  1. On Saturday night, Lincoln Riley confirmed his commitment to working towards making the Oklahoma football program “Better!” “All of us are trying to make this place better, make this program better, and so you don't do that without working together and conversing with each other. So of course we're gonna continue to do that. We work well together, and we're going to keep working well together." On Sunday, Lincoln Riley provided his solution to how he intends to “Work together” to make Oklahoma “Better!”.....

  3. Cristobal will receive $4.75 annually in his new contract extension. Give him the same as Tucker's $9.5 million annual contract at Mich. St.
  4. I think he'll stay for the rest of the season. But once there were rumblings in Miami weeks ago, I posted that my gut said he was going back home, and now that Florida has opened up also, I am afraid he's gone.
  5. These guys express my feelings better than I could. I'm really tired of the "Mario Cristobal can't coach".
  6. IMHO if we lose MC we are going to be in a world of hurt, and most Greybeards know why.
  7. I have lived a gypsy life: earning credits at 5 different schools in 3 countries before completing my B.S. at the amazing University of Oregon in my senior year. So, it really means a lot to me to be a Duck fanatic these past 40 years. Today's angst can always find perspective. Living in Texas now, I get compliments on my Oregon bumper stickers, house flags, Duck apparel. And comments here in the parts that are Longhorn Nation talking about how poorly Oregon performed last night, usually end with this: “Yeah, but at least the Ducks aren’t Texas!” A Longhorn friend of mine is living a much more painful nightmare right now. While this is a really tough Sunday for me, I am thankful I am able to learn from, participate, and share with this incredible FishDuck community. It’s the best healing therapy I could get. He won’t like this but, buried way down in the “About” section of this Website, is a quiet notice about how we all can help support this Cat-Gif crazed dude who provides this much needed therapy.
  8. SLCDucks have your son watch AB here: https://247sports.com/college/oregon/Article/Anthony-Brown-Oregon-Ducks-Ducks-Football-Utah-loss-175889717/

  10. I admit I am not very good at stats. But IMHO I believe this year is somewhat an outlier in the passing game for our wide receiver stats, and I also believe it’s because MC committed to AB this year with a ground and pound strategy. Our young receivers and upcoming stud QB’s have an awesome future ahead of them, and I think we will see that evolve. In looking over all the passing stats for Oregon back through 2009, I don’t see an earth-shattering contrast in our historical passing attack numbers to necessarily warrant painting MC’s ground and pound this year as being something he is blindingly philosophically “locked into” for eternity. With what the coaches observed, and determined on QB status coming into this year, it could be they felt that, as Jimmy Durante used to say: “It’s da conditions dat prevail”! And with what they saw, and decided early, it appeared that AB’s skills gave us the best chance to win this year. Interestingly, when we look at the passing stats from our incredible 2011 year, we are actually throwing a tad more passes per game this year than we did back then. OK, while we are nationally ranked at a piddling 109th this year, but in 2011, we weren’t blowing up the world either ranked at 73rd. And more interestingly, the historic overall average of pass attempts per game is almost the same every year since 2009, around 33 to 28 per game. http://www.cfbstats.com/ I seem to recall, in the foggy reaches of my weak mind, how excited and proud I have been throughout so many years of watching OBD what an awesome running game we have had, and all those legendary running backs we’ve marveled at. Even now, it’s something to Dye for in my mind. OK, yes, we do cringe at the lack of the long ball this year, and our concerns for our wide receivers. (It drives me literally apoplectic, and I become profanely nastier than I usually am). But AB and MC have this team in the hunt, so I am very proud of what they have produced for us this year. With who's in the wings, I believe that we are going see a completely different offense next year. But then again. If not,.....I’m going to.....
  11. .....So, yeah, but all this means is that he gets to be... and I get to be.....
  12. "And if practice makes perfect, guess who will have a hell of a lot more practice at winning those kinds of games." Finally! NOW I understand exactly what a masterminded, sneaky-good, all-makes-sense now strategically perfect nail-biting game after game ultimate hidden purpose reasoning that has been causing all this stress I've suffered! Darren you are genius, and thanks to you I am at peace now. We got it in the bag!
  13. We appear pretty even in stats across the board with Utah. Except for a not so secret weapon..... http://www.cfbstats.com/
  14. I agree. And I like how MC acknowledged this particular play last night.
  15. Sept 25 November 13 MC Presser "I have got to mention Kris Hutson, because Kris Hutson’s tackle on the fumble, or what they called a fumble. I don’t have a good TV angle, maybe you guys saw it better than I did, but that thing was getting returned. But, Kris Hutson getting that defender on the ground and making them settle for three, when that really could have turned the game around the other way. That could have been a huge momentum swing. Credit to him for doing that."
  16. Sure it's going to be harder for us in an "away" game. But that, umm, "dominant" 9-point win over Arizona makes me wonder who we really are playing next week.
