Lousy Hire
Didnt Ga lose to what many are saying is one of worst Bama teams in years???
-
Lousy Hire
This Kid from Ga is NO Lincoln Riley. hes a good D Co that recruits to GA-My grandma could do that. Its like going to Harbor Freight to buy tools--he was a deal-on sale. No matter what ANYBODY says -he is unproven. Lets see what life is like midway through next season.--GO DUCKS!!

Hope we got it right
MC recruits mostly sat on the bench if I recall-some did well though.

Grade the Dan Lanning Hire…
C No head coach experience and I think PK said he was done throwing Big $$ -told Mullens to do his thing, work within his budget.
-
Lousy Hire
The Recruiting thing is no biggie. Lanning was hired to REBUILD the team over a period of time. The Utah loss left a sour taste in PKs mouth.

Lousy Hire
Im ready to reserve judgement until mid way through next season- until then hes just some guy. Im from the same state hes from -THE SHOW ME STATE.

Lanning? A HUGE Gamble.
#1 the average fan has never heard of the fellow, #2 I wouldnt be happy with those choices. #3 its not a big name to most fans. #4 I expect that within 3 to 4 years we could have a NC quality team. But its going to take time and I will be patient.

Lanning? A HUGE Gamble.
We play Ga next year and if this guy can keep us in the game with less than a blowout -Then I will be impressed.

Lanning? A HUGE Gamble.
That all may be true but I wouldnt expect results for at least 2 years. New coaches new players new systems -growing pains. I suppose that would be true with any coach we hired though.

Canzano: "Oregon Shooting BIG, Even Into the Great Unknown"
Our players will have to learn a whole new system on both offense and defense so Im figuring next year will be pretty tough as far as wins go. Maybe in 2 or so years with some of his recruits in place we will get back to being a contender. But what happens when another team offers 9 mil? So what Im getting at is that while this maybe exciting right now for some its not really any different than if you hired a Chip Kelly type, it turns out the same. My problem isnt with Lanning its with the current system of college football. I know I should take it one day at a time. Go Ducks.

Canzano: "Oregon Shooting BIG, Even Into the Great Unknown"
Hopefully he knows a thing or 2 about offense.

Lanning? A HUGE Gamble.
Time will tell the story. His success will be measured in wins and losses. Im not happy about it but Im not unhappy about it. I learned my lesson with Taggert.
-
Lanning? A HUGE Gamble.
Only time will tell if this was a success for both him and the Ducks. He is from the Show Me State Im from the Show Me State.

Lanning? A HUGE Gamble.
Lets win some games, if he does that Im on board
-
Lanning? A HUGE Gamble.
Looks like hes the guy so we will wait and see what happens
-
Feldman and Canzano are saying the AJC article is correct and Lanning will be hired as HC
Hope for the best

Lanning? A HUGE Gamble.
Also if Im a DC I think it would be much easier to recruit for Ga than Oregon which is more known as an offense oriented program.

Lanning? A HUGE Gamble.
IMO a top 15 School like Oregon shouldnt have a problem hiring a proven head coach.
