Great and necessary to have the revenue and exposure, but overall top to bottom, this conference really has nothing competitively on the PAC in its heyday.

I don’t think this was an outlier season either. I believe the nation is going to come to an understanding of how challenging the Pac-12 really was, and the story of its complete mismanagement will be one of the most tragic cautionary tales in sports history.

It will never matter to everyone outside of the west coast; they did not watch us before, and never would had we remained in the Pac, thus never know our true value. I do believe that Oregon's talent is elevated by being in the B1G with Dan Lanning at least 20% above what it would have been in the old Pac.

I still believe that what the AD did this past year is amazing, and would hope Oregon fans appreciate it.

BTW...the "backlink" in the beginning of the article that helps to pay the bills of the two sites? The SEO company is in Bulgaria, and the link was to a casino site in New Zealand, and I am in Eugene Oregon? That is about as international as you can get!

Yes, as we’ve known for decades, “physical” is often been a euphemism for slow when it comes to the garden variety B1G imo.

Are there exceptions at the top? Absolutely.

But they don't have to wait till January anymore.

USC, due to volume, has the No. 1, to date, 2026 recruiting ranking. But what team is mining recruiting gold? OBD, of course! 😍

It's nice that a mainstream CFB site recognizes Coach Lanning and friends ' recruiting prowess. How many CFB fans would know that Oregon has the highest number of Blue-Chip recruits to date? The media is all over Oregon commits who decommit, but not when top recruits commit.

Once Oregon got the support needed they built sports facilities that as a whole are second to none. The AD and supporting alumni then hired coaching staffs that are capable to recruit and compete at the highest levels.

As a graduate of 1982, when I take the time to stroll around the campus, and enter the various sports venues, I am in awe of what has been accomplished. Can’t wait to see the new football facility…

Oregon is here to stay.

Every time I read one of "those" columns (looking at your Canzano) about how college football will revert to regional divisions (to include OSU/WSU) I think what impact that would have. It would mean, once again, the West would be an afterthought. Poor publicity. Poor kickoff times, etc. It is a fantasy to think there would be equal divisions across the nation.

I would guess a version of Clownzano’s dream will eventually happen, but not as he fantasizes. There will probably be a formal break away with a new division/super league/whatever you want to call it. Whoever doesn’t become part of that new world order will probably reorganize with other non top tier schools, which could/should include some geographic realignment.

What this shift won’t include imo, is arbitrarily elevating current G6 programs based on geography. Quite the opposite.

We won the regular season in football going 9 - 0 and then won the 1 game tournament vs Penn St. to "win" the BIG Football Championship.

Ha! You made me laugh out loud with the beautiful logic that you used. But we don’t determine a regular season champion in football, it is determined by the top two who then play thus I cannot call it a regular season and tournament separately.

In fact, I do not recall anybody declaring a regular season champion, unless you prefer to Rick Neuheisel and his Pacific Northwest championship?

Washington claimed a Pac-12 (at least North) Championship in 2020. They didn't play Oregon so they counted that "no-contest" as a win for them even though they couldn't field a squad.
