Offensive Coordinator Candidates
Chip Kelly return to Oregon? No, never, not nowThough it may have been partly scapegoating, reports out of Sin City suggested cognitive decline, as if Kelly had lost his grip on the game and the intricate details of the job. He was calling plays the team hadn't practiced, plays from another time and place, or so the story went. Sports love a redemption story, but Kelly's won't be written at UO. He doesn't fit the meticulous, cooperative, player-led, team-oriented process of the operation. He's always been a bit of a maverick, a terse, outspoken loner who goes his own way. The mantra in Eugene is FEBU. Kelly's focus is more singular than that. If he wants it he'll have another opportunity in football because of the brilliance he's displayed in the past, but in no way is he a fit at Oregon on the staff of Dan Lanning, in a program with a much different focus and stamp. Autzen ZooChip Kelly return to Oregon? No, never, not nowFans love redemption stories and tidy solutions. Chip Kelly was recently fired in Las Vegas, and the Ducks need a new offensive coordinator.During Chip’s glory days at Oregon. Thanks for the memories, but today? No thanks.

Oregon’s Answer to the 12-Personnel Meta
MatchQuarters by Cody AlexanderThe defensive think tank from Cody Alexander. Learn to master Spatial Darwinism and the art of constraining space. Squares, Triangles, and the evolution of the modern Edge defender.2025 might be the most diverse defense Lanning has ever assembled. To address the split-field coverage issue in Base, the defense has repurposed Saban standards such as Box, Mix, and Stump to align with their 3-4 structure. Oregon isn’t reinventing the wheel; they're adapting it to their new reality. Oregon’s Answer to the 12-Personnel MetaSquares, Triangles, and the evolution of the modern Edge defender.

7 major takeaways from Oregon Ducks' 26-14 win over Washington Huskies It's not hard to imagine the scene behind those closed doors. After going to battle down a handful of starting players on offense once again, Oregon didn't waver and was able to control the game against Washington for four full quarters, ultimately landing the kill shot with a 64-yard touchdown from Malik Benson on a critical 3rd and 9 midway through the fourth quarter, which stretched the Ducks' lead from five to 12 points. Now, the Ducks can look forward to a week off, a chance to get healthy, and a wait as they let the College Football Playoff chips fall around them. Before we get to the coming weeks, though, let's dive in and enjoy this win over Washington. Here are some of our biggest takeaways from the game:
