"Oregon hasn't paid its dues" is one retort, accompanied by the even more laughable, "Oregon just bought their championship!? which has been solidly rebuked. If they don't comprehend the multi-layered strategies Oregon has used to build their program, then they're being completely hypocritical because none of the players Oregon bought are 1st Team All- Americans. Oregon would have to win 5 out of the next 10 titles to be accepted and even then there would be the Feinbaums of the world explaining why it wasn't done the correct way.
