With Swinson on one side, and Thibs on the other--the Cal O-Line must be conscious of the outside rush. This opens up lanes on the inside if you can extract yourself from an offensive lineman leaning on you. KT was eating double teams all day against Stanford and still getting close to the QB, but not getting home. Get another solid pass rusher involved and you overload the line and someone gets home. Injuries have kept us from seeing what that front 7 can actually do. MC said today that we haven't seen what the front 7 can do yet because of players being dinged up. The linebackers haven't played as well because of the DL not getting the push they should... And then the back end of the defense getting burned more than they should because they there isn't enough pressure on the QB. We did see briefly in game 1 what this front 7 could do ...
