  1. The Pac-12 could end up partnering with ESPN and Fox — more on that momentarily — but it probably would not be a simple renewal of the existing agreement. It would be a new deal with a new component: The game inventory that has, to this point, been located on the Pac-12 Networks. Do you expect the exit fee in the new grant-of-rights (GOR) to be similar to those in place for ACC and Big 12? Oregon and Washington may be hesitant to sign one that has steep penalties. — @Pac12FanFeed I have mentioned this before when fans wondered about the fragility of a six- or seven-year GOR for the Pac-12, and it’s worth repeating: Nobody will ever again lock in their media rights for 10 or 12 years (or more). 3. Oregon football offers top 2025 prospect in Washington A new offer goes out to the top prospect in Washington. Dan Lanning and the Oregon football program have evaluated a new prospect based out of the Pacific Northwest and have decided to offer a scholarship offer now. The offer came after Oregon's Special Team's Coordinator Joe Lorig made an eval and the scholarship offer was announced Friday. 2025 4-star linebacker Zaydrius Rainey-Sale out of Bethel high school in the Seattle area was offered a scholarship by Lorig and the Ducks. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound linebacker is rated as the No. 1 prospect in the state of Washington by the 247Sports Composite Rankings, and he's ranked 96th nationally regardless of position. The 247Sports Rankings are even better, as Rainey-Sale is ranked 71st overall regardless of position, the No. 11 linebacker in the country, and the No. 2 prospect in the state of Washington for the 2025 class. 4. Early Enrollee Spring Rewind: Austin Novosad Here is a breakdown of what Oregon true freshman Austin Novosad showed during his first spring football camp. Today, we continue this series with quarterback Austin Novosad. Recruit Stats: 4-star prospect / 131st-rated overall prospect /10th-rated quarterback Height/Weight: 6-foot-3 / 185 pounds Outlook this fall: A winter signing day flip, Novosad jumpstarted his collegiate career with early enrollment to become the third scholarship quarterback on hand for spring camp. Tall but still quite lean, Novosad will need time to physically develop before being asked to contribute at this level. That's not a bad thing. The Ducks aren't in need of immediate contributors with two more advanced quarterbacks already on the roster — including Heisman Trophy candidate Bo Nix. 5. This is an article I jus now found dated May 11. It does go along what Charles posted on this thread. But, if it is true about the dollars per school, it's not good. As far as I know, have not seen Canzano, Wilner or Bodkin reporting any of this. I am hoping none of it is true. Pac-12 TV negotiations reaching critical stage as mood, atmosphere grow more stressful Conference solidarity is on the line as negotiations for a media avenue for revenue drags on These include "The Monty Show," a Salt Lake City-based podcast on YouTube which reported on Twitter: "Sources also tell me ESPN would like to do a deal with the Pac-12 bur have been from in their financial offer, which I am told is $90 million per season, and has told the Pac-12 they will not go beyond that number, as ESPN is looking for a game or two outside of prime time window." Another is Greg Swaim, a radio personality who has 67,000-plus followers on Twitter. He posted the following on Wednesday: “Expect a move from #Buffs and #BearDownjust after Memorial Day. As we reported months ago, the only actual offer from @ESPNat $9M per team and they may get another $10M from @AppleTV, but no guarantees. So $19M per team and a very large portion of that is streaming only.” If the Pac-12 remains intact as 10 or 12 it is likely for less than the Big 12’s renegotiated TV deal of $31 million per team, likely in the low to mid-20s, and it most likely will be a majority of streaming product produced by different studios. It will take a hit on linear availability. 10. 2026 St. John Bosco WR Madden Williams Talks Oregon Offer The Oregon coaching staff has been all over the country this week in the thick of the spring evaluation period. The Oregon Ducks hold the Pac-12's best recruiting class in the 2024 class by a wide margin, and a big reason for that is the Ducks being able to secure key commitments from elite prospects early on in the process. One of those commitments just locked in a special honor for his high school career. 4-star safety Aaron Flowers has announced he's committed to playing in the All-American Bowl in January 2024 in Texas. 16. Early Enrollee Spring Rewind: Kenyon Sadiq Here is a breakdown of what Oregon true freshman Kenyon Sadiq showed during his first spring football camp. Today, we continue this series with tight end Kenyon Sadiq. Recruit Stats: 4-star prospect / 115th-rated overall prospect /4th-rated athlete Height/Weight: 6-foot-3 / 220 pounds Outlook this fall: Of the freshmen who enrolled for spring, few entered a more advantageous situation. Sadiq was one of three scholarship tight ends on campus, and by the end, one of just two available to play in the spring game. He finished the spring game with two catches for 25 yards. With Terrance Ferguson sidelined for the final 10 or so practices of spring, the true freshmen saw an elevated practice role for a young player. All of that could ultimately pay dividends in Sadiq's short-term development. 17. In control most of the night, Oregon failed to close out what would have been a massive resume-boosting win and will instead need to hope for fortuitous seeding in order to host an NCAA softball regional. The No. 5 seed Ducks led 2-0 and regained the lead after No. 4 Stanford tied it in the sixth, but couldn’t hang on in the seventh as the Cardinal won 4-3 on a walk-off throwing error by Allee Bunker in a Pac-12 softball tournament quarterfinal Thursday night at Hillenbrand Stadium. 18. Oregon's spring camp has come and gone, and now is the time to offer a positional hierarchy for each group on the team. Oregon's 2023 spring camp is now behind us. The team completed its 15 spring sessions earlier this month with a final walk-through following the April 29 spring game. With spring behind us, and the transfer market mostly gone too, it felt the right time to take stock of the team's roster situation. In order to do so, I've ranked each position group. This exercise is completely subjective and based wholly on what I've seen with my own two eyes. I'm considering what each group should offer on the field this year, so while depth is important, top tier talent will take precedence (as you'll notice at quarterback in particular). I ran through the same exercise to close last season. You can take a look at those rankings HERE. I've included rankings from last season with this year's standing in order to help show how the offseason has shaped each group. 19. Eighteen members of Oregon's 2023 signing class enrolled in classes this spring to get a jumpstart on their collegiate careers. Over the next few weeks, we'll be reviewing their progress this spring and what they figure to provide the program this fall. Today, we begin this series with defensive end Matayo Uiagalelei. Recruit Stats: 4-star prospect / 44th-rated overall prospect /7th-rated EDGE player Height/Weight: 6-foot-5 / 265 pounds Outlook this fall: Uiagalelei wowed the Autzen crowd in in his debut spring game. His blend of size, strength and athleticism were hard to miss, and he finished with two tackles and one tackle for loss. The hope is that that April 29 was a sign of things to come and not a fluke. Given what was said throughout spring, it seems the former is more likely. 20. Prediction: Oregon Poised for Transfer Portal Addition The transfer portal has been one of the biggest wrinkles in college football in recent years, but even more so between the 2022 and 2023 college football seasons. Every school has a different approach when it comes to additions and departures, but one thing's for sure: adding the right players can change the outlook for your season in a hurry. The Ducks have already added a number of big names this offseason including wide receiver Traeshon Holden, offensive tackle Ajani Cornelius and edge rusher Jordan Burch to name a few. That number should grow this weekend, as USC wide receiver transfer Gary Bryant Jr. is set to announce his college commitment on Saturday May 13. The buzz is that he'll likely decide between Oregon and Texas A&M, with Miami standing on the outside looking in. I'm predicting that Bryant will commit to Oregon and become a Duck. https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/college/article275322881.html#storylink=rss
  21. Latest crystal balls for Dylan Raiola and other 2024 quarterbacks The Ducks are focused on taking two quarterbacks in the 2024 college football recruiting class and landing one already at the end of last month by landing three-star QB Luke Moga. At one time, I thought that commitment could mean Oregon wouldn’t have as good a chance with Raiola or Michael Van Buren, but since Moga’s commitment, Van Buren has continued to pick up crystal ball projections to land at Oregon. Van Buren was once viewed as a Penn State lean. He’s ranked 129th overall in the 247 Sports composite rankings, as well as 11th among quarterbacks. The Nittany Lions felt like the favorite before he visited Oregon. Now, Oregon seems poised to land Michael Van Buren and Luke Moga. The Ducks also flipped four-star quarterback Austin Novosad in the 2023 cycle, so the quarterback position is going to be set going forward for the Ducks, despite missing on Dante Moore in 2023. Moore flipped from Oregon to UCLA. But Bo Nix is still going to be the starter this season and by the time the 2024 season rolls around, Novosad will hopefully be ready with Mona and Michael Van Buren ready to compete as backups, at least if all the projections prove to be true.
