Here we are my Duck-Buddies, the thread for pondering the actual game as it happens.  Let's discuss before, and during the game!

The vast majority of you are GREAT in this thread, but you must remember that this forum is different, as we require civilized discourse. Discussion of negative is fine, but don't vent on us!

Rule No. 31d covers GameDay Thread Conduct, and it is not hard for the vast majority of us--just a tiny few who need to reign it in when things don't go well for Our Beloved Ducks.

Let's Have Fun Posting During the Game!

Hope Camden has put things aright or aleft or maybe dead center.

I'm digging the throwback uniforms

9 in the box on that 3rd. Only rushed 4 but damage was done in Wards head. Great D

Feels like the swing pass play calling is getting predictable. WSU's defense was ready twice in a row.

Wow! And we have our answer. Should have gone for it coach.

We know it's not Camden's technique that's an issue. I'm guessing the confidence/psychological issues he has his freshman year might be resurfacing for whatever reason.

In any case this is not a good sign for special teams.

Keep throwing the ball down the field until they stop it. Our receivers are open every play.

Thats 2 misses in a row for Lewis. Kicking problems started in the Stanford game. Lanning has been seeing it in practice for 4 weeks now.

I feel for Cam as he apparently has got some tough voices in his head to overcome. And I especially feel for our team.

Not a great start

Let's go, get over it, start lighting it up

Glad they tried that trick play early in game and not at a critical juncture. That was terrible.

O seems off today

Nix needs to tuck and run on those broken plays.

Whew! I would've had a heart attack if he missed this field goal.

Agree. WSU is selling out to stop the run. If Nix pulls it a couple times they'll back off

Agreed.

But I'm also going to give the best college QB in the nation the benefit of the doubt.

And that was about as close to being blocked as it gets.

These refs are not inspiring any confidence.

That tipped pass call behind the line was a great call.

They got that pi call right, just took a sec

It was...after calling a PI on the wrong player.

So far this game is reminding me way too much of the Stanford game where we basically spotted them the first 20 minutes of the game.

Exactly. So isn't that a great call.

That’s 3 penalties on Cornelius.

 Play calling is atrocious

Wuts up with the Ducks?

Stein needs to open the playbook more. Those swing passes for runs are being stopped everytime. Seems like other teams have caught on to our tendency to do that the last couple of games. I'm frankly surprised they keep going back to that.

Given that they took forever to figure out where to spot the ball on the last play, I'm going to stick with they're not inspiring any confidence.

They're going to cause problems, especially if the game is tight at the end.

I know right?  So many of our pass completions start BEHIND the line of scrimmage...getting worried about Utah, but right now...how did AZ beat these guys 44-6, in Pullman???

Secondary getting eaten alive.  Not much pressure even rushing 4.

I'm just not quite ready to start blaming the refs yet.

Cougs look good Ducks not so much

As good as the defense is, it's not going to last forever. Will Stein and the offense needs to do their jobs and score.

I'm not blaming them, I'm simply predicting it based on what I'm seeing.

Lol... fine then.

WSU is moving the ball at will.

That Fuskie loss is getting us a 2nd time so far.

UW emotional hangover??  I think the secondary is missing Khyree

Bout time

Finally some Duck football!!

Okay, there we go...still have a long way to get to those 56 points I predicted!  Open it up Will!!
