Kick off out of bounds too. Cam needs to get rid of the yips, that kick is why you play the game. Plenty of other mistakes, but that one hurt!

Exactly, what is up with the lack of traction? -
Stanford win looks a little better. Dawgs beat Arizona by 7, Stanford loss to Arizona by 1, 8 point differential. Oregon beat Stanford by 36 so the Ducks beat the dawgs by 28. Who knows how good the dawgs really are. We will find out today, or at least a little more. My bet, they are a fraud, and will be exposed today. Actually what will be exposed is just how good the Ducks are. If we thump the dawgs in the emerald city then the Ducks are legit top 5.

High Anxiety: What Sedative Are YOU Taking for the Game?

A tough workout, if I give it my all then my Ducks can do the same. Nothing like getting a little tired to calm the nerves. A very nice martini to celebrate after the game too. -

Famous FishDuck Keys to Beating the Huskies
Haywarduck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The other unspoken key, how seriously Lanning took the loss last year, and how much he wants to win the game this year. Lanning has built this team, program so he can dominate this game. The other key is Lanning doesn't just want to win this game, he wants the dawgs to know they won't win again against a Lanning run Oregon team. I think this will be another Colorado type game, my take, because of Lanning, the guy who holds the keys to the program, thankfully. -
What Husky Fans Say About Dan Lanning...
Haywarduck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
This is the quote which speaks volumes about the dawg fanbase, "There is a word, Class. Can't buy it, can’t be given to you. If you don’t “get” it you will never have it. Some people just never get it." The dawg fanbase actually think they have class, and actually were born with it. Well class will be in session come Saturday, and they better be paying attention. It won't be given to you, the dawgs won't have it, and they won't ever get it. The status of the dawg program will be exposed to all on college game day. There will be no hiding the fact that the dawgs are the fraud, and their brand is just all bark and no bite! They have no titles, and no entitlement, and actually no class! -
Famous FishDuck Keys to Beating the Huskies

Love the Taki, Popo matchup on a freshman, almost doesn't seem fair. It should be a fun matchup to watch, thanks for pointing this one out! Seems like too often we have seen Oregon have a freshman on the field who negatively impacted a game. This matchup has all the signs of the same kind of school will be in session, and the lesson will be a hard one. This matchup could put Penix in trouble as he will have to move to stay away from the pressure up the middle. Does anyone know which direction Penix is most accurate moving to his left or right? If there is a huge difference this could be Lannings secret weapon, blitz to his strong side. I have a feeling Lanning knows exactly what the kryptonite is for this dawg offense. The difference this year is he has the players to make that weakness a huge liability. I think what Charles is doing here is getting into the head of Lanning. He has given us some of the matchups Lanning will be keying on with his defense and offense. This will be a big battle, but it is won and lost on the little battles and the advantages those give you. Great article and why Fishduck is such a treat to read, as we ponder our Ducks. -
Dawg pregame locker room talk, "If UW even brings their B game this Saturday, we beat Oregon rather easily. Oregon needs to bring their A or A+ game to Husky Stadium to stand a chance. That's why UW will win, we are too talented, too well coached, and have a crazy homefield advantage." Maybe not, but this had been their mentality too long back in the day. Just another reason I hate the dawgs. I love my dawg, but I can guarantee you it isn't a husky!

I have feeling Dan didn’t like losing to the dawgs just a little bit more than most. My bet, Dan wants to beat the dawgs more than anybody, love it!

SEC Destroys My Amazing B1G Scheduling Plan
Haywarduck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
First off great article Darren and I want to thank Natalie Liebhaber for editing too. Both of you quietly make the mornings better, and more polished. There are even more people to be grateful for, but a shout out to these two today! As far as giving Mario love then we need to give Willie some love too. Fortunately Frost’s analysis of Oregons recruiting ability was as bogus as his coaching abilities at Nebraska. As far as Oregon losing an advantage by not traveling to socal once a year, I agree, it isn’t going to be a problem. One of the reasons student athletes leave cali is they want out. Where I live they are coming in droves and they don’t want to go back, unfortunately. The big item is Dan Lanning will have our men playing against Oregon's potential every week. OBD just need to do that this weekend and all will be good there too, Go Ducks! -
Oregon Football’s Unique Culture Is Fueling Its Success
Haywarduck replied to Pennsylvania Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
You improve 1% a day, but a key is it needs to be measurable. The article talked about how the players new what they needed, but were confused as to wether they had accomplished it, pretty much sones up the Mario years. With Lanning the goals and messages are concise and measurable. Before the Colorado game there was no reaction to the talk most saw before the game, message was clear. Growth mindset and improving 1% a day are powerful tools. They have changed the program profoundly. Along with clear messaging Lanning has the team on a roll. I look forward to hearing about the messaging this week. I am sure it is cleaner than what has been communicated here, although our is loud and clear too! -
Oregon Ducks Football: 3 Keys to Beating the Huskies
Haywarduck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Agree on the pressure and sacks. I would love to see Taki on top of Penix at least once. As a senior returning to dawgland as a Duck it would be an awesome touch. The real difference maker will be Even Williams. We haven’t had a closer on the pass rush like Williams in a while. His impact will be seeing Penix’s head on a swivel. The pass rush and the tight coverage needs to be in tandem to stop Penix. An interception, a few sacks and the dawg offense will crumble like a cheap dog biscuit. I’m not too worried about our offense as long as we execute. The dawg defense won’t be able to neutralize all the weapons. In the end the dawgs will be the ones neutered. -
Can We PLEASE Bring On The Vitriol And Hate!
Haywarduck replied to SmithRiverDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Ok, the huskies are the reason we have a middle finger. Insulting the huskies is really only describing them. I actually am grateful for the huskies. I almost forgot to put the garbage out this morning, and then I remembered the huskies, grateful. -

The voters don’t get their ballots until he gets a chance to beat all three of the contenders in the PAC-12. Bring on the next pretender, I mean contender! He has lots of chances and should be in New York this year. -
The Men of Washington Should be REJECTED by the B1G
Haywarduck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The leg lifters should officially be renamed the squatters. it is actually the perfect name. squatters to most means a person who illegally occupies land. The dawgs don’t deserve to be heading to the BIG, nor have the arrogance they embrace. Of course the real reason we call the them the squatters will be between the dawgs and us. I have never been to husky stadium. Do the men’s bathrooms have urinals? -
Canzano: Oregon to Get a Rude Awakening in the B1G?
Haywarduck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I think it is a pretty easy formula to figure out. If there is more travel it will be tougher. I can’t think of any top team that wants to travel more. Look at the SEC’s schedules, they seldom travel far. To me this isn’t going to help Oregon, but adversity builds strength. We also must embrace what is in front of us. -
Game Strategy - Receive Opening Kickoff or Defer to 2nd Half?

Ducks Improve Historically in 2023
Haywarduck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I would like to add there are some very suspect programs claiming national titles before there were NCAA national titles in football We play one this coming weekend. A program which has never won an NCAA men’s title in anything! The leg lifters are really just squatters. -
Interestingly the pundits state the call by Mario to run the ball when taking a knee was the call to make was inexplicable. I'm pretty everyone on here could have called the exact running play he was going to call. The other question, how do you let a receiver get behind the defense, we know that answer too.

Do Oregon Fans ‘GET’ How Special the 2023 Team Is?
Haywarduck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Great point, and the formula with our DB's, and edge rushers is one I think we will see repeated. If we need more depth, or performance at a position, bring in talented youth and experience and let them compete. I am sure not all seasons will be like the last, or next, but Lanning knows what he wants, and that is, fortunately in line with what the Oregon Faithful expect. The big thing which hasn't been pointed out is, and fingers still crossed, we don't have big, or even small discipline problems in this program. We have brought in some potential problem players and they have embraced the culture here at Oregon. Lanning's quiet strength of character is infectious. I am sure there will be an event, actually there was one mistaken event, and he will deal with it swiftly and keep the high expectations. Most importantly he is, again, building men of character. This, along with a season to remember, is the most important thing he can do! -
Do Oregon Fans ‘GET’ How Special the 2023 Team Is?
Haywarduck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
As a Duck homer I always think the Ducks will win and be undefeated. I am grateful Fishduck allows me to have some objective depth to my feelings. I will say what is exciting is there is potential. I say that because there is still that unexplainable element which makes the truly great teams, just that. I agree with all that has been pointed out. The wholes have been filled and there is depth. The team is loaded with experience and quite a bit of NFL talent. A couple parts we don't know yet is just how savvy Lanning will be on the sideline when the game defining decision has to be made, but there is potential. We also don't know how this team will react when that last ounce of effort, and the precise execution of a play is needed, but there is potential. I suppose we could all just go to some far away surf spot and forget about watching because we know what is going to happen, nah. Lets cherish this season, and appreciate this forum with decorum where we can enjoy the outcomes, even if they defy what we all know is going to happen!
