  1. Money aside, he probably figures he'll have better chances of winning the "big one" with Kiffen at LSU.
  2. When then the 'slogan' defines the reality you might want to pay attention.
  3. To quote Cignetti, "We play to win. Other teams play to 'not lose'" This could not be a better explanation of ODB in recent years. Mario figured it out at Miami and damn near won with his Mari-go offense and Mari-no defense. I'm highly skeptical of Lanning's coordinator hires. Where is the 'change' going to come from? I'm not seeing it.
  4. My position is that for the Ducks to get to the next level somebody's standards will have to change. Not that "my standards" matter, they don't. If the coaches think we're good, and the majority of the fans think we're good, then who am I to impose some unrealistic standard or expectation. We generally hit want we aim for, so as long as you're happy with what you're seeing then good for you. Go Ducks
  5. Where did I say "blowout"? What I'd like to see is some consistency, something to actually build off. I love CFB, especially seeing teams execute. Just hoping that some day I'll be able to see my Ducks do it. Lower my standards? You get what you ask for...
  6. I posted very little, if at all this season. The reason was what I was seeing on the field, and it wasn't that great. As in, if you don't have anything good to say then maybe don't say anything. Sure, Dante throws some beauts, and we definitely have tons of talent. The problem for me was that the wins were never very convincing, not at all. There are a lot of mechanics in football, a great team operates like a well-oiled machine. Our guys looked like car made from Ferrari parts but assembled in the Yugo factory, and when things got serious it was all too apparent.
  7. Not a chance. At least Miami will have more than 1,500 fans in attendance, not that it will help...
  8. Judging by how many OR fans were in attendance I'm wondering how many fans we even have...
  9. Just saw Clark in a cameo on Apple tv's Stick last night. Damage control?
  10. The game crew, the remote crew, maybe the double-secret-remote crew? As long as they got away with it (and they got away with it) who cares, right?
  11. None of this matters as the catcher didn't have the ball. This was obstruction and it was an inexcusable call.
  12. So much for the "legitimacy" of college baseball... It doesn't matter if we would have won or not based on that call. What matters is that the officiating crew violated the spirit of the game, the spirit of sportsmanship, if not the rules themselves. Can anyone explain what the runner was supposed to do? The catcher didn't have the ball AND was blocking the plate. Not only was he blocking the plate but as the runner approached the plate the catcher dropped his shin/lower leg to block any attempt at a slide. This call was an absolute outrage. The game should be replayed. The crew should be terminated with cause.
  13. Crow for lunch today? Stay posted.
  14. "This One is Going to be Tough" Not for Wisconsin...
