A lot of the rumblings that I hear/read pertain to the fact that people "feel" Ohio State should be better. They have elite talent at multiple positions and the "feeling" is that should translate to a better product on the field. Elite talent is important, but injuries and playing together to gel are critical component (see OBD's first couple games). While the national pundits and Ohio State slobber-ers were heaping praise on the team at the beginning of the year, tOSU had not played anyone. Oregon happens and now I think there is some doubt that has crept into that locker room. This last week they played to the level of the competition. OBD has been rising above their competition and you are beginning to see the cracks in the walls in Columbus as they realize maybe, just maybe their poo stinks.

The national media really tried to give Illinois some legitimacy after they beat Michigan. Michigan is NOT Oregon. I think Illinois and the rest of the country is seeing the huge gap of talent right now!

I am beginning to think that Ohio State played the best game they are capable of against the Ducks and they haven't recovered from that loss. They haven't been great in the 1st halves of games against other B1G teams. Now, it's bleeding over into the 2nd half.

Clearly, we all have the Oregon/Illinois game as the number one game that we will be watching/listening too. Is there another game where a specific outcome has your interest piqued? From a purely spiteful place, I would LOVE to see FSU come alive for once this year and beat Miami. Miami's luck/ref help has to run out at some point! Why not in a big rivalry game that they are expected to dominate! Spite aside, for me the Missouri/Alabama game is interesting because I want to see if the train continues off the rails for KD. Come to think of it, that is pretty spiteful also. I may have a problem!
