OregonDucks No. 1 Share Posted December 8 One Year After Pac-12 Dissolved Oregon and ASU Reach CFP FRONTOFFICESPORTS.COM The success of former conference members, who won their new league championships on Saturday, is just more salt in the wound for the Pac-12. Remind me again why the Pac had to dissolve?

The PAC12 could not/would not pay the Trojans enough money so they took the cash-starve bruin baby brothers and bolted. When GK waived a paltry sum in the faces of the rest of the PAC, those who could, jumped ship for greener pastures. This who couldn’t blamed everything and everyone but themselves.. After all, the only thing they did not do was be worth enough $$$ for someone to went them, or they’d have bolted too… The Pacific State School Conference may call themselves the PAC whatever, but they will always by G5 pretenders. I don’t think they ever get recognized with a P4 designation.
Haywarduck No. 6 Share Posted December 8 Two Oregon coaches won conference championships. A third probably should have, but we all know that story. As for the beavs, I believe the definition of a conference is many, and two just doesn't cut it. The last time they won, outright, was in the 60's so their trophy will much appreciated and lauded, I am sure.

But doesn't the-on-field success of the former Pac-10 schools - two conference championships and two playoff teams -- show that the Pac-10 was worth the $$$? Not to mention the footprint and access to later night TV inventory. It still doesn't make sense to me why a West Coast conference was not viable. The brand of football and entertainment value was certainly more entertaining than the B1G, SEC, Big-XII, etc. How are the LA teams feeling about their larger TV shares, now? TV Execs - Did you get a good return for your investment in the LA schools? Edited December 8 by OregonDucks

The LA teams felt real good about it til Oregon and Washington joined them, then the crying, whining, keaning, and wailing went to the next level. While the LA-La teams love and will continue to love their shares, they are not happy to be middle to bottom tier teams (which is where they will be for the foreseeable future). TV Execs came out on top. They rigged the game so they always do.
