“Mic” suggested to do this if someone had the software to do it.

My software was a number 2 pencil and a notebook.  It was done at 4 am.

    Yes I am sober.

I am either insane or just an old Duck fan who cannot wait until 12:30 today!

I will go out on a limb.  Both my brother and I think Georgia is fielding the best defense college football has seen in a decade.

I liked how the one gentleman said, “Bo didn’t do that badly against Georgia.”

Alabama will also throw two pics against that secondary.  That’s how good I think they are.  I know, it’s just my opinion.

I think this game will do more to define Bo, then it will to define our entire team.  We are very young yet, including our coaching staff.

But Bo has seen much better teams then BYU.  I think it’s “cowboy up” time for Bo?  No more excuses for Bo.

    Go Ducks!

I think it has a little bit more to do with an embarrassment of riches so many wide receivers with talent. Competing with Kris Hudson who was one of the bright points of last year's team and made a lot of tough catches on third down. Seven is elusive after the catch and has great speed but can he make the tough catch?

I never thought of all that.

  4. Nice read and take on tomorrow’s game.

I wonder if seven isn’t being used much because he’s to small for a former SEC coach?

I agree totally on your thoughts regarding the need for a pass rush.  I think it may be the key to the game.

I have not been able to watch a game yet so I am looking forward to tomorrow.

Good morning to everyone in Eugene, I really wish I was there.

I have been studying quite a bit of Georgia defense while Dan Lanning was there, and what I can say for certain is that we have seen almost nothing of the complex tactics that the Bulldogs used.  I believe we gradually will over the course of the season, and the pass rush will get better.

It is possible that he did not unveil much versus Georgia because our players were not ready, and the 'Dawgs would have handled it fine due to practicing against it every day.  And we did not see much in the last game as I believe Lanning was holding stuff out for BYU.

I would very surprised if we did not see quite a bit a new defensive blitzes and strategies over the next two games.  (IMHO!)  And welcome to the forum!

Thank you for welcome.   And hello from Virginia.  We have a small but dedicated fan base here.

We’re all hoping to see that defense we know is there.  Easy to forget just how young the Ducks are this year.

  6. Very nicely written and well thought out piece.  Thank You.

In #4 you mentioned sacks, or the lack there of.

That is my main worry.  With this talent I was expecting much better pressure on the Eastern Washington QB.  It is still early in the season and we are very young as a team.

Can we beat BYU or Utah without a pass rush?
