9:40 PM is the peak playing time for student-athletes, right? The NCAA advertisements are interminable.

From a South Carolina Gamecock forum...

"I watched Creighton today....they are slow and not particularly athletic...Their Big guy is good, but Oregon has two bigs who are just as good and way quicker and more athletic. Oregon will win. (We also would have beat Creighton who would have been a much better matchup for us than Oregon who is BOTH tall and athletic.....something we don't match up with well."

OBD Friends, are you as I am, rooting for B1G teams in the Tourney?

Northwestern's win over 2023/24 Final 4 FAU has the B1G undefeated in the first round with Wisconsin vs. JMU, Nebraska vs. A+M, and Purdue vs. Grambling State to be played today.

Based on results in recent tournaments this is a good showing by the B1G so far.

I am rooting for the Cyclones to blow Wazzu back to Pullman.

Creighton -5.5. Over/Under 146.5.

That's a healthy O/U. Points are expected to be scored.

Go Ducks! Pluck the Jays! Go 2-0 vs, Birds of a Different Feather and on to the Sweet 16.

The two year old daughter of my niece in Washington DC was very excited by the Duck mascot but I guess she will miss this game at that time.

This has all the earmarks for what should be a great game tonight. Can't wait.

Creighton can play with anybody in this years tournament. OBD's will have their hands full all game long.

This Creighton team split their season series against UConn and Marquette and beat Alabama. Their resume is solid and on paper they should be favored over the Ducks..

But wait, there's more....

The Duck team that has taken the court the last 4 games has Final Four potential

Creighton's coach, in a press conference felt that if Dante had been healthy all season that the Ducks would have earned a higher seed.  Maybe so.......

Doesn't matter, at this stage! The Ducks have a tournament tested HC, 2 seniors playing at the highest level and a team jelling at the right time.

If the Duck team of the last 4 games show up and play at that same level, then the Ducks move to the Sweet 16.....

Should be a fun but nerve wracking game.  GO DUCKS!

Is someone going to make a game thread?

Go Ducks!!!
