  1. Know Thy Enemy. https://athlonsports.com/college-football/four-star-edge-isaiah-gibson-commits-to-usc-trojans The young man was a long-time 'commit' to Georgia and had Oregon in his final 3. Riley is trying to turn the page on D and recruiting on that side of the ball is improving. I have SC as a 2024 B1G Dark Horse contender. 5 programs in the B1G have Blue Chip Rosters: Ohio State, Penn State, Michigan, OREGON, and USC. In 2024, SC plays LSU and Notre Dame OOC but misses both OREGON and Ohio State and plays Penn State and Wisconsin in LA.
  2. The Best and Worst from Day 3 of March Madness WWW.SBNATION.COM A pair of overtime games in Pittsburgh highlighted the first day of second round action in the 2024 NCAA tournament.
  3. Creighton survives upset bid by No. 11 Oregon in 2OTs WWW.YARDBARKER.COM PITTSBURGH -- Steven Ashworth scored 21 points and ignited the game-winning, 15-point run to propel No. 3 seed Creighton to an 86-73 win over No. 11 seed Oregon in double overtime in the...
  4. Hiring Dusty May shows Michigan is serious about basketball program WWW.YARDBARKER.COM Michigan has an elite football program. Its basketball program is trying to reach that level. It's May Day in Michigan. Will Dusty May be able to step up from G5 FAU to the B1G?
  5. Hats off to the Ducks. Winners of the last Pac-12 CBB Tournament. Go Bluejays, take own the Vols.
  6. Bama plays Wisconsin in Madison this season.
  7. Couged it. And Sparty was tarred. GO Oakland!
  8. Ohio State plays Bama in 2027 and 2028 after playing Texas in 2025 and 2026.
  9. Oregon is responsible for one-twelfth of the Liabilities and entitled to no Assets. OSU and WSU are each responsible for one-twelfth of the Liabilities and 50% of the Assets. Paid over one, five, or ten years this is a hose job.
  10. Mike, what's surprising to me is that the Georgia Bulldogs are not barking. Back-to-back seasons with Georgia, as ranked by Sports Illustrated, having the 6th most difficult strength of schedule in the SEC. More difficult than the Mizzou, Tennessee, Texas, Ole Miss, Auburn, LSU, A+M, Kentucky, and Arkansas schedules. Mississippi State has the 5th hardest SOS and Vandy has the 2nd hardest. Who cares, right? But in addition to No. 6 UGA, I don't understand why No. 4 Bama, No. 3 Oklahoma, and No. 1 Florida are not raising a ruckus. If Saint Nick was still the HC at Bama, I don't think he would have passively accepted this redo of 2024. Especially would not be happy about playing Georgia back-to-back and having a more difficult path to the SEC champ games than LSU. And Oklahoma has to wonder why it is the SEC's newbie red-headed stepchild compared to Texas. In this age of Super Conferences, the intra-conference SOS will matter. IMO the B1G through 2028 has done an excellent job of balancing schedules. In 2024 the Ducks play both Michigan and Ohio State. In 2025 both of the B1G heavyweights are off Oregon's schedule. Looks to me like Greg Sankey and the SEC just threw in the scheduling towel. Sankey does nothing without thinking long-term. Again, IMO, this is designed to get more money from ESPN. In the meantime, the SEC could have set a trap for itself. Do you want to send Missouri to the playoff as a higher seed than Bama and Georgia? Why?

  12. SB Nation's above posts, have the best coverage of the Tournament that I have read. Detailed and funny takes.
  13. Gators chomped; Tigers declawed by ELI? The Best and Worst from Day 2 of March Madness WWW.SBNATION.COM Two thrilling upsets, our first overtime game, and a healthy heap of high-flying offense highlighted day two of the NCAA tournament.
  14. NCAA tournament conference breakdown: Big East, Pac-12 thriving, while Mountain West, SEC struggle WWW.SBNATION.COM Here’s how the multi-bid conferences are performing in the 2024 men’s NCAA tournament
  15. Get in on The Action! Action Network Likes the Ducks to be the top bird vs the Bluejays. https://www.actionnetwork.com/ncaab/college-basketball-odds-pick-prediction-oregon-ducks-vs-creighton-bluejays-ncaa-tournament-sa
  16. Now that 'everyone' can pay players, how's Cal doing at Kentucky? He signed another all-world recruiting class and yet again did not win the SEC tourney and did not get his Wildcats out of the first - round. Kentucky hasn't won a first-round playoff game since 2019! But, Cal's buyout is $33 Million. It's not the B1G but the SEC sure loves BIG buyouts. Right, Jimbo?
  17. Friday's NCAA men's tournament takeaways: SEC's struggles have commissioner eating his words WWW.YARDBARKER.COM The conclusion of the second day of the NCAA men's basketball tournament, much like day one, had its fair share of thrills and upset wins to set up an exciting Round of 32. OK, CU is The Buffs and not the Gators but I like seeing Greg Sankey being told to stop his tourney hanky-panky and kudos for the Pac-12 which is now with CU's play in victory over Boise State 5-0 in the Tournament.
  18. Creighton -5.5. Over/Under 146.5. That's a healthy O/U. Points are expected to be scored. Go Ducks! Pluck the Jays! Go 2-0 vs, Birds of a Different Feather and on to the Sweet 16.
  19. Good wins by A+M over Nebraska and Bama over Charleston slowed the SEC bleeding. Nebraska loses its AD to A+M and loses the game to A+M. A+M women have a game coming up against the Cornhuskers women's team. Basketball CT HQ has an interesting sense of humor including the games tomorrow between OREGON and Creighton and Texas and Tennessee. Still, 3-5 at this point for the SEC looks more like the B1G in recent years. I was happy to see Purdue get out of the first round.
  20. Boo-La Boo-La Boo-La Boo-La! And 14-seed Yale takes down 3-seed Auburn for the SEC's 2nd 14 over 3 loss. Nuck, Nuck, Nuck.
  21. Good points, on the other hand, Ole Miss plays 3 stiffs and Wake OOC. Mizzou with the easiest SOS in the SEC plays 3 stiffs and Boston College OOC. Georgia goes 10-2 and gets in ahead of 10-2 Oregon, hypothetically, I'm OK with that. But 10-2 Mizzou getting in ahead of Oregon, I'm ticked off. Is the Committee going to pay attention to SOS or continue to view a win in the SEC as a far better win than anywhere else? I'm a bit surprised that a Georgia fan is OK with Mizzou playing 4 ranked teams in the next two seasons. Ditto Bama. And for OK and UF to play the same brutal schedules back-to-back is not equitable.
  22. OBD Friends, are you as I am, rooting for B1G teams in the Tourney? Northwestern's win over 2023/24 Final 4 FAU has the B1G undefeated in the first round with Wisconsin vs. JMU, Nebraska vs. A+M, and Purdue vs. Grambling State to be played today. Based on results in recent tournaments this is a good showing by the B1G so far. I am rooting for the Cyclones to blow Wazzu back to Pullman.
  23. The Pac-2's biggest enabler. I'd like to say I can't believe the 8 departees in addition to UCLA and USC, especially after seeing the LA schools lose their seat at the conference table, would allow THIS to happen. But TIP. This is the Pac.
