The look on Dave's face above is one we all have at the TV so many times each game Bill does..."really?"

Oregon Receivers Surprising at NFL Combine?
Charles Fischer replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Whoa! Don't spoil the narrative with facts mind you! Very cool you pulled that up, and I would have never known--thanks! -
Remember when we heard of a claim on Facebook that Thibs and Cristobal had a scream-out fight? Thibs called MC “a fraud,” and MC countered with telling him that “he is not working very hard. That he is getting beaten by guys who will selling insurance in a few months.” Stuff like that in front of the team builds bad-blood, and a dIscreet NFL interview could be payback? This is all hearsay and speculation on my part, but that is what we do in a forum!

Not a surprise to me, as they were not deep threats at Oregon and had trouble gaining separation. The newbies in the Alamo Bowl made it look routine... How Oregon Ducks receivers Johnny Johnson III, Devon Williams performed at the NFL Combine WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM It wasn’t necessarily a surprise that the former Oregon wide outs ran two of the six slowest 40-year dash times among receivers on Thursday, at 4.60 seconds for Johnson and 4.65 for Williams

The only way they are going to the NCAA tournament is by winning the Pac-12 Tournament next week. Unfortunately, that requires consistent performance and I don't see that happening. If they get an NIT bid...should they take it? I say no. They've embarrassed themselves enough; this is not the year, so no use fighting it. AND...now do you play Bittle and Soares extensively? Last night's game....

(From Oregon Athletics Official Press Release) The University of Oregon announced today the creation of the Official NIL Marketplace of the Oregon Ducks, the first licensed school marketplace in college sports, which will support Oregon student-athletes in maximizing name, image, and likeness opportunities. Through a new relationship with Opendorse, which will power the Oregon Ducks platform, Oregon is the first school in the country to provide a single, branded marketplace containing a full directory of UO student-athletes. With this new platform, interested third parties can contact, book, pitch and pay any Oregon student-athlete for NIL activities in one compliant platform, built specifically for the student-athletes' needs. “Our new and innovative partnership with Opendorse allows University of Oregon student-athletes to continue to maximize opportunities related to their name, image, and likeness,” Oregon athletic director Rob Mullens said. “The Oregon Ducks Marketplace provides an efficient process to allow UO student-athletes to connect with those wishing to offer opportunities, benefitting them and continuing Oregon’s leadership role in all NIL-related endeavors.” Every Oregon student-athlete can choose to create their own Opendorse profile that can be customized and promoted to fans on their personal social media channels. “Today’s launch sets a new standard for student-athlete NIL support,” Opendorse CEO Blake Lawrence said. “Starting today, Oregon fans have a single place where they can directly support their favorite student-athletes with NIL opportunities. We’ve spent a decade building Opendorse to make athletes more accessible to the people who want to support them – and the Oregon NIL Marketplace accomplishes this for Oregon student-athletes.” In addition to the marketplace, Oregon receives full access to Opendorse's all-in-one NIL platform, providing best-in-class compliance, content and education tools to Duck student-athletes: Content: student-athletes are equipped with access to on-demand video and photo content through drag-and-drop media libraries, one-tap publishing technology, and real-time analytics. Education: student-athletes receive brand value assessments, live consultation sessions with industry leaders, and on-demand access to the NIL Masterclass, an education series featuring experts on brand building, monetization, and financial literacy from leading brands including Meta, Twitter, the Players’ Tribune, Overtime and more. Compliance: student-athletes can automatically disclose NIL activity details to their institution to ensure eligibility. Interested supporters can click here to view the Official NIL Marketplace of the Oregon Ducks.

ESPN Article says Miami QB Has a Chance to Win the Heisman
Charles Fischer replied to Tandaian's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I predict at the end of next season....Miami fans will be worried about him transferring... -
Outstanding post, and I look forward to diving in further with you as we get closer.

My FishDuck Friends, (I hope you don't mind me calling you that!) I am so excited about a new feature available now in the forum, and you don't have to do anything different than before! When you bring a raw link over of an article to share with everyone....now when you paste it in the Posting Box, there is an article box that will appear automatically inside the Posting Box as you see below! Recruiting: Football still trying to reel in OT, in line for 5-star QB WWW.ADDICTEDTOQUACK.COM New head coach Dan Lanning’s staff is hard at work trying to bring big talent to Eugene in the wake of changes. Other readers just click on the box and a new window comes up with the article in it! This is something I've wanted for a LONG TIME, and I am very grateful to the web developer in Sheffield, England (UK) who made it work for us. So cool! (I know...I am easily amused)

Pretty amazing, and now to see if it holds up! Whew!

One of the best lines ever concerning the purple madness, and how can you not be smiling reading that post? Thanks for making my day, Axel! -
Phil Steele's 2022 Projected AP Preseason Top 10
Charles Fischer replied to Annie's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Jon...your in-depth knowledge of so many college teams never fails to impress me. Great information! -
As all of you can imagine...I am not pleased with the news of extensive use of the Pistol by Dillingham. However the biggest problem was the predictability of the plays out of that formation, and if the new staff can mix it up enough as Coach Boles explains--then it can work. I will reserve judgment until I see it in action this fall! And I appreciate Coach Boles bringing this to us.

Huskies Can Spin Stories Like NOBODY ELSE

Jon, They were dead serious as they wrote this, and there was more written in the thread but these were the best ones. So I guess that makes them delusional, which would certainly not be surprising! -

Frankly, the Ducks are getting respect that is yet unearned. But we will take it! -
Duck 1972… I do not think Jon finds anything invalid with your opinion, he simply disagrees, and did so in a nice way.

Huskies Can Spin Stories Like NOBODY ELSE

I can tell you that they all were from different people on the Husky board, and I'm assuming that the defamation is the re-working of my nickname? I assumed it was in jest... -
Huskies Can Spin Stories Like NOBODY ELSE
Charles Fischer replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Omigosh...what an awful name..."FishDog," and I just shudder writing it. Somebody told me I needed to create one of these forums for each of the Pac-12 schools, and I would have to be on each as FishBruin, FishBear, FishCat, FishBuff, etc. When we got to Washington I said, "that's a deal-breaker." Well that, and I did not know what I was going to do with Oregon State... -
Truly...as I read that last line I was taking a sip of water and just about blew it out my nose. I enjoyed the first part as, I am Catholic too and have no interest in the 'Domers, but the last part got to me...big. After taking a big gulp, and wiping my nasal area...I admit to liking the last four words....but I shouldn't. (But I do!) There so many out there in the community like you, and I'm glad all of you found this forum. Such fun reading your posts, and that last one was a dandy.

My friends, I cannot make up the irrational behavior of the Huskies below who actually wrote such nonsense on a major Washington forum. The topic is about Justin Wilcox turning down Oregon...?? --"I have admired Justin Wilcox since he coached at the UW. I always thought he was a standup person. I admire him even more after reading the article on his turning down the Oregon head coaching job. I have never thought that Oregon's athletic department had any ethics in any of their athletic programs. Now I am even more firmly entrenched in that belief. Wilcox stood up for what he thought, and is, the right way in how to recruit and be a successful program. Oregon's win at all costs attitude is now even more exposed and should be used against them as much as possible. I know that the NCAA is toothless and cannot enforce any punishments, and it is highly unlikely that anyone would go after Oregon since they are a Nike backed program and Nike is a very important money provided to many of the NCAA programs. But bringing to light every illegal act that they do would bring immense harm to the reputation that they are trying to purchase." --"UNike is essentially the definition of a "win at all costs" school at present, there is no real question about that. Wilcox had to know it, but he saw the reality very dramatically in the specific conditions that were associated with UNike's offer to him to be the head football coach. He had to hire certain assistant coaches with known histories of payola and he had to agree to employ certain recruiting "tactics". I am pretty certain there were other conditions as well. Since Wilcox actually has ethics and integrity he turned UNike-Knight down." --"Wilcox is pretty great… For the life of me, I could not figure out all the vitriol on this board, in regards to Wilcox, during the UW coaching search…." --"One problem…. Wilcox has ethics. Go figure." These days are DAWG-GONE...

80 Plays Per Game is More Than an Offensive Goal
Charles Fischer replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
You are welcome to go to GoDucks.com, and go to football, and then look for "Archives" at the top. You can then look up game-by-game, and it would be great to hear what you come up with! -
Agreed Haywarduck, because if Scott Frost did not have the strength to pull him back from attacking the crowd, Blount may very well have ended up in jail, and not the NFL! And I do not blame Chip for feeling the way he did, because at that time did not want Blount to return to the team or even fly home on the same airplane! Over on another pay site, I was pummeled with over 50 different insults for posting that opinion a dozen years ago. Blount should count his blessings that it turned out as good as it did considering what he did, and what he wanted to do. Chip had more forgiveness in his soul at that moment than I did! I did not want to see Oregon football represented nationally by that image of Blount…
