As it turns out, though, this contest ended up becoming one of the most-watched college football games of the season. On Monday, FOX revealed that a staggering 2.84 million viewers tuned in for this Friday night clash, making it the ninth-most watched game of the year.
...
While the viewership numbers from every game aren't released, this is a huge win for FOX, especially considering the Spartans were so clearly overmatched, and the game was on a Friday night rather than being a typical Saturday game.

Oregon is one of the most exciting teams in the country, though, and they are drawing millions of viewers every time they take the field, regardless of what time their game is at, or whom they are playing.

On the CW--the Beavers will get to that number in about five more games combined....  Whew!

Glad we're in the B1G!

And Fox and the B1G got Oregon for partial shares…

I’m confused - I thought “market size” was the only important criteria with TV ratings and conference expansion. How's that L.A. market doing?

Just to clarify, that is the 9th most watched on Fox only.   Not all games ABC, CBS, NBC, ESPN, Fox combined.

It was, however, the second most watched Friday game so far this season.

My guess is the viewership breakdown is something like this:  25% Duck fans, 25% MSU fans, 25% Duck curious football fans, 25% hate watching SUC fans.

My guess is 50% are not UO or MSU fans that just want want to watch a relevant game on Friday night.

We have been told the CW is "in 98 percent of American households" and "available without cable/satellite in most"

So that's as good as it gets for them. It's great for them they are on the CW and not a streaming service.
