  1. Not a fan of PF but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if AZ schools and Utah bolt to b12.

Guess we will have to see if there are other things to consider along with the streaming proposal. Im sure it's the eventual trend and it's cool to be on the leading edge but it still several years away for it to become a standard media feature for your typical college football nut. Also, teams will be challenged more so with recruiting.

I hope it works out for the Pac staying together!

  2. The realities of the decision also emerged on campus Tuesday, as Arizona coach Jedd Fisch addressed local media about the start of training camp and took multiple questions on realignment. Fisch told local reporters that he videoconferenced with the families of his players to assure them that clarity on the future would emerge soon. He said a guiding force in the process would be "stability wherever we land."

Think of the recruits and their families, the questions & uncertainties they may have. Think Dan is video conferencing with his players families?

I am a dinosaur lol   All for Apple!!

We, in my opinion, are entering a new paradigm.

Linear tv will be a thing of the past sooner or later.

Let our Ducks always be in the front not the rear of innovation and change.

Can't wait for season to start and we certainly do not need Colorado or AZ.

SMU and SD ST are preferable to me than either of them.

Wet would lose two TV viewership markets CO & AZ

    Ok guys,

I am going to rain on this, but not on purpose.  And I actually hope some negative emojis come of it.  It's nothing personal, and this group does not intend to be disrespectful by any means.

My concern is with Cal, Stanford (when they have a horrible record), WSU and Oregon State.

That group gets no love nationally until they are thick in the hunt for a conference title (again Stanford is an exception in that case).

I'd like an opinion from our Georgia friends on that because SEC fans are FOOTBALL fans. Football is almost akin to life in the South.  Who roots for little brother Beaver in the South?

OBD are certainly going to be fine.  But what TV exec is looking out for Oregon State?  We're talking about a decent football team here.  How many fans in Kentucky care about the Beavers?  How many are going to switch channels ( stream on their phone) when the Beavers play Utah next year?

My thinking is along those lines because it's not Oregon, UW and Utah that are driving the bus when it comes to evaluating our conference.  Pretty good Oregon State is though.

I truly believe the reason we've had issues for nearly ten years  getting a reasonable deal is because we don't draw enough MARGINAL interest from our "vanilla" teams.

Whereas, Rutgers is going to get decent numbers simply because Midwest folks watch football and we (West Coast viewers) don't.

It's a cruel numbers game.  Why do you think it's taking so long to get an "acceptable" deal?  I believe it's the combo of too much to do on an average Saturday out West, horrible attendance and viewership on the West Coast, EAST COAST BIAS, and too few brands like Oregon that the South, Midwest and Atlantic Coast follow.

Unfortunately, it's the perfect storm going against us.  I believe that is always the discussion when it comes to our conference.

Again, I'm not trying to be too negative here.  I'm just looking at it objectively given this has been going on since 2014.

I agree that the west coast isn't nearly as college football nuts as the mid west and south, there is to much going on with many options. The trend out west has been happening for a while.

Even hs football out west has been on a decline in terms of participants turning out.

  5. Dont crucify me and Im a Pac guy through and through early 60's forward, however, if the conference is going disband Id rather all thats left including OSU & WSU joining the B12 versus, a few of us to the ACC and/or Big10.

With the exit of TX & OK to SEC a super conference made up from B12&P12 makes a lot of since. Have 2 or 3 divisions.

They seem to have pro business/active leadership and to me thats huge, and football in their region is huge. Yep a little humber pie would taste terrible but the vitality of a blended conference would be nice.

  6. George really blew it with his Media day speech. He should have been upfront with can't divulge anything today rather than cryptic on purpose crap.

Losing Colorado is no big deal and the Pac will survive, probably at 1o teams. Then after the new deal expires, who knows?

SDS is a much better fit for the Pac anyway.

  7. Thought George did a good job and appreciate him mentioning the benefit of taking the high road. However, his comment about on purpose not making an announcement, but rather focus on players and coaches, seemed to invite conjecture and predictions?

Did he just stumble on this? would have been best just to be direct about no comments about any of that?

If we analyze Bo's throws, he too looked pretty inept most of the day.

Many throws too long, wounded ducks, or low and away.

Spring games, with teams divided for equality, are pretty difficult to get a true feel for.

Add in a new offense, I'm not going to give up on TT just yet.

IMO, he needs game time action to build his confidence.

I also recall there was much lamenting about Bo preseason last year, so I'm gonna wait and see with TT.

agree, I didn't think Bo look all that much better. I thing TT has a better long ball and would have hit Franklin on the line Bo over shot.

  9. I would expect the QB depth situation to be resolved before the start of the season.

Wouldn't surprise me to see a legit starting caliber qb transfer to get a shot at replacing BO after next season. TT could still be in contention once he gains confidence. I would play him for the first half against PSU and see what he can or can't accomplish.

I dont want BO playing much at all against the Viks.
