I just got off the phone with a source who just talked to a prominent player at Oregon...and he does not know of any team meeting taking place at 4:30, and says it is fake news. Above is what everyone is going on...and the player says it is false. (Trust me...if there was a meeting--this player would know about it)

You know who you are, (if you report a bad post, we do not disclose who reported it) and you have helped make this site safe for everyone. The best part? The thousands of readers don't even see the offending posts and don't have to read the nonsense... Sometime in the future I will share a little about what goes on behind the scenes, but suffice it to say--we have five stout people working to protect you, and many more are coming on line soon. (Press Release from Oregon Athletics) SAN ANTONIO — Oregon has accepted an invitation to play in the 2021 Valero Alamo Bowl on Wednesday, December 29, at the Alamodome. The Ducks will take on Oklahoma at 6:15 p.m. PT on ESPN. The Ducks are 10-3 overall and 7-2 in conference play, earning their third straight appearance in the Pac-12 Championship Game after winning the north division. Oregon came in at No. 14 in the final College Football Playoff rankings released on Sunday, two spots ahead of No. 16 Oklahoma. Oregon – which will be designated as the away team – will make its third appearance in the Alamo Bowl, owning a 1-1 record with a 30-7 win over Texas on December 30, 2013. The Ducks and Sooners will face off for the first time since 2006.

(From Oregon Athletics Press Release) PORTLAND — Sydney Parrish scored a career-high 26 points and Sedona Prince matched her career best with 22 as the No. 18 Oregon women's basketball team ended its three-game losing streak with a 62-59 win Saturday over Portland at the Chiles Center. With the Ducks still short-handed as Nyara Sabally, Te-Hina Paopao and Endyia Rogers recover from injuries, Parrish stepped up by making 5-of-8 three-pointers and dished out five assists. Prince was 8-of-14 from the floor and grabbed eight rebounds, How It Happened: Parrish and Prince combined for Oregon's first six points as the Ducks took an early 6-2 lead, and a Parrish three-pointer followed by a layup from Ahlise Hurst made it 14-9 late in the first quarter. Prince picked up two fouls in the opening period, and didn't play in the second. That's when Parrish took over, scoring 13 of Oregon's 17 points on 5-of-5 shooting, including 3-of-3 from three-point range. The outburst from Parrish helped the Ducks lead 31-25 at halftime. "That's as good as we've had somebody play; she carried us in that first half," UO coach Kelly Graves said. "Every time they made a run, she seemed to hit a big shot at the right time. I'm really happy for her." Prince avoided more foul trouble after halftime, scoring 12 of Oregon's 17 points in the third quarter. Parrish had three assists in the period and Scherr added two, handling the ball in the absence of Paopao and Rogers through intense pressure by Portland's defense. The Ducks did turn it over five times in the period, but still led 48-41. Threes by Shannon Dufficy and Parrish helped the Ducks jump out to a 56-47 advantage early in the fourth. The Pilots closed the gap with a 5-0 run, and they had a chance to tie after scoring with 7 seconds left and regaining possession almost immediately after a UO turnover, the Ducks' sixth of the quarter and 11th of the half. But a potential game-tying three-pointer missed, and Oregon held on to win. Who Stood Out: Parrish previously had a career high of 18, which she tied by halftime Saturday. Prince bounced back from a one-rebound performance Wednesday against UC Davis by grabbing eight for the Ducks on Saturday. Maddie Scherr scored just three points, but she dished out six assists and grabbed five rebounds while committing just one turnover against the trapping pressure from the Pilots. She was on the bench after fouling out for the final 2:16, during which the Ducks turned it over three times. "I thought Maddie was huge tonight," Graves said. "Unfortunately we didn't have her for the last few minutes, and that hurt. But she did a great job against that pressure." What It Means: The Ducks won for the first time since Nov. 20, the last time either Sabally, Paopao or Rogers played. Graves said Rogers could play in two weeks when the Ducks make a trip to the Midwest, and Paopao and Sabally could return soon after. "The cavalry's coming," Graves said. "… And if we play as hard as we did tonight, we're going to be fine until then." Up Next: The Ducks host Long Beach State on Saturday, Dec. 11., at 2 p.m.

Sorry. Been tied up...he gave me three impressions, 1) the high scoring offense and tempo will remain, 2) Oregon will be tougher in the trenches, and 3) he was absolutely committed to "keeping Justin Herbert upright...no QB running between the tackles." We had just finished the 2017 season with Herbert out for half of it, and that was on everyone's mind. I NEVER would have thought we would see the offense we are seeing now coming away from that meeting.

Boy...what a hot mess Oregon has turned into! The swing in a two week span from being No. 3 in the Playoff Rankings to this? Whew!

OK...I am providing some quotes, but not the lame ones about the game. On reports of his future… “I don’t know what you mean when you say someone’s offered (a job). I haven’t talked to anybody. Let’s not create narratives. As we sit here in this press conference, Oregon is working on some stuff for me and that’s what I have right now. That’s the extent of the conversation.” On uncertainty surrounding his future… “I would say if there’s something to report, I will report it. I always have. Over the years, because certain things are put out there or not. Every year our entire staff, whether behind the scenes, whether public or not, we’ve always had different people come for our people, including myself, and how the media treats it and how they choose to posture it, I have no control. As I just mentioned, that’s the extent of it.” On if players were distracted by rumors… “I don’t know what to tell you. I can tell you this, if I had any plans, if I had a decision to make or if I had something to report I would and I wouldn’t keep it one way or the other. OK? Do I expected people to come at me? Yeah, I do. It happens every single year. Is there anything else to report besides that? There’s nothing else to report besides that. When there ever is, if there ever is, I’ll make sure to get it to you as fast as I can.” On if he would listen to another job offer… “I’m not going to get into hypotheticals. We just finished off and we played and coached very poorly and I think you understand I have a job to do. I feel like we’re going in circles with the same answers. Normally after a game I copy-and-paste the comments from Cristobal. I am not doing that tonight, and thus we will not have much news Saturday unless it is announcements about the coaches. That game was so bad on so many levels that I will not republish the nonsense coach-speak, or the meek press who will not ask tough questions. And Oregon's own "Pravda" in GoDucks.com? Nope. There are only TWO sites that dare to state the negative as they see it, and that would be John Canzano and us on this site. As long as you stay within our rules--you can write anything, unlike anywhere else. So sorry--I have heard enough, and will not repeat it here. BTW...how much of my article today turned out to be true? Love this community--love you all. We will get through this together, and frankly...we've had a LOT WORSE. A 10-win season does not suck.
