cartm25 No. 2 Share Posted October 7 Not sure why Troy Franklin is struggling in the NFL. I've read that he's had issues with drops in workouts prior to draft, but I don't recall that ever being a problem while he was with the Ducks, right? Am I just remembering things wrong? What a painful miss. I don't recall hearing in college that he had issues hanging onto the ball. He always was such a rock star in games. Hopefully he figures it out. And I love seeing Bo sticking up for him.
Haywarduck Moderator No. 4 Share Posted October 7 It was overthrown a bit, but in the NFL you catch those. Hopefully Franklin continues to focus on upping his game to the NFL level. He has so many attributes needed at this level, but it will take some more hard work to reach that height. Bo Nix is proving he is at the NFL level as a rookie. He also shows he knows how to lead, and foster a team mentality. Kudos to both players for working on reaching their dreams! 1

NFL scouts that charted his plays noted and wrote how he dropped 10% of the passes thrown at him, although not the long ones like the pass this last weekend. Most were routine ones where he was thinking about where he was running next such as a Bubble Screen. 1 Mr. FishDuck

I wonder if some receivers, when they get to the NFL, get something like "the yips" . . . it's gotta be in your head that some really good, fast DBs are just a fraction of a second from taking you out from the side or behind, and that you've constantly got a target on your jersey.
