheel pass back to football! 2022 OREGON FOOTBALL SPRING PRACTICE SCHEDULE Practice No. 1 – March 10 Practice No. 2 – March 12 Spring Break Practice No. 3 – March 29 Practice No. 4 – March 31 Practice No. 5 – April 2 Practice No. 6 – April 5 Practice No. 7 – April 7 Practice No. 8 – April 9 Practice No. 9 – April 12 Practice No. 10 – April 14 Practice No. 11 – April 16 Practice No. 12 – April 19 Practice No. 13 – April 21 Practice No. 14 – April 23 (Spring Game) Practice No. 15 – April 25
  6. I think they are anticipating after Spring Football, that a couple of players will see newbie freshmen pass them on the depth chart and they can see the PT handwriting on the wall. I would not be surprised to see the No. 3 QB transfer out as well in May/June. I don't like it, but it is the world now. Play me or I'm gone...
  7. EUGENE, Ore. – Senior guard Will Richardson will not travel with the team to Las Vegas for the Pac-12 Tournament due to a non-COVID-19-related illness. The All-Pac-12 second team honoree has averaged 14.1 points (.454 FG%), 3.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.3 steals in 30 games (all starts) this season.
  8. I view him like I do Bill Walton; some love them, some hate them and I feel both emotions toward them!
  9. Well, you still have to provide an email address to read it, and I really don't want to be on their list. If you can provide a summary--that would be great. Thanks!
  10. He has his own radio show, and I don't know the status of that either.
  11. John likes to do opinion articles, and perhaps he wants even more latitude in what he writes and is joining an independent site? Just guessing, and I wish him well.
  12. That first paragraph of yours cartm25, was just EPIC. You so nailed a high percentage of our society today in that paragraph. Thanks.
  13. I think we all were over-hyped about her, Prince, the returning team's chances this years, etc. It would seem that the Championship bloom is off the Oregon Rose.
  14. This was not a losing season, and I would not want to make a knee-jerk mistake. We could end up like UCLA in football who fired Jim Mora--who did far better than his replacement in a four year period.
  15. Bellotti ran an offense (West Coast) that is similar to what Justin is running in LA...whew!
  16. I wish I could give 20 "thumbs-up" and another 20 "laughter" icons, as that was a riot. Your post is the only good thing to come from that game!
  17. I was waiting for this community to pounce on that! Fishing is a great sport everywhere, and if he thinks they have great bass in the south...come to Ten Mile Lake on the Oregon coast! I LOVE how he is embracing our lifestyle and values right-off-the-bat. Such a great example to players from the urban areas that fun can be had away from video games! (Do you think he knows where the slew is that Justin Herbert caught that carp?)
  18. Yes, I know he began in the east, and then traveled to Arizona State, and then went to the South. But when you love football and THIS sport this much...
  19. If he stays healthy? Absolutely possible, especially with ILB Blitzes... Oregon Football: Now healthy, Justin Flowe set to ‘shock the world’ DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Oregon fans saw what he could do in a single game last year, and now the Ducks’ young LB has a chance to make a name for himself in 2022.

  20. Sounds like he really went over many times... Mykael Wright isn’t over the Pac-12 refs in Oregon’s loss to Stanford DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Do you remember the numerous crazy flags at the end of Stanford vs. Oregon that cost the Ducks the game? Mykael Wright does, and he isn’t over it.
  21. After six innings, the Ducks trail 6 to 4
  22. Stevie Hansen got the win over the Huskies of the east. Last game of the North Carolina tournament and the Ducks won five!
