Hate me for this, but I think there is just way too much angst here...

Now, all that said, if this team is not really good in 2022 and 2023 and beyond, there is real reason for concern.

    ^^^^^^^^ YEP!!!

Another point is the PLAYERS GOTTA PLAY.

I see a LOT of blame at most programs around the country by fans that blame the coaches, when the final responsibility falls on the player's ability to execute. I wonder how many FSU fans would take back Jimbo about now?

But I do want to see more young thoroughbreds out on the field.

put me down as the canary in the coal mine then.  I'm a cord cutter that used to pick up sling tv and the pac-12 network during the football season to watch the ducks... i haven't done either in the past 2 years.

Same here...but I haven't signed up since the Natty with OSU. I listen to Jerry Allen. 😞

Unless the QB play improves (either with AB or another QB), I think 9-3 is a good expectation.

I agree. As the Duck QB play goes, so goes the wins and losses. Ironically,  the same goes for the play of the opposing QB. The Ducks have been bailed out by poor throws by the opposing QB.

I'm mildly optimistic AB has a better game on Friday.

It's time for the colts on the RB corps to bolt out and have a breakout game. I would put Seven in the slot and get him the ball in the open field since he is SO fast.

    Pressure the QB,  PLEASE!!!

  4. MC listed a LOT of responsibilities a QB has to master. I think he was communicating that Brown is ahead of the others as far as being a complete QB without spelling out the exact areas where they all differ.

It's always going to be almost impossible to know why certain decisions are made because by answering questions in too much detail a coach might be enlightening the competition, of course. That can make being a spectator frustrating.

  5. Just thinking about why MC would stick with Brown for any other reason than Brown truly is that much better than the rest.

Prukop was benched at this time of the season. Herbert did well. He had good size.

As much as MC loves physicality,  do you think he's concerned Ty isn't physically strong enough,  yet? Putting him in as a starter prematurely, then seeing him get injured badly would be tough to live with and could affect his future. Is he an immature thoroughbred that needs more snaps, instead of being THE workhorse?

  6. Very sad. The play didn't seem very physical at first blush.

Played too many games for a medical redshirt.

    Medical Hardship Requirements

To be eligible for a medical hardship waiver, a student-athlete has to meet the following criteria:

    • The student-athlete must suffer the injury during one of their four seasons of college competition or during the senior year of high school.
    •
    • The injury must be incapacitating. That means it must be a season-ending injury.
    •
    • The injury must occur prior to the start of the second half of the season.
    •
    • The student-athlete must not have competed in more than 30% of the season or three contests, whichever is greater.
  7. I decided to compare numbers between the last two Oregon Duck Football transfers  Prukop and Brown. Prukop was replaced by Herbert at the end of the 5th game.

I'm having issues getting this to format correctly.  I attached a screenshot for easier viewing.

What strikes you most about the stats in the first 5 games for each transfer?
