FishDuck Article Administrator No. 1 Share Posted Friday at 10:05 AM The more the history of Washington Husky Athletics becomes known to the members of the B1G, the more likely they will begin to regret their invitation to Montlake. Yes, the conference will take the additional revenue generated by the Seattle market, but the sordid history of the Men of Washington is embarrassing to all. Fortunately, the Hapless Husky men are ... Charles Fischer Administrator No. 2 Share Posted Friday at 02:22 PM It is a good thing that I have to manually approve every new OBD member registration. It will stop some Huskies cold before they can even try to Troll! 2 Mr. FishDuck
DrJacksPlaidPants Moderator No. 3 Share Posted Friday at 02:30 PM I didn’t know Oregon beat the SEC schools in bass fishing. That’s a bigger deal than beating them in football IMO. 1 1
30Duck Moderator No. 4 Share Posted Friday at 02:35 PM Thanks, Charles for shining a light on the purple stain on the B1G. Washington athletics is like that commercial where the people knock over the cup of grape juice and are in a panic until a paper towel saves them. No paper towel can save the B1G. Fortunately, Washington is such a little drip it won't be noticed unless you strain to look for it. Detlef Schrempf. For some reason I can't get this guy out of my memory bank. He played at UW in the early 80's. He would play for the Pacers, Sonics and Blazers in the NBA, at Portland he was on the 2000 team that blew a 15 point lead in the 4th quarter of game 7 in the Western Conference Finals to the Lakers. How about Markelle Fultz? You remember him? He was a 1 and done from UW, No.1 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, that's the highlight of his career. Of course, you remember Ryan Appleby. The aftermath of an altercation with Aaron Brooks, that Brooks would attempt to make right This is basketball, there's so much more and we haven't even brought up football. But, OBD will take care of business on Saturday and set their sights on their real rival, osu2.
Charles Fischer Administrator No. 5 Share Posted Friday at 02:40 PM 30Duck...you have a fantastic memory of Oregon Basketball, and you brought back some great rivalry names. But this memory with Washington reigns with me... "I own this place." 1 1 1 Mr. FishDuck
Haywarduck Moderator No. 6 Share Posted Friday at 04:23 PM What is fascinating too is the ratio of men to women at Washington. Nationally women outnumber men 58% to 42%, more women go to college. At Mountlake 53% of the enrollment identify as men. They still can't find enough real men to win at anything. They may not need signs, although the guy has one????, they just need some real men. 30Duck Moderator No. 7 Share Posted Friday at 04:26 PM Pritchard's shining moment!!! That game, he's hitting 3's all over, especially the game winner. I'm sure this year's Ducks will keep their property intact. Hec Ed is pretty much Baltic Avenue, but it can be used to store stuff.
Duckman60 No. 8 Share Posted Friday at 04:41 PM Regret it? This is why they choose them! Its like allowing the rich kid on the team even though they are a terrible athlete. The league will benefit from the Seattle market more then they will lose due to their athletic mediocracy The Big10 will also gain from the heated Oregon/Washington rivalry, those games will be better for TV then Washington/Minnesota game. Then in about 5 years when the Huskies have fallen to Beaver status (not really competitive with us) and Bucky (tOSU) has become our new heated rivalry you have a team that you can match up with Northwestern. They could call it the Purple Bowl and the winner gets the Eggplant trophy.
