2023 NFL Combine: Odds to run fastest 40-yard dash The NFL combine provides a ton of information on players wanting to take a step to the next level. There is an opportunity to improve your draft stock in a huge way throughout the week. Whether it’s on or off the field, teams will be watching every move of every player. One of the best ways to raise eyebrows is through the 40-yard dash. This event is most likely the most entertaining for the fans back home as well. Some blazing times have been produced in the past and even when they aren’t, watching the lineman get a good sprint in provides value. Of the group, Gonzales will be the first to run. Defensive backs are scheduled for Friday in Indianapolis, followed by wide receivers on Saturday. Running backs will close out the event on Sunday and Achane will have the chance to prove as to why he is the favorite. Of the names mentioned, Gonzales is projected to be the first guy off the board when teams are making selections in April. 2023 NFL Combine: Odds to run fastest 40-yard dash - On3 WWW.ON3.COM Odds have been released on who will run the fastest 40-yard dash at the 2023 NFL Combine this upcoming week. -

Four-game series vs. San Diego starts Thursday - University of Oregon Athletics GODUCKS.COM The Ducks and Toreros will play single games Thursday through Sunday Oregon baseball ‘hungry’ to regroup after being swept by UCSB After the season’s first series, Oregon was 4-0, riding high off a sweep of Xavier. Three games later, it’s back to the drawing board after the Ducks fell on the wrong side of a sweep to UC Santa Barbara. It was a weekend where they were outscored 20-3, scratching across just one run in Saturday’s 18-inning doubleheader. “There’s a lot of disappointment,” head coach Mark Wasikowski said. “We didn’t play well. We know we didn’t play well. It was really obvious.” For the younger players on the team, there’s been a learning curve. They found success the first weekend of the season — exceeded expectations, even. But Wasikowski understands, as he’s said from the beginning, that young pitchers are going to have their ups and downs against tougher competition. This weekend, Oregon will play four games against the University of San Diego. Unlike the previous two series, this one will be held on four consecutive days, with no doubleheader. And unlike the Ducks, the Toreros are off to a hot start with the bat. They’re 5-1-1, with a rare tie coming in a wild 16-16 game against Nebraska. They have six hitters batting over .300, including Jack Costello, who was recently named a national player of the week. Click here to read about Duck baseball in the Daily Emerald.

An Early Look at Oregon Football's Recruiting Needs in 2024: Defense The dead period is finally over as we enter March, which means recruits will be flocking to Eugene this weekend for visits. Yesterday we examined the offensive needs for the Oregon Ducks in the 2024 class, and today we're breaking it down on defense. Keep in mind again that when writing this, I'm projecting what the team will look like after next season. The Ducks return a wealth of experience for 2023, featuring Brandon Dorlus, Popo Aumavae, Casey Rogers, Keyon Ware-Hudson and Taki Taimani. There's a good chance all of them could be gone after next year, but maybe KWH runs it back in 2024. Terrance Green, Tevita Pome'e, A'mauri Washington, Johnny Bowens and My'Keil Gardner all join from the 2023 recruiting cycle. I think at least of few of them will see the field this season, in what capacity remains to be seen. The best way to sum up this group is that it's got great depth for next year, but 2024 is a big question mark since most of the proven production will depart. Oregon Ducks linebacker Noah Sewell explains decision to declare for 2023 NFL Draft, why his production fell in 2022 Noah Sewell had two dreams in football: To play with older brother, Penei, in college and to play in the NFL. The former Oregon Ducks middle linebacker was robbed of the former in 2020 due to the pandemic and is in the process of making the latter come to fruition, which could come with an opportunity to reunite with his brother too. It’s that end goal to led Sewell to forego his fourth season at UO and declare for the NFL draft.
