  1. The brand of Pac-12 officiating continues to be broken. Not sure why the conference can't get this corrected. Canzano: Pac-12 officials need to say less WWW.JOHNCANZANO.COM Some things I learned...
  2. Coach Dillingham is a fantastic OC! Genius in his Xs and Os. Once we are in the red zone, we need to succeed in getting TDs, not field goals. Especially with UCLA.
  3. No. 9 UCLA leads the Pac-12 and is fourth nationally in third down offense (54.79%). Read article to see where our Ducks ranks in the Pac-12 and nationally this year. Statistically speaking: Oregon Ducks’ run defense moves into top 15 after bye week WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM The No. 10 Ducks (5-1, 3-0 Pac-12) have been in the top 20 in run defense since beating Washington State and moved up from 19th to 13th following their bye week.
  4. Agree?, Disagree? What would your picks be? Oregon Football: Stock report at midway point of season for the Ducks DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Bo Nix stock is at an all-time high. What about Jeffrey Bassa? How do we feel about Dont’e Thornton at the midway point?
  5. Win against UCLA could potentially catapult Oregon up the rankings and into the conversation for a spot in the CFP should they find a way to win out. Five questions Zachery Neal brought up. What do you think about these questions? Oregon Football: 5 questions for Ducks to answer in the rest of season DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Can Bo Nix keep playing at this pace? Will Dan Lanning’s youth ever show? Our questions for the Ducks going into the second-half of the season.
  6. Here is an article ranking the guest pickers. Oregon Football: Ranking the best guest pickers for College GameDay DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Sabrina Ionescu? Payton Pritchard? Neil Everett? Who do you think should be the guest picker for ESPN’s College GameDay in Eugene?
  7. Great comparison information of past QBs vs Bo Nix. Even including the first game with Georgia, Bo Nix numbers are fantastic! Oregon Football: How does Bo Nix’s start compare to Oregon history? DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Through six games, Bo Nix has been on fire. So much so that his stats belong in conversations with Marcus Mariota, Justin Herbert, and Dennis Dixon.
  8. I am not saying UCLA isn't a good team under Chip Kelly. But, so far out of the 6 games UCLA played only had one road game at Colorado. Their win against Washington which seems to be not as strong as people thought they were. Washington's win they had against MSU wasn't that great of a win, MSU is 2-4. Washington loses to ASU. Utah is missing their best TE playmaker due to injury. Coach KW key offensive prowess is contingent on a two set TE. Again this injury hurts them. Utah also lost key defensive players they had from last year's team. That win against S. Alabama at home for UCLA was ugly. I feel UCLA has not really been tested, not like Oregon. Oregon's offense is clicking on all cylinders. Oregon's defense is improving each and every game. They have been battle tested on the road and they are getting stronger. We get UCLA at a sell out raucous crowd in Autzen. This year's stats so far for Bo Nix behind one of the best front lines in the country with the best record in preventive sacks to the QB: 70.4% Comp/1,524 Yards/8.2 YPA/12 TDs/3 INTs (2 of those INTs was against Georgia in the 1st game) 40 Carries/331 Yards/8.3 YPC/8 TDs I do like our chances at home.
  9. 2023 commit to LSU, Dayton Austin. He talks about his visit to Oregon. He has a relationship with Coach Lanning. Oregon Football Recruiting: 2023 Cornerback Daylen Austin Talks Ducks Visit, Latest in Recruitment - Sports Illustrated Oregon Ducks News, Analysis and More WWW.SI.COM The Ducks continue to gain ground with a top defensive back target.
  10. Some of the best high school players in Canada and one of the North America's premier high school programs, the Okotoks Dawgs came to take on Oregon in a Wednesday night scrimmage. Some news and notes from Oregon baseball's Wednesday night scrimmage 247SPORTS.COM As the college football season jumps into week seven, fall baseball is alive and well at campuses across the country. Look no further than the backyard of Autzen
  11. Welcome Byron, enjoyed your article, looking forward to more from you. Fubo.tv gives me all the sports channels, including Pac-12 network. With Fubo you get 1,000 hours for recording. Schools to look at for expansion: If we are looking at Mountain West schools, to me UNLV and SDSU would be the choice. UNLV is tier 1 research institution, Las Vegas is the mecca for Pro sports/betting, etc. Great venues that already host Pac-12 championships for football and basketball. Las Vegas media market ranked 40, but is one of the fasting growing cities. SDSU does give us a foothold in the Southern California area. They are in the process of working towards tier 1 research institution. They just finished building a brand new stadium. Personally rather have them in the Pac-12 and keep the Big 12 from getting a foothold in our region. Grab these schools before they enter into the Big 12. BYU (ranked 21 academics amongst all institutions in the country), great fanbase nationally, travel well. Would be big rivalry with Utah. Houston, in big media market city. TCU or SMU (rolling in money), both in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, big media market. There is also the ACC. Form a coastal conference with them. Use the new stadiums in Las Angeles and Las Vegas to play games between the two joining conferences. Take the Rose Bowl back and away from the Big Ten. Use the Rose Bowl to form a new alliance with a top bowl game with the ACC, SEC and or the Big 12. All I am saying is the Pac-12 needs to be creative to bring in more regions and become maybe a 3rd Big conference to compete. More good media markets. To get those better media markets the conference needs to look beyond our own backyard. Bring in more value to the conference. Use the Pac-12 network to work along side with a streaming company like Amazon or Apple. Also use a linear company like ESPN. Have both linear and streaming. The presidents and chancellors need to move out of their comfort zone and allow our commissioner free to be creative and allow him to do what he does best. Like what Charles said, there needs to be incentives for universities to receive more revenue for their schools. I am not sure really what is the best solution, but the Pac-12 needs to be proactive! Otherwise the only other solution is for Oregon to except an invite to the Big Ten if invited to survive.
  12. If all standing room only tickets are completely sold, I believe Autzen will be over-flowing at 60,000
  13. Duck Territory have chosen their Midseason MVPs, top bench players and top freshmen for offense and defense. What's your thoughts? DT Roundtable: Oregon's midseason offensive and defensive awards 247SPORTS.COM DT Roundtable: Oregon's midseason offensive and defensive awards
  14. Home field advantage seems to be the theme in this article. Glad Oregon has home field advantage against UCLA, Utah and Washington. Upcoming game against UCLA is already sold out, standing room only tickets left. Autzen will be ROCKING!! Canzano: No place like home in the Pac-12 WWW.JOHNCANZANO.COM My Week 7 picks
  15. "Matt Prehm, Erik Skopil and Jared Mack discuss on how do we view the play of Oregon's defensive position groups this season? Who has been the MVP, the star freshman, and top reserve for Oregon's defense through its first six games of the year?" PODCAST: Review of Oregon's defense and projecting its MVP at season's halfway point 247SPORTS.COM How do we view the play of Oregon's defensive position groups this season? Who has been the MVP, the star freshman, and top reserve for Oregon's defense through its first
  16. This article goes along with should we root for USC or Utah? Donovan James take on the game, what might be Oregon's best interest which school should win. Though, my feelings is too much distaste for USC to root for them. But i am in a quandary, it might be best for Oregon and maybe Pac-12 if USC wins. Oregon makes it to the championship and soundly beats USC.. Ducks Wire editor: Good if USC wins, but UO fans won’t support Trojans TROJANSWIRE.USATODAY.COM .@Ducks_Wire editor @ZacharyCNeel said a #USC win would help the #Pac12 … and that Duck fans likely will support Utah. They don’t want Travis Dye to win at USC.
  17. Ducks survived a trip to the desert in an impressive fashion. Oregon Football: 5 notes from Oregon’s usage report in 49-22 win DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Josh Conerly and Jahlil Florence see their biggest days yet, and Jeffrey Bassa can’t be kept off the field. Our snap count takeaways from Week 6.
  18. Heisman buzz is certainly starting to grow for Bo Nix. Last week he was No. 10, he is now No. 7 on the list. This year's stats so far: 70.4% Comp/1,524 Yards/8.2 YPA/12 TDs/3 INTs 40 Carries/331 Yards/8.3 YPC/8 TDs Oregon Football: Bo Nix jumps up Heisman Trophy award list DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The stats don’t lie, and the votes are starting to pile up as well. Bo Nix is building a case as a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate.
  19. "Shift of tone from kevin Warren. It seems Warren and the Big Ten are backing off, for now." Canzano: Big Ten sounds like it's standing down vs. Pac-12 WWW.JOHNCANZANO.COM Shift of tone from Kevin Warren.
  20. Agree, need more information. Not believing it at this point.
  21. Not a bad idea freezing out scheduling any BIG Ten school, in turn alienating USC and UCLA. Pac-12 can always schedule games with the ACC, Big 12 or SEC. If we get a loose agreement with the ACC, take the Rose Bowl out of the equation with the BIG TEN, if possible, and start a new tradition with the Rose Bowl playing the ACC or even the SEC.
  22. I thought this as well. I thought Kelly should have kicked a field goal instead of running it up the middle. This is something Charles pointed out, I did not catch in that championship game with Auburn. If you look at the attached play below, our RB took the wrong path to the end zone. He should have ran where it was blocked well to the outside. It would have been a TD and a different outcome to that game. Great designed play to the outside, our RB made the wrong choice.
  23. Glad he received the recognition. Kenny Dillingham named Pac-12 top coordinator for Week 6 DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Oregon’s Kenny Dillingham the top coordinator in the Pac-12 after its 49-22 win at Arizona.
  24. Oregon ranking, total offense No. 5, previous ranking No. 13. Total defense No. 68, previous ranking No. 72. Oregon Football: Where Oregon’s offense ranks nationally after Week 6 DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Ducks rank in the top 10 for scoring offense and rushing offense. They rank top 5 for total offense, and No. 1 for sacks allowed. Vintage Oregon. Oregon Football: Where Ducks’ defense ranks nationally after Arizona DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM Oregon stepped up to the challenge and stifled Arizona’s passing attack. Where does that land them in the national rankings?
