In the University of Southern California athletics scandal, the University of Southern California (USC) was investigated and punished for NCAA rules violations in the Trojan football, men's basketball and women's tennisprograms.[1]
The sanctions were announced on June 10, 2010, and affected the USC football program from 2010 to 2012. Sanctions for the football team included postseason bans (2 years), scholarship losses (3 years), vacating old games (including a BCS Championship game), and disassociating with Reggie Bush. Separately, Bush returned his Heisman Trophy. USC head coach Pete Carroll also left USC shortly before sanctions were announced.

Accused 53 Charges Felony conspiracy to commit: In 2019, a scandal arose over a criminal conspiracy to influence undergraduate admissions decisions at several top American universities. The investigation into the conspiracy was code named Operation Varsity Blues.[1][2] The investigation and related charges were made public on March 12, 2019, by United States federal prosecutors. At least 53[3] people have been charged as part of the conspiracy,[4][5] a number of whom pleaded guilty or agreed to plead guilty. Thirty-three parents of college applicants were accused of paying more than $25 million between 2011 and 2018 to William Rick Singer, organizer of the scheme, who used part of the money to fraudulently inflate entrance exam test scores and bribe college officials.[6][7] Of the 32 parents named in a Federal Bureau of Investigation affidavit filed in U.S. District Court in Boston, more than half had apparently paid bribes to have their children enrolled at the University of Southern California (USC).[8]

UO is in the planning stages for renovating and expanding the North side of Autzen Stadium, according to a source with knowledge of the matter, who requested anonymity because they’re not authorized to speak publicly.

Oh great! Was hoping to get away from Pac-12 After Dark
. Yuck 
. Of course it will always be for now on 'Show Me the Money' 
. More dollars comes with a price of doing business. They want that night time inventory. But, will be better with the Big Ten then it was with the Pac-12.
Washington fans need to tone it down. They haven't gotten into the Big Ten yet, already creating enemies. Illusion of Grandeur happening.
If it wasn't for Oregon, Washington wouldn't have gotten in. It needed to be done as a team effort.

There are essentially 2 exits out of Autzen and traffic is already a nightmare. They have done a poor job of any sort of traffic flow for the last 5-7 years. Adding more cars will make it worse. It can take 2 hours to get out after the game."
So there are logistical hurdles that would have to be made. But, it seems Rob Mullins, by mentioning it, Oregon must have a plan to handle it all.
I guess we'll see.

The innovative minds along with deep pocket donors, Oregon will always be forward thinking. And with the coaching staff we have in place we'll always be a jump ahead of Washington. Dan Lanning is brilliant coach.
The changes he's made for this year is a step up from last year. Yes, or offensive side will score a boat load of points. The biggest surprise will be on the defensive side as well as changes he's made in special teams. I feel we all will be pleasantly surprised.
Yes, Washington's coach is very good, but not the best recruiter. We have an all around coach. Again, he has a brilliant coaching mind who can enormously recruit nationally. Being in the Big Ten will help Oregon's brand and fanbase grow. It will give Lanning all the tools he'll need to make Oregon great!
Again, it's not just the money, yes that is a good part of it. But being in the Big Ten is also the visibility, the exposure and security. Let's face it, that deal with Apple was not good. Limited exposure, money not great, no security in the Pac-12.
The Pac-12 leadership have made so many costly mistakes for this conference thru the years, including this next deal. It became shackles/dead weight for Oregon in money and exposure as well as security. There was no way around it. Both schools needed each other as a team to help make it happen. This was the right move for both universities.

It was about stability. It was about having a future that we could count on and built towards.”
For months, the Pac-12 had been looking for a new TV home, most recently negotiating with Apple on a media rights deal while it seemed as though none of the major networks had any interest. Meanwhile, the Big Ten will broadcast games on CBS, NBC and Fox every Saturday beginning this season.

The conference seems in position to possibly break a College Football Playoff drought that extends back to 2016. USC is back on the national radar with Lincoln Riley. It's going to be fun watching teams take their best shots at the Trojans on the way out of the door. And, again, Prime Time is in the conference now.
Instead, the Pac-12 is on life support; only to be saved by some sort of potential merger with the Mountain West Conference and the remaining teams. Get ready for the Pac-Mountain Football. The demise of the Pac-12 has led to a social media outcry of how bad this is for college football and the romanticizing of West Coast football as a whole.

What were they saying from before? Oregon and Washington did not bring enough media value to the table when USC and UCLA were invited to go to the Big Ten? Evidently we do now
FOX might have been able to exploit getting Oregon at a cheaper price. But I believe Oregon will have the last laugh, using the Big Ten and FOX as a platform to expand their brand.
In a conversation with Bill Rabinowitz of The Columbus Dispatch, Smith revealed he had an inkling last week that things might start falling after a conversation with Colorado AD Rick George in Indianapolis. As for the new additions, Smith admitted Oregon and Washington bring major value to the B1G’s television partnerships.

Oregon is officially headed to the Big Ten and it could not be a more exciting development for recruits like Luke Moga.
The three-star quarterback from Phoenix (Ariz.) Sunnyslope committed to the Ducks in April, choosing Oregon over two dozen other scholarship offers, and was back in Eugene at the end of last month when the quiet period window opened.
With realignment setting the college football landscape ablaze and the Ducks making the switch from the Pac-12, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect now readies for his final high school season knowing he’s headed to play in a new conference.

The Big Ten talk show have been sharing a lot on Oregon and Washington. They had James Crepea on and he gave a glowing review on Oregon. He said that Oregon is building a new football practice facility and there are plans to expand Autzen stadium.
Oregon is preparing for the next stages they feel is needed. One of them is preparing Autzen Stadium for Big Ten conference and for the new upcoming 12 team playoff. If Oregon should wind up hosting.
If anything, the North side is badly in need of an upgrade. Big Ten fans do travel well for away games.
