Can’t afford losing defensive lineman. Not enough of those to go around.

It's a loss only if you cannot find a better guy in the portal. The problem is that the OR HC is trying to serve 2 masters.

This is a head scratcher... you have a defensive minded HC and an excellent co DC hire.

 

 Part of me wants to wish all these kids well where they go, but there is the old school "show some commitment to a choice you have made" side that just wants them to learn a lesson too. Jeeeesh.

Alot of these guys probably wanted to leave during the season.  I honestly dont know if Ill miss anyone on our current line with the way we were manhandled by Utah and Stanford

Quack. Who knows how many 'runners' for other teams are trying to recruit kids off the roster and into the portal with promises of NIL riches? 

 

The NFL has via contract, limits on free agency. There are no such limits in CFB today and no one is in charge of regulating 'tampering' and other untoward behavior.

Interesting take on the current landscape of college football and NIL agreements. Business savvy adults know promises mean nothing in the business world.
 

Top college players will now have fist fulls of cash being waved around as if it were Monopoly money. 
 

What could go wrong?

Just because you play football does not make you smart. 

That's a downer, he has the size and potential to be a really good DT for Oregon.  He should at least wait and see who is the DL coach before making a decision.
