  1. Too bad Chip wasn't available, it would have been soooo ironic if he ended up where he was accused of endangering the players with his O.
  2. I wonder how many coaches will turn down this job before they find someone. 1) Live in LA 2) Bad roster 3) Live in LA 4) Joining the BIG 5) Live in LA 6) Lack of institutional support and NIL 7) And did I mention, live in LA
  3. Works for me. I remember when he was returning to the college game and most people were hoping that he would not return to the Pac 12 and take the Florida (?) job instead. Well, that worked out pretty well for us, so I'm hoping Kelly 3.0 is the same as 2.0.
  4. Wow, talk about word garbage. At least the first few minutes as I will never get that time back. As for the last few minutes, I can't comment since I have those minutes still in my life span.
  5. From a Buckeye site . . . "When factoring in transfers, the Buckeyes have the No. 3 recruiting class in the country and the second-highest average player ranking behind only Georgia. Oregon is the only other Big Ten team (yep, that’s going to take some getting used to) in the top 10 at No. 4. Penn State is No. 14, Michigan is No. 18, and USC is No. 20. Nebraska and Wisconsin come in at Nos. 23 and 24 respectively. Love that, plus compare our DLine haul to theirs: Assuming that Kirks does sign with OSU today, he will be the 21st scholarship player in OSU’s class and the ninth in the top 200 of 247’s Composite Rankings. He would join five-star Eddrick Houston and three-star Eric Mensah as the only defensive lineman in the class (Houston is an EDGE rusher, while Mensah and Kirks will play inside), but given that Jack Sawyer, J.T. Tuimoloau, and Tyleik Williams all opted to return, the lack of defensive line reinforcements isn’t as big of an issue this cycle — but it absolutely will be in 2025.
  6. Thanks for the article, David. I like the thought of the other conferences laughing at the Pac demise and now having to suffer the unintended consequences of their cannibalism. I think we all would love to see former Pac 12 teams claim the B1G and Big 12 this fall.
  7. Steps 1 & 2 cleared. Petition to unionize signed in September, NLRB ruled they are employees of the school. Labor board regional official clears way for Dartmouth hoops union - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM A National Labor Relations Board regional official has decided that Dartmouth basketball players are employees of the school... Unintended consequences to follow?
  8. '24, which I don't think makes sence since he will not be on scholarship until '26. And moves the 24 class to #3 in the 24/7 rankings.
  9. This is the minor bowl games 2.0 with all the opt-outs. I guess you use the system to show off in practice and then sit if you think you did enough. Maybe the sponsors should offer $ per play you are on the field.
  10. Evan Williams following in brother footsteps? Let's hope the game turns into another recruiting win. Go Ducks (not former, these are the once a Duck always a Duck type).
  11. Pretty cool/nice. Jackson Shelstad gifts custom jackets to Oregon legends with NIL deal DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Oregon Ducks true freshman point guard Jackson Shelstad gifted custom jackets to Payton Pritchard and Sabrina Ionescu through an NIL deal.
  12. What about when a salary cap is instituted? Every pro sports league seems to have one, so the have-nots will be pursuing it sooner rahter than later.
  13. Thanks, but unlike Taylor, I can choose to not watch vs unwatch.
  14. Great beginning "Deion Sanders’ mouth is already writing checks his team can’t cash" and then ending to article "So buckle up and get ready for another season in which Colorado will be the biggest story in college football that everyone will forget about a few weeks later." Six months from the season and Deion Sanders’ mouth is already writing checks his team can’t cash DEADSPIN.COM Colorado was pathetic after September, but Coach Prime is already making College Football Playoff predictions
  15. Sewell's reaction after the game. Detroit's almost magical season no longer means . . . MSN WWW.MSN.COM
  16. Yes, football is KING. I usually DVR the games and start watching when I think I can get to the end without watching in real time. I DVR BBall also but find myself the last couple of years peaking at the live score on ESPN. If it is a win or a closely contested game, I will then watch it. If we are blown out . . . life is too short for those games after 50+ years of watching that sort of thing. I follow track as much as possible as I am from the Prefontaine years. GoDucks.com is my source for the "other" sports.
  17. Thanks David. The history of "jump around" is a fun read/listen. ESPN did a story on it. jump+around+wisconsin - Search Videos WWW.BING.COM
  18. To quote that fine philosopher Porky Pig "That's all Folks"
  19. A. I don't think it is smoldering. B. That leaf pile is located in a dumpster.
  20. Bad news, Mookie Cook out having re-injured his foot/ankle. Nate Bittle is trending for a return from injury, Mookie Cook out with injury 247SPORTS.COM Oregon could get one of its starters back from injury this week, but lost another rotation player to another injury.
