  1. McGee should have ran to the outside.
  2. Herbstreit just made my point, questioning why KT is being dropped back into coverage. This is at least the second time, DeRuyter has chosen to do that in this game.
  3. How is he dropping his best edge rusher, KT into coverage?
  4. DeRuyter and his soft bend-don't-break-defense needs to go!
  5. Ducks special teams is krap! MC didn't properly prepare his team again.
  6. Ducks get the turnover but not capitalizing on the opportunity.
  7. DeRuyter's D won't work with this offense.
  8. It's begun! CK outcoaching MC, using tempo.
  9. It's starting on ESPN News channel.
  10. CK and every remaining coach, left on our schedule, will outcoach MC. That is a given, but it doesn't necessarily mean the Ducks can't win. However, without help from the defense, I don't see the Ducks outscoring these teams with AB. Against Fresno St., Ohio State, and Cal, Oregon's offense has been doing just enough to squeak out a win, by 7 pts. The defense will need to step up and win some of these games which includes the turnover battles. Having KT back and healthy, for the full 4 quarters, will help anchor the defense and hopefully, lead to more stripped balls, errant passes and 3 and outs. The last two weeks, the Ducks have been losing the turnover battle which earlier in the season, appeared to be their strength. If they want to win, they must find a way to win these turnover battles, especially, on the road.
  11. That could be because AB knows this is his last chance to impress the NFL scouts. Unless they are looking for a Tim Tebow type of QB, as a run first option, I don't think any of them are seriously looking at him for his arm. There are probably better candidates for running the ball though like that Ohio QB who ran for 99 yd touchdown yesterday, from end zone to end zone.
  12. Thanks for sharing this screenshot. That was driving me nuts all game. AB throwing well short of 1st down marker on 3rd and 4th down. Without freezing the frame like you did, I wasn't sure if there were any other receivers open on these downs. Your screenshot confirms that there were other options, and AB either didn't see them or wasn't looking for them. There is BIG difference between the two. I'm not sure if AB has been going through his progressions. He certainly hasn't been great and proficient at reading the defense. Also, the announcer pointed it out on one play, that AB locked eyes on his receiver which allowed the DB, to read AB's eyes and break up the pass. He may prefer and feel more confident, throwing these shorter passes. Regardless, AB's limitations are hurting the offense and impeding its growth.
  13. KT shored up that defense in the second half, relentlessly pressuring the QB to throw the ball earlier than he wanted to or take off, running the ball. That pressure on the QB was missing in the first half. KT is a game changer, and it has been an absolute pleasure, watching him play. He's forces every team to take their offensive game plan and toss it out the window. It's a shame that this is probably his final year. He's still a considered a sophomore due to COVID, but there is no reason to expect him to return and risk injury to himself and to his draft stock, as one of the projected favorites, for the overall #1 draft pick. A lot of DeRuyter's defense relies and revolves around KT. So when KT isn't playing, DeRuyter's bend-but-don't-break defense isn't as effective. The announcer for the Cal game, rightfully criticized DeRuyter, for dropping KT back into coverage. When you have a beast like KT, you unleash him and let him do what he does best, rushing the QB and let the chips fall where they may. I wouldn't bet against KT.
  14. I agree. That was a real head-scratcher, taking an unnecessary risk which could have cost the Ducks the game. These are type of unconventional, boneheaded plays that I come to expect from a MC coached team, as if they weren't enough late game drama. I don't know if it was Moorehead's call or MC's call, but either way, that was un-friggin-acceptable. When it comes to coaching in a live game, MC is an amateur at best. Quite frankly, I think most spectators could do a better job managing the game and the clock than him.
  15. Were you talking about that questionable play, where it looked like KT sacked Cal's QB, before throwing a shovel pass, to pick up 1st down? The QB's knee might have been down. MC is so aggressive when it comes to going for it on 4th down, but he's so reserved and unassertive, when it comes to questioning the spot of the ball and plays, made on the field. Everytime, I think he should challenge it, the opposing team quickly snaps the ball, removing that option.
  16. Has MC used his challenge flag once this season?
  17. Moore is being abused tonight.
  18. McKinley was guilty on the last throw.
  19. KT is the Ducks saving grace on D.
  20. Ducks outcoached as usual.
  21. Bench Brown! Can't do any worse with TT.
  22. Another throw well short of the 1st down marker? Why?????? If Dye doesn't pick up the rest of the yards with his feet, Ducks are punting the ball away.
  23. Why burn the timeout? More of MC's great game management.
  24. KT making his presence felt.
