Or because both conferences insist on calling themselves big because no one in the Midwest whether that be the northern or southern part of the Midwest can think of another adjative. Tradition and trademarked market value. Legend and Leaders were stupid. Keeping the Big 10 moniker makes business sense. Something Pac-12 leadership seemed to be immune to?
