TOP 2022 OUT-OF-CONFERENCE (OOC) GAMES TO LOOK FORWARD TO
I'd be OK with this game if it was played in Athens with a return game played in Eugene. Just as I was fine with a H+H with Ohio State. UGA rejected a H+H with Oregon. Plenty of Pac-12 and SEC teams have H+H series scheduled. Utah plays at Florida this season and Florida returns the favor with a game in SLC. UW just scheduled a H+H with TN. UCLA has a return game scheduled at LSU. Arizona has a H+H scheduled with Bama. CAL a H+H with Auburn. ETC. 13-0? No Pac-12 team has gone undefeated in conference since the Pac-10 went to the Pac-12. And Oregon has BYU OOC and 5 Pac-12 road games. There is a difference between courage and foolishness.

The Best Head Coach?
The best HC? See Ws vs Ls. Mario is 62-60 for a reason.

Helmet to Helmet
Having just re-watched the great NFL divisional games, helmet to helmet in CFB would have been called many the time. I get the call for spearing but simple helmet to helmet contact being called in CFB is IMO, stupid. I'm all for player safety but so many of these H to H calls in CFB are simply the result of guys playing football. It's a violent game. Award a 15 yard penalty for H to H. OK. But to kick guys out of a game and for a half into the next game for anything other than spearing?

Verdell to the NFL!
5'9" 185 lbs. 31st all time rushing at CU. There have been a lot of good running backs at CU including Heisman winner Rashad Sallom (sp?) LaMichael was not the biggest guy in the conference and did OK.
-
Verdell to the NFL!
But I think this would be a good thing for the Ducks RB room.

Georgia WR Transfers to Alabama
1-1. Lost the SEC champ game but won the title.
-
Verdell to the NFL!
That player was the Pac-12 1st team RB in 2020. Broussard is not a lightweight. He put up 831 yards rushing in 2020 playing for CU. He would be a very valuable get out of the portal.

TOP 2022 OUT-OF-CONFERENCE (OOC) GAMES TO LOOK FORWARD TO
Some great early OOC games are coming our way in 2022. September 13 - OREGON vs GEORGIA - Mercedes Benz Stadium (MBS) - Atlanta, GA Georgia is 1-4 in its last 5 games played in MBS. 3 Ls vs Bama; an L vs LSU and a win over Cincinnati in the Peach Bowl. JT Daniels authored the W over Cincy. With Stetson Bennett returning to QB Georgia, JT is in the transfer portal. This game will likely be Oregon QB Bo Nix fourth start vs Georgia; Nix is 0-3 to date. NOTRE DAME AT OHIO STATE - Columbus, Ohio Notre Dame lost its head coach, its starting QB and a number of other quality players. I expect JC Stroud to light it up in his 2nd year at QB for the Buckeyes. And with a new DC coming in from Oklahoma State, the Cowboys defeated ND in the Fiesta Bowl, I expect the Ohio State D that was not up to program standards in 2021 to improve in 2022. Expect Ohio State to be ranked no lower than No. 3 in the AP preseason poll. UTAH at FLORIDA - Gainesville, Florida Whittingham's rumored retirement did not happen. This will be his 18th year as HC in Salt Lake City. This will be Billy Napier's first season as HC of the Gators. Cam Rising will be the Utah starter from day 1. The Utes return its top RB and replace AA LB Lloyd at LB with Florida's 2nd leading tackler in 2021. Two of the 3 outstanding Utah TEs return and Utah has also signed 2 quality TEs out of the portal. I think Utah will be a very, very good team in 2022 and UF has a lot of questions at QB and elsewhere on offense. ARKANSAS at CINCINNATI - Cincinnati, Ohio Lots of excellent players have left the Cincy program including starting QB Ridder and two AA cornerbacks. Arkansas was a surprisingly good team in 2021 and returns many good players. I do not believe Cincy is close to a final 4 team in 2022. September 14 - FSU vs LSU in New Orleans, LA. This is as much a neutral site game as is Oregon playing Georgia in Atlanta. What will LSU look like under new HC Brian Kelly? Will FSU show signs of improvement? September 10 - ALABAMA at TEXAS - Austin, Texas Alabama should be a lock to be AP Poll preseason No. 1. Sark's Texas team flamed out in 2021 and was not bowl eligible. Texas, do you really want to play ball in the SEC? September 17 - BYU at OREGON - Eugene, Oregon As if playing Georgia OOC was not enough of a challenge? BYU will not be an easy out; the Cougars could be favored coming into Autzen. TENNESSEE at PITT - Pittsburgh, PA. Josh Heupel did a heck of a job in Knoxville last season. Pitt was the ACC champ. Chance to see former SC QB Slovis playing for the Panthers. PENN STATE at AUBURN - Auburn, Alabama James Franklin did beat Auburn in 2021 but never challenged for the B1G title and lost the bowl game. Yet, he scored a huge pay increase and and contract extension. It's only year 2 but Auburn HC Bryan Harsin is already on the hot seat, and he lost his starting QB to the Ducks. MIAMI at TEXAS A+M - College Station, Texas I expect A+M to roundly Gig Mario in College Station. ....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... FanDuel odds to win the 2022 Playoff. 1. Bama - +200 2. UGA - +350 3. OH ST - +550 4. Clemson - +1000 8.USC - +5000 9. Oregon - + 6000 Utah is not in the top 10. Only 4 teams have better than 30-1 odds to win the title. Looks like SSDD. Nice that Oregon plays Georgia in the regular season and Bama does not. It's a big field, 130 teams in theory, but Bama at +200 is probably worth a look-see?

Rivals Predicts Two Massive Commitments for Oregon Ducks Football
I never count a 'commitment' or a lean until they have signed. And today? They could enter the portal the day after they signed!

Does Soccer Deal With Ties Better Than Football?
ANSWER: YES! How can you end a terrific game like that on a coin toss? I covered but for everything the NFL does so well the OT rules are terrible.

PAC-20 - Offseason Beating A Deceased Horse - But My, What Could Have Been?
Pac-12 certainly had the opportunity to go east and demurred. For media purposes, the 7:30 nap game for you is a fast asleep game in eastern time. This IMO is one of the major reasons why the conference should have expanded into the central time zone and should now consider a merger with the B12. But I agree with Mike West; how many folks in charge of Pac-12 schools give a whip? SC and Oregon in particular, need to look out for themselves including taking a look at joining the B12.
-
PAC-20 - Offseason Beating A Deceased Horse - But My, What Could Have Been?
Love to have been there for the expansion discussion especially after GK said the AAU membership would not be a requirement to join GK has asked member schools to go all in on CFB and CBB. Will they? I doubt it.

Georgia WR Transfers to Alabama
Guess he prefers to play with the Heisman winning QB and not Bennett?

My Bets On Today's NFL Playoff Games
4 amazing games. Something to be said for a draft and parity. Happy to have gone 3-1 with a SU win.

PAC-20 - Offseason Beating A Deceased Horse - But My, What Could Have Been?
THE ALL AMERICAN CONFERENCE - CO-COMMISSIONERS - GK and Bob Bowlsby. PAC-12 DIVISION North - CAL, Stanford, Oregon, OR ST, UW, WA ST South - AZ, ASU, CU, UCLA, USC. Utah B1G - 12 DIVISION East - Cincinnati, Houston, Iowa ST, TCU, UCF, W VA West - Baylor, BYU, Kansas, K ST, OK ST, Texas Tech Pac-12 Network moved to Dallas, TX, saved and re-branded as The AAC Network. Pac-12 schools at least get their original investment returned. AAC Network bought whole or in part by media partner. Far better media negotiation leverage than the Pac-12, B12 on their own.

PAC-20 - Offseason Beating A Deceased Horse - But My, What Could Have Been?
Happy, a bit more on your fantastic comment. If the Pac-12 and B12 merge which makes all kinds of business sense for both. This happens I can see the B1G adding UNC, UVA, PITT, Duke, Iowa State, 5 AAU member schools and Notre Dame. And I can see the SEC adding Clemson, FSU, VA Tech, Miami, NC State and Georgia Tech. 3 Power Conferences. Far easier path to playoff expansion.
-
PAC-20 - Offseason Beating A Deceased Horse - But My, What Could Have Been?
A 24 super conference would allow for 2 12 team divisions and limit travel for CBB and the non-revenue sports. The reason we do not have the Pac-20 is due to academic snobbery and sheer stupidity. An 'exclusive club,' right?

My Bets On Today's NFL Playoff Games
I won't be disappointed if the Rams and Bills both win. But I like Tom Brady and I do not think the Bills beat KC twice this season? But a game in Buffalo next Sunday. Could be the coldest on record. I felt bad for the Packers fans who froze their tails off only to witness a walk off loss. And for the Packers D to play that well and suffer a loss. Brutal.

USC Back on Top Much Sooner Than Thought?
I think Dart is in wait and see mode? Will return to SC if Williams opts instead for LSU or Ole Miss. I think Bennett coming back to UGA takes UGA out of the running. I'm sure Riley would not pull the kid's scholly.
-
USC Back on Top Much Sooner Than Thought?
Good take. Riley did get a very good OT out of the portal from UVA.

My Bets On Today's NFL Playoff Games
Growing up in NoCal, Rodgers was a fan of the 49ers. He is now 0-4 vs the 49ers in the playoffs. Think Green Bay needs a new special teams coach? How about Deebo Samuels from USC; USC East.
