  1. Wow...I did NOT see this coming before the season!
  2. Landon is a GREAT analyst for Penn State, and is quite fair.
  3. That is what my "ex" used to say...."you are easily amused." You mean, at least one of us has a sense of humor? But she was right...I am easily amused, and I think you'll be amused with this thread.
  4. Oregon not only won the football Big-10 Championship last year, but the Ducks were the BEST overall athletic department in the conference in our FIRST YEAR. B1G Surprise: Oregon, West Coast Teams Dominate Big-10
  5. And YOU are the perfect example of how this community as much or expertise than the "experts" who write nationally. NOBODY can compete with our own "Schedule-Maven" in Jon Joseph!
  6. The Big-10 is the elite academic and sports conference, and our placing could be "relative" compared to other conferences, such as the SEC. It reminds me of when people in Alabama are scolded about how the mortality and literacy stats for their state are near the bottom of the nation. Their answer? "At least we're not Mississippi!"
  7. Oh sure, many of the national pundits/experts/writers offer good takes that make you ponder, but how many predicted Oregon to beat Penn State? Four out of five on the ESPN GameDay panel picked the 'Lions over the Ducks... In the preseason, how much did we hear about Texas (3-2), Penn State (3-2), or Clemson (2-3) being not only in the top-5, but often were Preseason 'Natty favorites? While we like to hear these guys give Oregon respect...in the end we get just as good as takes on the national situation from the good people of this forum. I recognize how hard it is to predict these things, (as our weekly prediction contest humbles us all) but those misses on purported top-5 teams is pretty massive. I have always been skeptical, but doesn't this alter your perceptions of the national media a bit more?
  8. OREGON ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4, 2025 OREGON FOOTBALL | @OregonFootball ESPN’s “College Gameday” returning to Eugene EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon football team will play at the site of ESPN’s “College GameDay” pregame show for the second straight game when the Ducks host Indiana on Oct. 11. Two weeks after the show was produced from the site of the Ducks’ double-overtime win at Penn State, “College GameDay” will make its 13th all-time appearance in Eugene when Oregon returns from its bye week and hosts the Hoosiers. The game will be televised by CBS, with kickoff scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Oregon will play in a top-10 matchup against a fellow undefeated team for the second straight game as well. After knocking off the then-No. 3 Nittany Lions on the road, the No. 2 Ducks (5-0, 2-0 Big Ten) will host the No. 8 Hoosiers (5-0, 2-0) in Autzen Stadium. It will be the eighth all-time matchup of top-10 teams in Autzen, and the first since Oregon’s win in 2024 over Ohio State — also the last appearance for “College GameDay” in Eugene. The Ducks are 20-13 all-time when playing in a game featured by “College GameDay,” including 9-3 at home. Oregon improved to 8-4 all-time on the road when “College GameDay” is on hand by beating Penn State on Sept. 27. The set for “College GameDay” will again be situated on the Memorial Quad on the University of Oregon campus. More details on the production will be announced as they become available.
  9. Damn this is brutal. Lost 27-23...so you are at the bottom of the Group-of-Six? At what point am I finally going to feel sorry for them?
  10. Thanks to Florida again! We love you GatOrlando!
  11. Florida beat Texas 29-21, and our superb OBD member, GatOrlando, has been suffering through the beginning of the season. We've all been there, and I am very happy to know how delighted he probably is. While it is not beating Florida State or Miami...beating Texas has to rank right up there! Sweet!
  12. Well...it was a great Oregon victory...for A WEEK!
  13. I am going to disagree with the BIG 10 News...we started one true freshman on defense, (Brandon Finney) and two redshirt freshmen in Iffy at corner, and Aaron Flowers at safety. On offense, we had one true freshman in Dak Moore, and that is it officially, although I would count Hill and Davison as joint starters now. (But Whittington started...) So, that is two true freshmen, and two RS freshmen. Still...pretty darn good considering the recruiting done in recent years, and what has been brought from the portal. Dak Moore
  14. Here is what The Athletic has to say about Moore... Dante Moore, Oregon Moore has been even better than anyone outside of the Ducks’ facilities could’ve imagined. He’s completing 75 percent of his passes and has a 14-to-1 TD-to-INT ratio. In the most hostile setting a young QB could face in college, against a talented Penn State defense in a White Out setting, Moore went 29 of 39 for 248 yards, three TDs and no picks. He also scrambled for 35 more yards, which was eye-opening for folks who have heard he wasn’t much of a runner. “He was smooth as hell, and no panic,” said a defensive coordinator who faced Oregon this season. “He is pretty damn poised. He can throw the hell out of the ball. He wants to look high to low. He does have a big, powerful arm. On film, he throws some unbelievable deep balls. He’s the real deal.” All the talk inside the Moore camp is that he’s in no rush to leave Oregon for the NFL. They’ve seen how the added seasoning benefitted Jayden Daniels, who flourished as a rookie last year. Moore won’t turn 21 until a month after the 2026 draft. But the NFL scouting director thinks that, because the 2026 QB class isn’t looking as strong as many expected, scouts are going to push to ramp up their evaluations of Moore, just in case there’s a temptation to leave sooner than expected because of a new opportunity. “I do think he’d benefit from more time,” said the scouting director. “We’ll see how he progresses throughout the rest of this year. Some plays, he saw the field real well. Some plays, he didn’t. He’s a smooth athlete with good arm talent. He runs well enough to extend plays, and there is something to him. He’s an awesome kid. Didn’t feel like he was full of himself. He fit with his teammates. I was encouraged by what I saw from him. I still want to see a lot more from him this year, but he’s a guy who will be at the top of the conversation with our scouts.” If he and Oregon have the year we hope--he'll be gone.
  15. It does make you wonder how big his growth would be with another year, but the NFL would see that upside too and want him all-the-Moore. If he is a 1st Round projection, then he would be best to take it, and I would not begrudge him at all.
  16. Oh Geez. Am I embarrassed for Huskies? Naw.
