Jon Joseph Moderator No. 2 Share Posted November 3 Next man up! I'm pretty certain I could take over Tez's spot and the Ducks would still throttle the Terrapins. BTW, let's win the B1G and play 16, with OREGON's 2nd round PO game being played in the Rose Bowl, echoing 2015 and hopefully, with similar results. $70M + for Jimbo and $70M+ to make Jimbo disappear. BRILLIANT! More of Zach Neel's way over-the-top reporting and abuse of the English language. The injury while troubling, of course, is far from 'DEVASTATING.' As I recall, Tez was hurt early on in Ann Arbor and somehow, the Ducks eked out a victory. If the recovery time is four or so weeks and Oregon wins the B1G, Tez could be back for the Rose Bowl game. No team will enter the PO with all starters at the beginning of the season ready to play ball in the post-season. 1 2
HappyToBeADuck No. 3 Share Posted November 3 This team has quality, depth and a winning attitude throughout. The Ducks are pretty darn deep at receiver. Tez is special but the remaining weapons are exceptional OBD's are very thin at depth on the O Line. Our last 3 opponents are not loaded on their front 7. Whoever plays should be able to get the job done. Hopefully some original O Line starters will be available by the BIG CCG. At the QB position we are ultra thin. If DG goes down, it would be as devastating as losing Dixon. DG's experience, accuracy and mobility keep opponents off balance. The Duck opponents don't know what the next will be. The backups have talent but lack experience...... My concern would be the BIG CCG against tOSU or Indiana. We need all hands on deck. And the best players playing. 1 2

It smacks of opinion and NOT fact. An injury is 'unfortunate' for the team, its 'devastating' for the player if its season ending.
noDucknewby No. 5 Share Posted November 3 There was a silver lining to Holden's ejection and consequent suspension--the emergence of Justius Lowe. Not saying he makes up for Tez, but certainly he softens the blow if Tez is out for a while. Even with Tez out, we'd probably still have the best starting lineup we've ever had with Stewart, Holden and Lowe, not to mention our TE depth. McClellan looked good in the spring game and Dickey was a coveted 5* who's battled injuries, maybe he'll get his chance to shine. Hoping for the best with Tez, but the cupboard is hardly bare in the receiver room. 1

Isn't it a complete disservice that Harper and other linemen are excluded from the "Skill Player" label?

Hi all, sorry, my mistake on Harper, not sure now if Harper is fine or not. Charles mentioned that Dan Lanning said that Harper told Dan Lanning he is fine. We will need to wait and see now. I hear where you are coming from. The whole premise behind lineman not considered skilled players is only due to them not handling the ball. Even fullbacks and while sometimes considered skill position players, tight ends may not fall into this category if they are primarily used for blocking and do not touch the ball that often. I plan to be a very Lonely End wearing a uni that some brat wore on Halloween. Lining up next to the sidelines where I can get out of bounds in a hurry. I do think I know where I can find my leather helmet sans face mask.
