No. 21 Ducks will play for weekend sweep against WSU on Sunday The 21st-ranked Ducks will play for their first weekend sweep of Pac-12 play on Sunday when they host Washington State. It marks the third consecutive weekend the Ducks have taken at least one game against Pac-12 opponents. The Ducks have yet to sweep a weekend series though with losses to UCLA and Arizona getting in the way. The Ducks area bit nicked up at the moment. VanSlooten was a game-time decision on Friday due to an ankle injury, and it's unclear what Rogers status will be after apparently twisting her own ankle in the final minute of the last game. Traditional high school recruiting most certainly favors the SEC — and, to a lesser extent, the Big Ten and ACC — but the transfer portal has been a Pac-12 party for going on 2 years now. In 247Sports’ transfer rankings, the Pac-12 has more teams ranked in the top 16 than any 2 other conferences combined. Meanwhile, a half-dozen Pac-12 teams — half the conference, in other words — have transfer hauls ranked in the sweet 16. Gold: Go West, young man — the Pac-12’s total takeover of the transfer portal SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM As of mid-January, the Pac-12 claims 6 of the top 16 spots in the transfer portal rankings. Oregon dominates in big win over No. 9 Arizona Dana Altman made two changes to the starting lineup ahead of the matchup against No. 9 Arizona. While the refreshed lineup certainly helped bring back the missing energy in Matthew Knight Arena, it too brought back the identity of what Oregon basketball tends to be. Defense, rebounds, and scoring. In that order. The Ducks did just about everything right in order to pull off one of the most impressive upsets in school history. The new starting lineup worked to a tee, with all but one ending in double-digit scoring. Jermaine Couisnard made his first start as a Duck and quickly became the new go-to guy. Oregon dominates in big win over No. 9 Arizona OREGON.RIVALS.COM Dana Altman made some changes to his lineup, and it brought positive results as Oregon upset No. 9 Arizona on Saturday.

Dana Altman has a new question to answer as Ducks bolster March Madness hopes Thursday night’s matchup against the Sun Devils, things took an all-time turn for the worse when Oregon got blown out, putting the March Madness hopes on life support. It was a loss that arguably hurt more because of the success that the Ducks had just days prior against Utah. It’s a loss that left head coach Dana Altman up at night, unable to sleep with too many questions circling in his brain. The 64-year-old coach got in the car and started driving south down Interstate 5, hoping to find an answer somewhere between Eugene and an undetermined destination. While he may not have been able to verbalize what the actual answer to that question was, it was clear that a solution came somewhere on the open road. With one question answered, though, a new quandary arises...
