The time of the year when the topics to write about are scarce, thus a click-bait type of article.  Stein will have Gabriel doing just fine with the best receiving room in America, one of the best TEs in the nation, with one of the best offensive lines in college football.

And a Will Stein offense?  I predict....

I have no doubts that Coach Stein will have Mr. Gabriel and Company firing on all cylinders by the time they venture into corn valley for the first of many non conference beat downs of little cousin (no longer worthy of brother) beavis.

As with any new transfer coming into a new team there's always an adjustment period, that's perfectly normal.  But for RJ Young to interpret that as a "struggle" is a real stretch and shows he isn't really familiar with Gabriel or with Oregon as much as he thinks he does.

Also not sure why Gabriel would struggle any more or less than the new QBs at all the other contenders in the B1G…really is a wild guess on his part and you could pretty much cut and paste “QB X” at “Program Y” into the article.

Biggest difference is our transfer was good enough to beat a team that made the 4 team playoff last year.

Come to think of it, Bo was unable to do that. 🤔

Not a big risk to make the statement Dillon Gabriel "feels like... most likely...". Not a serious article imo.

Gabriel is in a much better position than Nix when Bo showed up. Gabriel has the support of a majority of Oregons fan base and arguably better tallent around him. Something Nix did not enjoy and had to earn in year one.

Also, more continuity in the coaching staff than when Nix showed up.
