Duckman60 No. 1 Share Posted 10 hours ago I have heard two stories about season tickets- 1-tOSU fans bought them just for the Oregon game 2-A friend of mine who has had season tickets for over 30 years says its not true about tOSU fans because there has been a waiting list duck season tickets for many year. Does anyone have more insight?
Charles Fischer Administrator No. 2 Share Posted 10 hours ago No true knowledge here, but my WAG. We had declining numbers of season ticket renewals that only turned around in 2023, thus the "waiting list" notion is mistaken, I believe. It sure looks like a ton of Ohio State fans did buy season tickets, but the surprise is how they are not selling the other games to Oregon fans? It looked like a ton of empty seats on TV.. 1 Mr. FishDuck
HDuck No. 3 Share Posted 9 hours ago Was at the Illinois game and shortly after kickoff I didn't see many empty seats in person. However, early fourth quarter the student sections looked like lemmings going over a wall.
Autzen Magic No. 4 Share Posted 8 hours ago Purely anecdotal, but when the Buckeyes were in town, I met a handful of their fans who said they bought season tickets and were confident that they were going to make $ by selling the tickets to the other game. Drake Moderator No. 5 Share Posted 5 hours ago I think you need to make a deposit in advance to obtain new season tickets. Season ticket renewal period is early every year, and they never know who will, or will not renew, until about April. Whether your order is filled is based upon how many seats you request, and the number of deposits in front of you for that year. Obtaining two seats is much easier than four, or more. There are years where availability is scarce. I think the cristball (no O) years there was a trend of higher non-renewals. I believe your friend was mistaken with the way it works, it is not really a waiting list.

Sounds like they had it all figured out, a real win, win!
30Duck No. 7 Share Posted 4 hours ago In 1976 I found a $100.00 and bought a pair of season tickets with it.
MarinDuck No. 8 Share Posted 2 hours ago We are first time season ticket holders. The athletic department reached out to us at the end of February by phone and indicated that we would likely not be able to purchase single tickets for tOSU game and that season tickets were our best path. A large portion of the cost is considered a donation and when I looked at what we paid for individual tickets for family weekend and OSU in 2023, knowing we would want to be in Autzen for Illinois, Ohio State and the Washington game, it was a no-brainer for us. There were not a lot of options (we purchased two seats) to choose from but we are in Club Level. Our seat mates next to us marveled at the fact that we got Club Level in our first year, and we think the seats behind us were Ohio State season ticket holders. So far we have been to every game but Boise State and are so happy we did it. Had Oregon not reached out to us, we would never have considered it! So, no wait list. No deposit. GO DUCKS!
