Posted October 27, 2024Oct 27 Administrator We all look back at the days with Chip as certainly a "glory" era, and helped us get to where we are. Now I recognize that Chip has never come close to what he did at Oregon since he left, but they made a comparison that shook me for a moment. They said that..."after 34 games of being coach at Oregon, Lanning has equaled what Chip did in his first 34 games." Mr. FishDuck
October 27, 2024Oct 27 Moderator I was thinking about that, and I'm almost certain that after 53 games, Lanning is above 46-7.

But looking at how Ohio State played against Nebraska, a team that lost to Illinois, they don't look like they've done much improving. Don't get me wrong. They're still very good.

I was concerned that the Chip Kelly years might have been the high water mark for the program. It's crazy that Coach Lanning has matched and has the chance to surpass what Coach Kelly achieved at Oregon by winning a National Championship. CK brought us to the verge but didn't have the talent, especially on the offensive and defensive lines. Coach Lanning continues to bring in the talent to compete with the Georgia's, Alabama's and Ohio State's. The future is bright in Eugene, Oregon!
