  1. And who is it that requires us to have a damn game on Peacock once a year?
  2. Oh, if we had them last year....who knows how far we could have gone with Bo Nix? Burch underperformed last year and dealt with injuries, while Matayo, Tuioti and others were still just newbies learning the ropes. This year's defensive line would have been the difference to win those close games with the Huskies. Danno knew that, thus why he got them, and really helped the development of the young-guns to flourish. I've gotta think that Tosh being a former defensive lineman and D-Line coach has really helped their progress as well.
  3. No, you misunderstand, as we allow all opinions about the TOPIC. But if you are commenting about the opinions of other OBD members--that is off-limits. Let's look at what you wrote... ------------------------------------------------------ "I just don’t share the same angst with the ratings as they stand today…looks about right to me with two regular season games to go for most teams. What is the specific team(s) people think isn’t ranked properly? The bracket formula is what it is, it’s what everyone agreed to. That being said, their reactions to this weeks games could induce some angst for me, we shall see." --------------------------------------------------------- Did I misinterpret what you wrote? It looks to me like you are making a side-swipe at those who disagree with you. That is "Throwing Group-Shade," something we have covered often here and is in the rules as I dealt with it quite a bit. (See Rule No. 2, 2a, and 2b) If I read your post wrong--show me, and I'll apologize and own the mistake. But if I am right...then you made a mistake, and I politely asked you to not repeat it. EVERYBODY here that posts very often will muck-up once in a while, yours-truly included. Nobody wears a halo, and when we mess up--we own it, and then forget about it and move forward. If you made a mistake and are going to leave over that? Understood. My first responsibility is to preserve the civility we have here; if we allow others to throw shade on those who disagree--it turns into a burning dumpster within a month. Yes, what you wrote was mild. But I've learned that if left without a response--the behavior continues and gets worse. You enjoyed the peace that we have here, and you enjoyed that because everyone else was following our objectives of being "polite and respectful" to fellow OBD members. If you wish to debate/discuss it by email...I welcome it. charles@fishduck.com
  4. Hello My OBD FishDuck Forum Friends! What is your prediction of Ohio State versus Indiana? Take your shot and let's have fun with it... Let's get these predictions started, and remember I look for the differential between your predicted points with both teams from the actual points. I will use the tiebreaker information when needed, so provide all the data below! Entries without ALL the information are invalid, and predictions on other threads don't count. And please check the other posts in this thread to prevent putting up the a score that has already been predicted. We had one week where four entries were the same score! Please follow directions, as I need all that is below for tiebreakers: --the winner --the score --the amount of turnovers Ohio State creates? --the number of sacks Ohio State records on Indiana? --the number of passing yards by the Buckeyes? My prediction is: Ohio State 34-27 1 3 188
  5. 23 points and 13 rebounds for Bittle? Whew! What a confidence booster, as he knows now he can dominate inside the paint. He has really perfected an unblockable baby-hook. The Ducks have been tested and had to surge back against teams in the state, (Portland and OSU) but this experience in a hostile court will help them. Man, Brandon Angel has a smooth shot at times... Good gosh the drive to the basket by Shelstad to put us ahead by two at the end....wow what a tough shot to make!
  6. Geotech...I was creating space in some areas of your post, and the software popped in emojis. Not my intention, but the forum technology is malfunctioning at the moment. We understand your points, and appreciate the work put into creating the post. I am frustrated with the software mucking-up at this time, and apologize for giving your post some "decorations" that were unintended.
  7. In this thread above and others--the case for Georgia is pretty strong, and that is what most were suggesting. Let's not comment on the reaction of others, as everyone is free to give their thoughts because we "2) do not tell others how to think or what to write." We all offer our opinions...and that is it. Thanks.
  8. "How cool is that?" Makes me want to DANCE!
  9. I am still amazed by the stat of how Wisconsin did not make a single first down in the fourth quarter...which is when it matters most!
  10. And here it is after the block and the ball path changed....
  11. From the Video of Ducks vs. THEM gives us a different camera angle... You can see his hands bursting through...
  12. My friends, the Badger players must have been astonished to see Oregon players dancing...."WTH?"
  13. With Tuioti on the inside, and No. 55 Harmon on the outside....they started the play the opposite, but did a twist bringing TT inside and Derrick Harmon looping outside. They are getting better!
  14. Yes, Matayo had to catch it, and Caldwell had to block it. But how did the ball end up on so low a trajectory that Caldwell could block it? Let's take a look... Above you see Teitum Tuioti No. 44 closing in on the Badger QB... (Green arrow above) Look at the football above before Caldwell tips it....the football is NOT flying tip ahead, but laces leading? We all know a pass does not look like that, thus Tuioti DID tip it first, and lowered the trajectory for Caldwell to tip it. The interception doesn't happen without ALL THREE, but Teitum should get his kudos because it does NOT happen without his tip first!
  15. Indiana has a surprisingly good defensive line that could mess up the Buckeye offensive line as Nebraska did....
  16. Ohio State center Seth McLaughlin reportedly out for the season 247SPORTS.COM Ohio State center Seth McLaughlin reportedly out for the season Gut-punch.
  17. Imagine if Poncho went down and we had to go back to the walk-on? Sucks for them...
  18. Damn. Gee...I wonder why there isn't good officiating?
  19. The Press Release just sent out! (Mr. FishDuck) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ROSEMONT, Ill. — The Oregon football team has officially clinched its spot in the 2024 Discover Big Ten Championship Game, set for Saturday, Dec. 7, at 5 p.m. PT at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. Following a comprehensive evaluation of all possible scenarios over the final two weeks of regular season play across all 18 teams, the Big Ten Conference determined there are no conditions whereby the Ducks do not finish No. 1 or No. 2. A full rundown of tiebreaker scenarios from the Big Ten Conference is available here. Tickets are available now for the 2024 Big Ten Championship Game. Oregon’s bench location for the game will not be known until Sunday, Dec. 1. Until that time, fans will be able to secure their quantities within each of the assigned seating areas. Once Oregon’s bench is known, seats will be allocated in DAF priority point order, then by date of purchase order. The priority ordering deadline is Dec. 1. The No. 1 ranked Ducks (11-0, 8-0 Big Ten) are one of three undefeated teams remaining in the country, and their win at Wisconsin last week completed a stretch of eight consecutive Big Ten Conference games in eight weeks. Oregon is on a bye this weekend before closing the regular season against Washington on Saturday, Nov. 30, in Autzen Stadium. The Ducks have clinched a spot in the title game in their first year in the Big Ten, and will play in a conference championship game for the seventh time in program history.
  20. Strength of Schedule? Really? Thank you for posting this, as the real discussion begins at the end of the season. They can have a process, but do they follow it?
