DrJacksPlaidPants Moderator No. 2 Share Posted November 8, 2023 It’s as simple as this. Oregon needs to win out and they need Georgia to win out. That would effectively eliminate Texas because their best win would be against a two loss Alabama team.

And the Ducks to win out and take down UW in LV. What's Left for Teams with a Final 4 Chance - 1. Ohio State - MI St, Minnesota, at 3. Michigan 2. UGA - 9. Ole Miss, at 13. Tennessee, at Georgia Tech 3. Michigan - at 10. Penn State, at Maryland, 1. Ohio State 4. FSU - Miami, NO. Alabama, at Florida 5. UW - 18. Utah. at 12. Oregon State, WSU 6. OREGON - USC, at ASU, 12. Oregon State 7. Texas - at TCU, at Iowa State, Texas Tech 8. Alabama - at Kentucky, Chattanooga, at Auburn 9. Ole Miss - at 2. UGA, LA- Monroe, at MS St. 10. Penn State - 3. Michigan, Rutgers, at Michigan State 11. Louisville - UVA, at Miami, Kentucky It was so great to see Bo on the Playoff ranking show. But what is McElroy's damage? Fine with FSU at 4, but OREGON should be behind Bama and Texas? Oregon does not have North Alabama, Chattanooga, or LA - Monroe left on its schedule. 2

He’s not wrong at this time. Alabama has come back and beat some good teams. Oregon has one win against a team with a winning record (Utah). Everything will get sorted out by conference championship weekend. There’s still a lot of football left and Duck fans know that a late season trip to the desert with championship (and Heisman) hopes rarely ends well.

It would be nice if Mario could works some magic and knock off FSU and/or Louisville. He’s always good for an inexplicable upset or two.

And why OREGON wants UW to win out and for the Ducks to defeat UW in LV, decisively at that? Quinn Ewers will be back for the B12 champ game, probably versus a ranked OK State team. And Bama runs the table and defeats a 12-0 UGA in the SEC champ game? FSU is getting a lot of love for a win over 3-loss LSU and on the road against 5-4 Clemson. Louisville is not the same team on the road as it is at home. With this coaching staff, I am not concerned about the trip South.
HDuck No. 8 Share Posted November 8, 2023 Wins against one team with a winning record (Utah).... --uh, Oregon also has wins against three teams that are 4-5. Except for the Oregon loss, they would be 5-4. McElroy did lead Alabama to the 2009 title. He then went on to play in 2 total NFL games, and started 1. He is part of the legacy that Alabama has had to overcome with poor transition to NFL QBs....AJ McCarron, Mac Jones, Jay Barker...there was a long dry spell between Bart Starr, Joe Namath, Ken Stabler and the more recent Jalen Hurts and Tua. McElroy was part of that dry spell. 1

McElroy was part of that dry spell. Tua this season has been great against teams with a losing record and zero Ws vs teams with one. CJ Stroud was dissed and to date has been The Man in his rookie season. The Texans are most happy that CJ fell to #2, Year after year when it comes to QBs, these brilliant NFL scouts find a reason not to take the best QB. Bo has started 56 games and counting. Has a very quick release and better than decent downfield arm strength and accuracy. I'm a Pats fan. I went to the first game the Pats played in 1960. This may be over-the-top but I see a lot of Brady in Nix. Brady is bigger at 6'4" but Bo is right there in recognizing D formations and taking advantage of same. Recognition matters more than how deep you can throw the football. There is no substitute for in-game experience. IMO, there is no one better to lead OREGON through the next 3 games, a conference champ win, and into the playoffs. In the champ and playoff games, Stein has to let it all hang out. No more short-side roll-out plays on big plays. Let Bo use his legs as well as his arm and his passing the ball accuracy. Beat SC!

No. 4 FSU has shortest CFP odds Florida State remained No. 4 in the second College Football Playoff rankings released Tuesday night, but oddsmakers see the Seminoles with the easiest path to the final four. The top eight teams remained unchanged from the initial CFP rankings released last week, including Florida State being fourth behind Ohio State, Georgia and Michigan. However, the Seminoles have already clinched a spot in the ACC championship game. Their likely opponent is No. 11 Louisville, which has remaining regular-season games against Virginia, Miami and Kentucky. Florida State has -320 odds to reach the CFP at DraftKings, where Georgia is -240 and Michigan is -160. Interestingly, Ohio State is +110 behind even No. 6 Oregon (-110), with the Buckeyes staring at a Nov. 25 road showdown against the Wolverines to close the regular season.
