Yep! Gotta pass rules to stop ANYTHING Oregon does! No more comic books in recruiting, no more private jets to offset the massive geographical advantage of the south and major metropolitan areas....and now they gotta stop the Ducks from doing this? Even though Oregon got hosed by the rules giving a touchdown to Ohio State in the first half? Damn. The Bluebloods cannot grant the "New Money" a place at the head of the table. It is not paranoid if they really ARE out to get you...

To me, it was the perfect example of what exaggerated offensive PI is...how can anyone dispute it?

Good gosh, we have Beavis fans who hate us more than they love their team, Washington fans who would trade three wins for one over Oregon and goodness knows how many USC fans are sticking pins into Duck-Dolls! Now we have hundreds of thousand Buckeye fans who detest us? Damn! How can you get so mad at a team with Donald Duck on its jersey? We have new rivalries being born in the B1G, and it will add to the entertainment over time. The thought of that many Ohio State fans furious at us?

Let me see if I got this right...if a team purposes takes a delay-of-game penalty to get a better angle for a short field goal, or takes the same penalty to get more room to pin a short punt....it is normal and ethical? If the Ohio State team rushes to run another play before the replay booth can react, and they eventually get seven ill-begotten points....that is legal and ethically OK? But if Oregon uses the rules to benefit...it is WRONG, and an ethical dilemma?

Over the years--I have become much more forgiving with intense discussions. I guarantee that some stuff was written above that I think is stupid-as-hell, but I'm sure others think the same about my views and attempts at humor at times. No sweat. We all are right about half the time, and the important thing is that we can share out opinions, no matter how off-the-wall-or-wrong they appear to others. In this thread, we had a put-down of another OBD member that fortunately was only up for 11 minutes before I caught it and deleted it. The OBD member is restrained from posting for a while. I don't have time to babysit adults, but when I do--I give them a time-out. I do not subscribe to "the coach is always right," because discussing coaching decisions is what we do on a forum. We will agree, disagree and everyone can have their view--even if others disagree with it.

Ohio State? Oh yeah...the team that hasn't beat Oregon in a decade. Ho-Hum...

I get it Duck-Brother, as I've been telling myself...."calm down Charles" umpteen times, and augmenting my blood pressure medication when read/listen to any of them. This is the way it is for the Nouveau Riche, the new money of any category in life. It will be this way in the B1G for us for probably 20-30 years, and we will be screwed in many ways between scheduling, officiating, TV Broadcasters, etc. Fine. It will be Our Beloved Ducks against the world.

Oh wow, I did not think of that. I was lamenting their terrible sized audience on the CW for their games, and you made me realize that it is a blessing! Not many saw Beavis get kicked by Nevada... By Nevada?

Just the beginning of a wonderful symbiotic relationship between the B1G and Our Beloved Ducks. We will bring them our eyeballs and more, and they will bring fans to Autzen, and higher ratings for the conference with our games now being included in the league.

In today's highly technical age, I am not bothered by him using AI for an apology. Have you seen how "educated" young men write these days? It stated the right things, and we can move forward.

I received an email announcing that Our Beloved Ducks will kickoff versus Illinois at 12:30 PM on CBS! Win B1G games, and move to the Primetime slots! Something tells me that evening slots will go to UCLA, USC, and Washington!
