I was listening to ESPN the other day and one of the pundits posited that Schottenheimer is a one year coach. His take was Jerry missed on the top tier coaches this year and will see who becomes available next year and likely dump Schottenheimer. So the net is whomever gets the job , maybe it's short term. Who really knows what Jerry is thinking.

The NCAA will move at their usual glacial pace so this should be resolved by 2048. It took them 4 years to figure out the Willy Lyles thing and this is way more complicated so resolution in 23 years seems reasonable.

And if Chip jumps to the NFL Day might promote Hartline since he seems well respected and has surfaced as an HC candidate a few times. If Day was not willing to.fire Johnson to placate Knowles then you have to wonder if Day promotes him to DC. Just random thoughts, nothing else.
