  1. With the series tied at one game apiece, the rubber match will be Sunday, with the first pitch slated for noon, Watch on Oregon Live Stream, listen on Oregon Sports Network, or if you can make at PK Park. GO DUCKS!
  2. Stone Churby comes on in relief of Matt Dallas in the top of the 9th inning. Josiah Cromwick replaces Tyler Ganus at catcher. Churby entices two ground outs and ends the top half of the 9th with a strike out. 0 Runs, 0 Hits, 0 Errors, 0 LOB Colby Shade strikes out in the bottom of the 9th for our Ducks. Brennan Milone grounds out to third base. Another throwing error allows Jacob Walsh to take second base on a grounder to the third baseman. Josh Kasevich ends the game with a grounder to second base. 0 Runs, 0 Hits, 1 Errors, 1 LOB USC takes game two of the series by a 6-5 score.
  3. A leadoff walk and a bunt single down the third base line starts the 8th inning. After a bunt attempt pop out that Jacob Walsh made a nice diving catch near the mound, Dallas walks the next batter to load the bases. Dallas gets the next out on a bunt attempt that he scoops with his glove to Jack Scanlon at the plate. The next batter is hit by a pitch to score the sixth run of the game for USC. Finally a pop out to shortstop stops the bleeding with the bases loaded on a 3-2 count. 1 Runs, 1 Hits, 0 Errors, 3 LOB In the bottom of the 8th Sam Novitske reaches first on a ground ball to shortstop that is thrown wide of first base. Sam was initially called out, but an umpire confab reverses the call and parks him at first. Tyler Ganus hit a ball to the shortstop and Novitske is out at second on a fielders choice. Pitching change for the Trojans. Ganus steals second base to put him in scoring position. Gavin Grant strikes out swinging for out number two. Tanner Smith also strikes out to end the inning. 0 Runs, 0 Hits, 1 Errors, 1 LOB USC 6 – Oregon 5
  4. Rio Britton on in relief of Ayon to face USC in the 7th inning. After two outs Matt Dallas comes on to pitch for Oregon and he strikes out the batter. No No’s for SC in the 7th. 0 Runs, 0 Hits, 0 Errors, 0 LOB. Jacob Walsh with a towering popup to third base starts out the inning for our Ducks. Josh Kasevich popped up to first base. Anthony Hall looks at a called third strike to end the 7th inning. 0 Runs, 0 Hits, 0 Errors, 0 LOB Oregon 5 – USC 5
  5. Leadoff batter for USC hit a home run to right field. A pair of two singles and a walk load the bases for USC. Isaac Ayon plunks the next batter to score a second run in the inning. Ayon gets the next batter to ground out to shortstop to limit the damage, but USC takes the lead 5-4. 2 Runs, 3 Hits, 0 Errors, 3 LOB Sam Novitske starts the inning with a worm burner up the middle for a single. Jack Scanlon singled to center moving Novitske to second base. Ducks with two runners on base and no outs. USC with a pitching change to face Gavin Grant. Grant flied out to left field. Tanner Smith flied out to deep center moving Novitske to third base. Colby Shade hit a long double ball that hits the bottom of the wall in center left. scoring Novitske and moving Scanlon to third base. Brennan Milone grounded out to short, and that ends the 6th inning. 1 Runs, 3 Hits, 0 Errors, 2 LOB Tied at 5-5
  6. USC strands a runner at second in the 5th inning. 0 Runs, 1 Hits, 0 Errors, 1 LOB for the Trojans. Brennan Milone grounded out to shortstop to start the bottom of the 5th for Oregon. Jacob Walsh doubled to right center. Josh Kasevich grounded out to third base. Anthony Hall grounded out to shortstop and that ends the 5th inning. 0 Runs, 1 Hits, 0 Errors, 1 LOB for the Ducks.   7. With one out USC strings together a single, double, and a flyout to right field to score the tying run. USC’s next batter parks a homerun over the left field fence to score two more runs and give them a 3-1 lead in the top of the 4th inning. Josh Kasevich fouled out to left field to start the bottom of the 4th inning. Anthony Hall hit a ball to the shortstop that he throws wild to first base allowing Hall to remain at first. Sam Novistke singled up the middle to put runners at second and first. Jack Scanlon hit a homerun to right field. Gavin Grant singled to short and advanced to second on a balk. Tanner Smith lined out to the second baseman. Colby Shade flied out to center to end the 4th inning. Oregon 4-3 after four innings

  9. An Anthony Hall lead off homerun to center field in the bottom of the 2nd gives Oregon a 1 run lead.
  10. Who would you choose to coach a game? Kelvin Sampson or Tommy Lloyd? I would take Sampson every time.

  13. Everyone knows that the media are biased. That is one of the reasons RPI came about. To try and remove bias by using statistics. The rating percentage index, commonly known as the RPI, is a quantity used to rank sports teams based upon a team's wins and losses and its strength of schedule. Of course statistics can be biased in the selection of which stats are used, and what weights are assigned to the data. Neverless, Our Beloved Ducks Baseball Team after beating Gonzaga yesterday in Spokane is now ranked #7 in the nation in RPI by D1 Baseball. Anthony Hall flied out to center field. Jack Scanlon popped out to short stop to end the inning, but Oregon adds a run. Kolby Somers comes on to try and close out the game for Oregon. Kolby yields a leadoff single to left field. The next batter hits a single to center field with the runner advancing to second base. The third batter singles to center field. Bases loaded with nobody out. A liner to short stop results in the first out with the runners not able to advance. Somers entices a DOUBLE PLAY(pitcher to catcher to first base) FOR THE OREGON WIN!   15. In the top of the 8th inning Ducks Gavin Grant grounds out to first base, Tanner Smith looks at a called third strike for out #2. Colby Shade with a single to center field. Brennan Milone flies out to right field for the third out. In the bottom of the 8th inning Gonzaga’s first batter pops up to second base. Dallas strikes out the next batter. Gonzaga ends their half of the inning on a ground out to the third baseman. Oregon 8 – Gonzaga 5
  16. In the top of the 7th Josh Kasevich lined out to second base. Anthony Hall doubled to right field, Josiah Cromwick singled to right field with Hall moving to third base. Tyler Ganus pitch ran for Cromwick and is thrown out trying to steal second. Sam Novitske grounds out to shortstop to strand Hall at third base. After a fly out to left field, Cade McGee hit a home run off Rio Britton. Rio walks the next batter who promptly advances to second base on a wild pitch. A ground out to second base advances the runner to third base. A wild pitch by Britton scores the runner from third base. Waz has seen enough and calls for Matt Dallas in relief of Britton. Dallas strikes out the next batter to limit the damage to two runs for Gonzaga. Oregon 8 – Gonzaga 5 going to the 8th inning.
  17. Brennan Milone with a one out single, Jacob Walsh hit into a double play to end the top half of the 6th inning for our Ducks. A leadoff single for Gonzaga is erased by a double play. Next batter flies out to left field to end the 6th inning. 8-3 Oregon.

  19. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but you are playing behind N'Faley, Franck, Nate, and most likely incoming Kel'el Ware. I would transfer out to where I would have the opportunity of more playing time IMHO.
  20. This year at Ohio State averaged 18.6 points, shot 48% from the field, 46.7% from long range while averaging 34.1 minutes over 30 games. Last year at Oregon she averaged half the points(9.3), 40.4% on field goals, 33.3% from beyond the arc on 24.9 minutes per game covering 24 games. Would she have been as productive at Oregon this year if she hadn't transferred?
