6 wins and 1 loss. What's not to love?
I love the two wins. I don't love the four wins. The one loss was just aggravating.
In. other. words. my score card. has--
Great win: 1
Good win: 1
Ugly win: 4
Aggravating loss: 1

I'm very torn. I don't like thinking that the fans are booing AT the players, but I think fans have EVERY right and need to express displeasure at coaches on occasion.
I could be wrong, but I seem to recall Autzen booing a call to punt when they wanted to go for it. Or the swinging gate formation after the Nebraska debacle. (Have we seen it by the Ducks since?)
Certainly when a player shows classless display, they deserve to be booed.
At any rate, it happened. It was heard. I don't believe it needs to happen again this year.
I find it amazingly ironic, though, Herbstreit was broaching the subject when Brown threw an interception. The 2021 Ducks are stranger than fiction.
Interestingly, Oklahoma fans booed and the Sooners won the game.
So, I am torn as I don't like the booing. But I definitely can see the justification for it. But if we could vote, I would like to save any booing for only the most extreme situations. And that list is very subjective.

Coaching carousels rarely solve the problem.
My tagline: Players gotta play.

This Get Back Coach video showed up in my feed. I'm guessing due to the Google algorithm and this thread.

DeRuyter's D won't work with this offense.
I'm more apt to say fire him. The D has major issues.

ABC/ESPN never allows any wiggle room for preceding games to run long. SO maddening.

The two offenses are identical statistics wise. I think the irritating thing is inconsistency.
And that's on the players.

Here's to hoping Kayvon becomes an offensive player once or twice on Saturday.

Thank you for the breakdown, Eric. This information is my favorite here on FishDuck.com.
All the potential "spin offs" this scheme creates is exactly why the rpo and Chip's spread got me very excited about football again in 2009 after years of giving up on boring football. The 2 minute drill proved to me things could be different.
This also reminds me of one basketball play attributed to the great Barney Holland that N Eugene ran so well. It was copied for years later by other high schools because it created dozens of options. In fact if two opposing teams ran the same play, it was still a potent offensive weapon due to all the options. I see this play offering even more potential.

How much weight or allowance should fans give that fact when evaluating performance?
A lot! Kelly was in a similar situation a few years ago. I'm hoping a great culture is being fostered that will minimize young talent from entering the portal. I'm in for 2 years, as well. Go Ducks.

I saw a great interview with him a few years ago. He seems like a great guy. He's definitely responsible for keeping the sideline in line.

Chip often out coaches Chip (i.e. three bubble screens in a row).
I agree with the run threat. Charbonnet and Pinot Gris looked great against the Husky's.

I appreciate the work you put into this post.
Utah looked great in the 2nd half. By the time the Ducks get down there, I hope Oregon is playing their best ball.
Cincy's "strength" of schedule really bothers me because even if they are are that good, they aren't going to get beat up like many other teams that battle much more physical teams resulting in injuries.
Louisville and Houston were in the same boat in the past and they both fizzled out, so it's tough to be a believer.

I entered this thread specifically to comment about Camden Lewis. That was a huge 49 yarder. He's perfect in FGs and PATs this year.

Well, DJ Uiagalelei and Anthony Brown look similar to me after watching DJ against Syracuse. That's at least one common reason why both teams are struggling.

He's so fun to watch.

Can't believe the Bears didn't run Brooks one time at the end. Thankful!!

The answers my friends are blowin' in the wind. With a QB like AB, you need a nickel and dime offense...the ancestor to the West Coast Offense used by Bill Walsh due to a QBs inability to throw the long ball.
