Mic No. 1 Share Posted November 17, 2023 College Game Day may be building the next Home Depot set in Harrisonburg, Va as we write but little James Madison University, at 10-0 isn't getting much respect either - to go along with OSU. According to a news article from Scripps JMU was hoping for a waiver (like the one that Jacksonville State tried for but was also denied) so as to appear in their first-ever New Year's 6 bowl game. As one of the nation's last un-defeated teams (with a good chance of staying that way) a bowl appearance would have been exciting and huge for the program. No deal, according to the NCAA spokesperson unnamed. The denial has to do with their changing of the Division they now play for. Apparently, there's a 2-year ban on bowl participation.by any team changing Divisions. Does this mean Oregon won't be eligible next year, and the year after because of their move to the Big-10?
