It is so rare that a team spends a high first round draft pick on a QB and then find out that they actually DID get a franchise QB... that there is no way you could be so mindless as to then trade him away.

If I am understanding correctly (and I might not be), transfers coming in do not count against the 25 limit on new recruit scholarships each year. The fact that several are transferring out makes room for transfers in.

It would certainly be a sign that last year the coaches were right. I think they were right anyway, given the circumstances and the choices that they had.

I recall that in the lead up to that game one of the Duck's players was asked if Roper was good enough to lead the team. The answer was something like: The Ducks recruited him; of course he's good enough!

This is always my opinion, though at times it may be wrong. The coaches see and know a lot more than is even possible for me. Fortunately for the team, they are making these decisions and not I.

When they get back together they will not be starting from scratch. That is a good thing. The more games they play, the better they will be. That is why any breaks are a concern. Worry?? Never. Worrying robs one of too much energy.

Any time of the recruiting cycle it is great to be ahead of Georgia, LSU, and Clemson. It's especially nice to be ahead of them this late in the game. Even if we fall behind all three, it's nice to be breathing rarified air.

Last year's sophomores and freshmen will be this year's juniors and sophomores. The new freshman class is dynamite in a bottle. The only thing missing this year is the seniors and red-shirt seniors that were part of an elite class. The cupboards at Oregon are stocked better than they ever have been in history. With two more years of recruiting like this, Oregon's roster will look like the Big Boys. We should be able to get into the playoffs now. We should be able to win it in two years.

I thought the reveal is pretty imaginative. People have been doing the hat thing for a long time. This is the first time I have seen peeling off shirts. He did go through the other two very quickly. I am in favor of the recruits enjoying the moment however they want to. It seems that everyone at his birthday party enjoyed it.

This is good news. I don't think it means anything about the QB room except that Moorhead has options and depth. Very good news. It's going to be a fun spring and summer. Hopefully, there will be unity in the room, with everyone helping everyone.

Good to see the seniors coming back for one more year. I think they recognize that while they may be on the fringe of NFL ready, another year will give them a better chance. Hopefully they all take advantage of the sure thing: a better education heading into the future. Don't just take basket weaving men, take something that will help your future earning power.

Good to know that he can be comfortable in both... I anticipate that eventually the defense will be so dialed in that they will be able to run both equally well as the need arises.

I'm looking forward to spring. I hope they plan it late because COVID is still very much in play. There will be players missing part of the spring because of protocols. Unfortunately, I do not share your optimism for full compliment of spring practices. I think we will get all the practices in but people will still be missing some. The good news is that Moorhead isn't starting from scratch. Most of the team will already know quite a bit of the offence, and so much more can be installed than what would have been installed with a full spring last year. Hopefully the new DC is a good teacher and all our talent can "get it" quickly. Turn the guys loose!! Equally, we collectively hope that MC turns his Coordinators loose!
