4-star RB Tory Blaylock puts Ducks among top schools

The Oregon Ducks have recruited the running back position at an impressive clip over the past few years, especially since Carlos Locklyn came to town over a year ago. With commitments from 4-stars Jordan James, Dante Dowdell, and Jayden Limar, plus transfers from Bucky Irving and Noah Whittington, Oregon fans are used to getting good news at the RB position.

The Ducks are now in a good position when it comes to one of the top RBs in the 2025 class as well. 4-star RB Tory Blaylock announced his top 13 schools on Saturday, listing the Ducks along with schools like Ohio State, Alabama, Texas, Georiga, and several others.

Is there a "Crystal Ball Watch" somewhere? It would be nice to tune into players who are predicted to sign with us in the coming days or weeks. Hoping we can finally get a 5-star sooner rather than later.

Junior OL Maki Stewart is hearing from schools coast to coast since August 1st

Los Alamitos’ (Calif.) junior offensive lineman Maki Stewart looks primed for a big season.

We had a chance to see Stewart in action over the weekend when the Griffins took on Gardena (Calif.) Serra in a scrimmage. Stewart worked out at left tackle and was really impressive, showing why he’s already a national recruit.

Stewart had a strong sophomore season for the Griffins but transferred briefly to Mission Hills (Calif.) Alemany in the off-season. He’s now back at Los Al and is part of what should be one of the state’s top offensive lines.

Stewart played both guard and tackle last season and shows the ability to play either spot at the college level as well. At 6-4.5, 285 pounds with an 80”+ wingspan, he has definite some tackle traits and that’s definitely where he wants to play at the next level as well.

On the recruiting front, Stewart has heard from a host of schools since the August 1st contact period started up.

Top-10 2025 WR puts Ducks among top schools

There seems to be a growing chance that the Oregon Ducks 2025 wide receiver class could be one of the best that the school has ever seen.

Already, the Ducks have commitments from 4-star WR Dallas Wilson, the No. 5 WR in 2025 (24th overall), and 4-star Adrian Wilson, the No. 22 WR in 2025 (122nd overall).

They are also in the mix to now land 4-star WR Marcus Harris, one of the top skill-position players on the west coast from Mater Dei High School in California. On Tuesday, Harris announced his top schools, keeping Oregon in the mix.

Harris is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 6 WR and No. 41 overall player in the 2025 class.

It doesn’t hurt that Oregon already has a commitment from 4-star QB Akili Smith Jr., the No. 5 QB in the 2025 class. By getting him on board early on, the Oregon legacy player can help recruit to Eugene and get top-rated athletes to join him with the Ducks.

Oregon 5-star commit reportedly visiting Colorado, Deion Sanders

Could one of Oregon’s priority recruits from the 2025 class be a serious threat to flip elsewhere?

Dallas Wilson, a 5-star wide receiver from the Tampa Bay area, committed to the Ducks on Jan. 17, the 4th player in the class to pledge to Dan Lanning’s program. Wilson is considered by 247Sports to be the No. 5 wide receiver in the 2025 cycle.

However, big things appear to be happening in Colorado under Deion Sanders, with Coach Prime’s recruiting prowess well on display at Jackson State and now in Boulder.

And, according to 247Sports’ Adam Munsterteiger, Wilson will be at Folsom Field for the Buffaloes’ game against Colorado State on Saturday.

Four-Star '25 Edge Nasir Wyatt cuts his list to eight, goes in-depth on his finalists

Wyatt cut his list of schools to eight on Wednesday and has another cut coming after his season.

Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei junior linebacker Nasir Wyatt cut his list of schools to eight on Wednesday.

Wyatt is the top player in the state in both the 247Sports Composite and Top247. He’s ranked the No. 20 player nationally in the Composite and a five-star prospect as well.

He's one of the elite pass rushers nationally in the ’25 class and has the ability to take over a game. Physically, he’s a long 6-foot-2, 210 pounds with a game that reminds some of former Monarch and current Stanford sophomore David Bailey.

Oregon Set to Host Five-Star Safety Against Washington State, Report

Oregon will have a five-star visitor this weekend.

2025 Tampa (Fla.) Zephryhills safety DJ Pickett will be in Eugene this weekend for a visit when the Ducks take on Washington State, according to a report from Chad Simmons of On3 Sports.

Pickett is rated a five-star (0.9966) recruit according to the 247Sports Composite. The same system ranks him the No. 9 player nationally, the No. 1 safety and the No. 2 recruit in Florida.

He stands 6'2" and weighs 170 pounds and has garnered 40 reported scholarship offers during his high school career.

Pickett last took a visit to Oregon back in June, so a return trip is a good sign for where the Ducks stand in his recruiting process.

He hasn't narrowed his recruitment to a top group of schools, but getting him back on campus for a strong visit could go a long way in Dan Lanning solidifying the Ducks as one of his top suitors.

Oregon's 2025 recruiting class currently sits at four verbal commitments and is ranked No. 8 in the country according to 247Sports, headlined by Tampa (Fla.) Bay Tech four-star wide receiver Dallas Wilson.

The class will likely grow however, as five-star Scottsdale (Ariz.) Desert Mountain defensive lineman and Oregon commit Tony Cumberland told Ducks Digest following his commitment that he plans to reclassify from 2026 to 2025.

The Ducks have yet to land a commitment from a safety in the 2025 class but they're also heavily recruiting Pittsburg (Calif.) All-American selection Jadyn Hudson, who visited Eugene for the Colorado game.

5-star LB Jonah Williams puts Oregon Ducks among top schools

The Oregon Ducks have been finding a ton of success on the field this season, and they’re turning that into success on the recruiting trail. After picking up commitments from a pair of 5-star defensive linemen — Ayden Breland and Elijah Rushing — over the past month, Dan Lanning and the Ducks are now in a great position to potentially land another 5-star player in the 2025 class as well.

On Wednesday, 2025 5-star Jonah Williams announced his top 12 schools, with the Ducks firmly in the mix. Williams plays a mix of safety and linebacker in Texas, standing at 6-foot-3, and 205 pounds.

As much as I’d like for Oregon to get Arch Manning, if we do bring in a transfer portal QB, we need one that is capable of taking the reins from Bo and winning now (i.e., not a developmental project).

Has anyone seen Arch play?

No, I haven't seen Arch Manning play. But players like Bo aren't many and certainly aren't available easily if at all.  I have seen Mendoza play and for some reason I just think he would be a good one to get IF he were to decide to jettison Cal for O.  He has 3 years of eligibility remaining and I think O could make him into a great QB quickly.  Bo was probably a once in a program history acquire for Oregon

Four-Star '25 QB Husan Longstreet breaks down his top eight

Corona (Calif.) Centennial junior quarterback Husan Longstreet cut his list of schools down to eight earlier in the week.

Longstreet is one of the top prospects in the ’25 class and is currently rated the No. 56 player nationally in the 247Sports Top247 and No. 4 QB as well.

On the recruiting front, Longstreet narrowed his list of schools down to eight headlined by Florida State, Louisville, Miami, Michigan, Ole Miss, Oregon, UCLA and Washington.

Among that group, he has already taken unofficial visits to Louisville, Michigan, UCLA and Washington and said he would like to take official visits to all eight programs.

5-star QB Bryce Underwood lists Oregon Ducks among top schools

The Oregon Ducks have done a great job of recruiting the quarterback position over the past couple of years, landing 4-star Austin Novosad in 2023, and picking up commitments from both 4-star Michael Van Buren and 3-star Luke Moga in the class of 2024.

On top of that, Oregon already has a commitment from 4-star Akili Smith Jr. in the class of 2025, as well.

Might there be another QB commitment in 2025, though?

That’s still yet to be seen. On Monday afternoon, 5-star QB Bryce Underwood, the No. 1 ranked QB in the 2025 class, announced that he had the Ducks among his top schools.

Underwood also listed Alabama, Colorado, Michigan, LSU, Penn State, and Florida State in his top 7.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Underwood stands as the No. 2 overall player in the class of 2025, standing at 6-foot-4, 205 pounds.

We will have to see how the Ducks continue to pursue him over the coming months, but for now they seem to be in a great spot in his recruitment...

'It's gonna be huge;' Oregon prepares for big-time recruiting weekend with impressive visitor list

Over the past decade or so, the Oregon Ducks have expanded their recruiting footprint to span across the nation.

No longer do they just focus on the top players out west, but rather they take aim at the best players from the North East, to the deep South, to the talent-rich lands of Texas, and everywhere in between.

Despite all of that, on of the most fertile grounds for Oregon over the years has been Southern California, where they’ve gone toe to toe with the USC Trojans in attempts to land some of the best players in the nation, quite successfully, I might add.

That’s what makes this coming weekend a little bit different. While every big game offers an opportunity for coaches to recruit and promote their program, the first Oregon vs. USC game since 2020 offers a bit of an elevated stage.

It will be played at night, it will have high stakes, and it will be a picturesque environment inside Autzen Stadium.

“It’s gonna be huge,” Lanning said of the opportunity on Monday night. “It’s huge for the atmosphere that our fans create, it’s huge for the way that our team performs.

Recruiting in these scenarios, you don’t always get to spend as much time with the recruits as you want because you’re spending time preparing for the game, but that will be a big, big piece of this weekend.”

Already, some high-profile prospects are letting it be known on social media that they are headed to Eugene for the weekend, and as the week goes on, we will continue to see more visitors join the RSVP list.

As of now, here is an updated look at who is expected to take a visit to Oregon to watch the Ducks take on the Trojans...

The visitor list is starting to come together for a big-time recruiting weekend in Eugene with the Oregon Ducks vs. USC Trojans.

Ducks make final cut for 2025 five-star QB Bryce Underwood

Underwood is currently ranked as the No. 1 quarterback in the 2025 class and the No. 4 overall player in the Top 247. In the 247 Sports Composite, Underwood's rankings improve, as he currently sits as the No. 2 player overall in the 2025 class and No. 1 quarterback.

The Ducks were joined by Colorado, Penn State, Florida State, LSU, Alabama, and Michigan. Oregon offered Underwood this past July.

So far, the Belleville, Michigan, native has played in 10 games for Belleville High School and thrown for 2,051 yards, completing 67.5-percent of his passes for 26 touchdowns and one interception.

Underwood has sparingly run the ball this season, with only 85 yards on 16 carries and four touchdowns. In 2022, Underwood was named the MaxPreps National Sophomore Player of the Year and the MaxPreps Michigan Player of the Year.

Here's 247 Sports' Allen Trieu's scouting report on the talented quarterback: "Ahead of his years physically and looks like he could be a senior or college player already.

Has a strong arm with the ability to make throws to any part of the field. Throws a good deep ball and can use touch to give his receivers a chance to go make plays on the ball.

Did an exceptional job of taking care of the ball as a freshman with 39 touchdowns to just four interceptions. Got rid of the ball quickly and was decisive with the ball for the most part.

PREDICTION: Oregon Ducks to Land Five-Star Edge Rusher

Oregon's 2024 class is the talk of the town with the early signing period quickly approaching next month.

But Dan Lanning and the Ducks have been hard at work in the 2025 cycle as well, with a class that ranks No. 8 nationally according to 247Sports, headlined by Tampa Bay Tech (Fla.) wide receiver Dallas Wilson and San Diego (Calif) Lincoln quarterback and Duck legacy Akili Smith Jr.

Oregon hosted multiple five-star recruits on campus for their game against USC this weekend.

Today I'm predicting 2025 five-star Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei edge Nasir Wyatt to commit to the Oregon Ducks...

Nation's No. 1 RB Jordon Davison Has Another Strong Visit to Oregon

Jordon Davison is the top offensive recruit on the West Coast in 2025 and an early priority for the Ducks.

025 Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei running back Jordon Davison is the No. 1 back in his class and made the trip out to Eugene for Oregon vs. USC last weekend.

Ducks Digest caught up with the highly-coveted ball carrier to discuss his Oregon visit.

“I just wanted to see what they were doing with their backs in person," he said of why he got up to Eugene. "I just wanted to see what the process is and how everything is ran up there.”

Bucky Irving and Jordan James have been putting on a show all year and Davison liked what he saw.

“I’ve seen a lot of positives. I like how they use their backs in the pass game and the run game. Most of their stuff is creating one-on-one matchups with the backs. I like how they do that.”...

2025 four-star ATH Jonathan Epperson names four finalists, announcement date

Auburn (Wash.) Riverside 2025 athlete Jonathan Epperson has named a final four and set his announcement date.

Oregon"Oregon’s culture speaks volumes and I have been fortunate enough to get on campus a few times to see why they have been so successful these past two seasons under coach (Dan) Lanning. Seeing what he is doing there and seeing how the staff he has brought on does nothing but support him shows a promising future for the ducks. That’s one of the most important things for me is seeing that I can contribute to a team with a promising future. Plus their defense is amazing."

Oregon Ducks extend scholarship offer to Bo Jackson

There’s a headline that might grab your attention.

On Christmas Day, it was announced that the Oregon Ducks extended a scholarship offer to Bo Jackson, a 4-star running back in the 2025 class. Jackson is rated by 247Sports as the No. 97 overall player in the 2025 class, and the No. 8 RB.

Jackson stands at 6-foot-0, 205 pounds, and similar to the legendary Bo Jackson, he played baseball and runs track in high school as well.

Jackson ran a personal best 11.13 seconds in the 100-meter last May. He also ran the 200-meter in 22.24 seconds.

It is still early in his recruitment, so Jackson has not narrowed down his list of schools just yet, but he has offers from Oregon, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, and Wisconsin...
