  1. College football transfer portal grades: Texas, FSU get 'A+' but LSU finishes with 'C+' after window closes - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM Handing out letter grades for a few of college football's marquee programs
  2. I visited "Freedom Hall" in '07. At that time at least 44 scholarships (two deep) were perpetually endowed for life through donors. Maybe they will give Linda Ronstadt an honorary degree for her song Poor Poor Pitiful Me.
  3. Wait till he finds out the Germans did not attack Pearl Harbor!
  4. I think NIL has put a majority of teams on tilt. I do like the fact that it keeps them in schools (plural) longer. Plus, they will come out of their college careers with a better understanding of US geography having lived in so many college towns.
  5. The NCAA quietly made a major change to the transfer portal WWW.ASEAOFBLUE.COM No more grad transfers popping up whenever they want.
  6. 5-star freshman Cormani McClain takes big shot at Deion Sanders LARRYBROWNSPORTS.COM Cormani McClain did not have the type of freshman season he was hoping for at Colorado, and it sounds like the talented young cornerback feels that was in
  7. Oregon women’s basketball coach Kelly Graves puts Eugene home up for sale WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM Graves' 3,800-square-foot home in the University neighborhood is listed at $1,375,000.
  8. No. 1: The second suit vs a university for unfair labor practices. Notre Dame Athletes Cast as Employees in New NLRB Complaint SPORTS.YAHOO.COM The University of Notre Dame Thursday was charged with violating section 8 of the National Labor Relations Act by allegedly misclassifying its athletes as “student-athletes” when they are... No 2: Corporations now aligning with colleges for NIL pledges. FedEx pledges $25 million over 5 years in NIL program for University of Memphis athletes APNEWS.COM FedEx has pledged $25 million over the next five years to be used in sponsorship deals with University of Memphis athletes. It will be interesting if any shareholder suits will follow, especially from alum of rival schools. Or, will the rivals flock to use UPS from now on?
  9. I would hope that his desire and ambition are still there, otherwise he needs to show himself the door. I think he is slow in changing his ways in that he will probably never see another holy trinity as he did with Sabrina, Ruthy and Satou. Plus, the supporting cast that seemed to be truly supporting. Hopefully he can turn it around, otherwise Mullens' tough choice will be the replacement, not replacing.
  10. Hopefully a new weather phenomenon will occur, it will be raining their tears in Autzen. Works for me even though I am not a ticket holder. I like the fact that fans can reap a benefit from their coersed donations.
  11. Who can blame him for turning down such an insulting offer when the PIG2 just stole 200 Mil from 10 other schools!
  12. How about "Dante lite" = Oumar Ballo from AZ: 7-feet and 260 pounds makes him a difficult player for opponents to manage. He averaged 12.9 points and 10.1 rebounds in 2023-24 for Arizona on 65.8% shooting. There isn't much versatility to his game, and Ballo's free-throw shooting dipped to a career-worst 49.5% this past season. But he's a productive bruiser with a proven track record at an elite program.
  13. Probably not going to happen: Sources told ESPN that Avila is a strong favorite to follow former ISU coach Josh Schertz to Saint Louis, where Schertz was hired in the wake of ISU's regular-season Missouri Valley title and a run to the NIT Finals. Avila's portal entry is marked by a red exclamation point, which means not to reach out to him, a sign that he's already made up his mind on his destination. But no harm in wishing.
  14. I like his size 6'2" 190, and hopefully he has room to grow. Per Erik Skopil at 24/7 he may have to adjust his game some as he has a tendency to reverse field a lot after the catch against high school athletes.
  15. Wow, that divorce did wonders for your head shot.
  16. It's nice to see recognition from a 3rd party source. 4 snubs from 2024 NCAA All-Tournament team CLUTCHPOINTS.COM UConn had a phenomenal national championship run, but the Huskies did not deserve four players on the NCAA All-Tournament team.
  17. Sources - John Calipari finalizing 5-year deal with Arkansas - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM John Calipari is finalizing a five-year deal to become the next men's basketball coach at Arkansas, sources told ESPN on Sunday night. I remember when Altman took that job for about 15 minutes. (for some reason can't "check post")
  18. 27th seems about right. Once a team in front gets chosen, they probably want no part of the Ducks!
  19. Good article Mike. Personally, I was an Artesian fan after "I seen 'em".
  20. I will be happy to write the “Egg on My Face” piece about how wrong I was." Hey Don, ain't gonna happen.
  21. Sabrina has a covid year left. NIL wise she might make more than in the WNBA. Maybe JJ can check on Ruthy and both Satou sisters eligibility.
  22. To paraphrase and double quote Kevin Leary "those cockroaches are dead to me".
