At one time, I thought that commitment could mean Oregon wouldn’t have as good a chance with Raiola or Michael Van Buren, but since Moga’s commitment, Van Buren has continued to pick up crystal ball projections to land at Oregon. Van Buren was once viewed as a Penn State lean. He’s ranked 129th overall in the 247 Sports composite rankings, as well as 11th among quarterbacks. The Nittany Lions felt like the favorite before he visited Oregon. Now, Oregon seems poised to land Michael Van Buren and Luke Moga. The Ducks also flipped four-star quarterback Austin Novosad in the 2023 cycle, so the quarterback position is going to be set going forward for the Ducks, despite missing on Dante Moore in 2023.
