Haywarduck No. 2 Share Posted November 10 I would add as good as our RB's are looking, and they are pounding out yards, Jordan Burch looked absolutely amazing running the ball. If we brought back the pistol formation, Burch, with a running start, would make some players get out of the way! At almost 300lbs and with wheels stopping him won't be at the point of contact. It is also seems like the new Oregon defense isn't so much bend but don't break, it's bend and wait for a turnover opportunity. I would love to see that turnover margin last night continue going forward. As far as the officials, Oregon is just going with the old so what now what philosophy. The officials, along with the review process is pretty pathetic, I must admit. 1 1 1
Smith72 Moderator No. 3 Share Posted November 10 Jordan, what an awesome Chef (Writer) you are! You served us a tasty morsel of post game dessert. Thanks for today's article. I loved your caution about "on any given Saturday..."! Thankfully Oregon fans didn't have to eat that stew. "Lackluster, sluggish or dilly-dallying performances are essential ingredients for heartbreak stew, leaving dejected and sullen fans to eat their feelings at Thanksgiving dinner." 1 2
DrJacksPlaidPants Moderator No. 4 Share Posted November 10 That’s the first time I have ever seen the home team take their own fans out of the game with a 21 point win.
30Duck Moderator No. 5 Share Posted November 10 Oregon had an off game, offense was clunking, not clicking, penalties, on offense and defense, coping with out their main pass receiver and a leader on the OL and beat a team, coming off a Bye, with a future NFL receiver and others that have Maryland at No.34 in total offense and No.9 in passing offense, by 21. Meanwhile, Indiana, the 1st place team, alphabetically in the B1G, held on and got past Michigan and its "No Offense intended", 20-15, and they and the fans are dancing like the kids in "Footloose". These games happen, and when you're No.1, with the target on your back, you get the win and move on. 2
Solar No. 6 Share Posted November 10 Defense was clearly the reason we won. More specifically, batted balls are why we won. It has to have been about 10 of them, a fair amount of which we're going to be 1st down passes with their elite WRs consistently getting open. The sheer amount tells me the scouts identified the opportunity and they trained extra hard on it this week. The offense would have been the reason we lost, being very inconsistent. On the whole this was a letdown low emotion game, with some fixes to make on the OL and some minor injuries to recover from.
Just Ducky No. 7 Share Posted November 10 Birch brought back memories of the Fridge Perry in Pittsburgh. DB’s were frantically pooping themselves trying to get out of his way. If you didn’t you earned a trip to the ice bath. The team has obviously practiced those plays a lot cuz the execution was flawless. No you tackle him !! Gives me joy just thinking about it. Most entertaining drive I’ve seen in years. Even when they don’t play so good those kids are still having fun. Gos 1

Jon Joseph Moderator No. 9 Share Posted November 10 Thank you, Jordan, another terrific game recap. As you so noted it's November so Just Win Baby! Three undefeated P4 teams remain, OBD, Indiana, 10-0 for the first time in Hoosiers' history, and BYU with a very fortunate late 22-21 win in Salt Lake City. Army is the only undefeated G5 team. The Indiana win sets up a B1G PO Matchup Game in Columbus on 11/23. A 12-0 Oregon is playing in Indianapolis for the B1G title on December 7th as is an 11-1 Oregon with the tiebreaker over both Indy and Ohio State. UW once again did not fare well on the road. I Am Peeved! The Ducks game kicks off in Madison at 6:30 PM local time on NBC. The Fox Big Noon game is Utah at Colorado. CBS at 3:30 Eastern is broadcasting Penn State at Purdue! And the folks in the B1G offices in Chicago gave OBD back-to-back weeks of playing opponents coming off an Idle Week. Whatever, Just Win, Baby! The SEC? Georgia has no twitch, Bowers, McConkey, or game-breaking RB to help Beck. The Georgia O line looked like a sieve versus the Portal King's D line. Brian Kelly was 13-0 in night games at Tiger Stadium. He's now 13-1 with Bama emphatically shutting the door on LSU's Playoff hopes. Florida had a 3-star transfer from Yale at QB and not its 5* true Frosh stud. Not a good showing after the Florida AD announced that Billy Napier would be back in 2025. Which SEC team will show up on Saturday? UGA looked nothing like the team that defeated Texas. Texas looked nothing like the team that lost to Georgia. Ole Miss looked nothing like the team that lost to Kentucky in Oxford. And the Gamecocks sunk Vandy. Man, I would not want to be on the PO Committee. They best issue flak jackets to these folks. Thanks again, Jordan. WASTE WISCONSIN! 4 1
HappyToBeADuck No. 10 Share Posted November 10 Jordan, love the stew analogy... OBD's certainly threw enough ingredients into the pot. Hope all that is behind this team and the rythmn and flow returns to the offense.Another week of practice should help Iuli get the rust off. Maryland worked hard and their game plan, coupled with Duck penalties allowed the Terps to control the clock. That combo, thrown into the stew allowed Maryland to limit OBD's possessions and scoring opportunities This team has truly excelled at overcoming key injuries all season. This game was no different. Key injuries were the main ingredient in the stew pot However, though shaky, the next man up stew ingredient was successful.... The defense was aggressive, hard hitting and relentless. Only defensive and special teams penalties kept Maryland in this game. But the outcome was never in doubt. The defense threw points into the stew. Call it the special seasoning...... DL and staff along with the players have shown this fan their work effort toward improvement. Wisconsin will demand that the Ducks continue to improve if they want to leave Madison with a win. Are we confident this will happen? This fan is...... Go Ducks.....

Santa Rosa Duck No. 12 Share Posted November 10 For those of you who were at the game, was Autzen rocking? Was it loud? It is hard to tell watching the TV but to me, it did not seem to have the huge crowd energy that I have come to expect.

Right, with moves like this one, he was running like a WR, crazy! With the top DE recruit on the sideline, do you think Lanning made this call? Lanning is so far ahead of most people it isn't even fair. 1
